Black Friday Deals Art & Colour Therapy Postcards (20) Only $9.12 & Free Shipping @ Book Depository

Book Depository is running their Black Friday deals all week. While browsing their sale, I found Art Therapy Postcards (20) and Colour Therapy Postcards (20) on sale from $16.22 down to $9.12 with free shipping. With adult colouring books being so popular these days, I thought that adult colouring postcards might be a hit too. Colour in each postcard and then send it out to a loved one, family member, or friend.

Pick up one set of postcards or pick up both sets as each booklet has 20 postcards with therapeutic pictures to colour. Once done colouring (or before), you can pull the postcards out of the book. Each has a space on the back for a message, address, and stamp. These are fully functioning post cards. Read the rest of this entry »

Half Price 60x Prismacolor Art Pencils, now only $25 & Free Shipping @!

Posted by on October 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM

Half Price 60x Prismacolor Art Pencils, now only $25 & Free Shipping @!*** BUMP – now back at an even lower price! ***

In the past, I wrote about a set of great Prismacolor artist pencils, a deal which many Bargainmoosers took advantage of. While browsing the site this morning, I found another great deal on a similar set of Prismacolors, and it’s definitely worth a mention here. This time, it’s a set of 60 high quality artist pencils, and it was originally priced at $50.40. They’re discounted by more than half, down to only $25.06. And because this item is over $25, you’ll get free shipping on your order (regardless if you’re a Prime subscriber or not) as these pencils come directly from Amazon Canada.

If you work it out, this is a cost of $0.42 per pencil (if you decide you want to compare to other brands).

If you’re serious about doing some adult colouring, I’d recommend you throw this Prismacolor sharpener in your cart as well. I was sharpening some of my daughter’s pencils last week, and I got such hand cramps! I ended up trying to use vice grips on the little teeny sharpener to try and decrease the cramps in my hand from sharpening about 100 pencils! Read the rest of this entry »

24x Derwent Inktense Coloured Pencils were $73 now $37 @!

In case you haven’t noticed, I am on a bit of a hunt for deals on good quality artist pencils! I’ve found a few great prices over the last week or so, and I’ve stumbled on another superb price today. This set of 24 Inktense Pencils from Derwent is currently on offer at – now half price. Originally costing $72.79, you can pick up these colourful bad boys for only $37.16, with free shipping.

Here’s a blurb from the product description to tell you exactly what these pencils can do:

Pure, vibrant watersoluble ink pencils that combine the intensity of pen & ink with the versatility of line & wash. Create strong vivid tones then wash over with water for a translucent ink-like effect. Once dry, this color wash is permanent & can be worked again using other media.

These sound like an absolutely excellent set of pencils. And the ratings on confirm this too – they have 4.9 out of 5 stars, with 24 five star ratings! The comments are extremely positive, with songs of praise from artists and graphic designers alike. Read the rest of this entry »

(64% off) Sargent Art 50x Colored Pencils were $22 now $8 @! (EXPIRED)

A few days ago here, I wrote about a great deal on a set of Prismacolor artists pencils on Amazon Canada. That price is still available if you’re interested, but Amazon has now alerted me to another deal on a similar set, which is also really great. For only $8.02, you can get this set of 50 Sargent Art pencils.

Now, while this set of Sargent pencils isn’t quite as high a percentage discount as yesterday’s offering (as this one comes in at 64% off), it’s still a superb price for a set of 50 professional colouring pencils. If you have Amazon Prime, then you can get these shipped for free. If not, you could spend $25+ for free super saver shipping. Read the rest of this entry »

My favourite animal is the lovely horse. I have loved horses ever since I was a child and, as I have grown, this love of the creatures has stayed with me. I took horseback riding lessons when I was young and have always dreamed of owning a horse. Since I live in a small apartment in a small city, the best I can do is horse art. This lovely White on White horse print is currently on sale from $93.99 down to $22.99 – that is 76% off. After coupon code, pay just $13.79. They will give you the option to frame it but I think you could frame it cheaper yourself. Up to 80% Off Sale & 40% Off Coupon Code (EXPIRED)

I delight in large discounts on beautiful items! While not my cup-of-tea, this art print of The Seine at Asnieres by Renoir is pretty famous. The 100cm x 70cm art print usually retails for $43.99, but it is now on sale for $10.99. After coupon code, pay $6.59.

You can also purchase framed prints and pictures on stretched canvas. I have a love affair with old powder rooms and rooms that just oozed femininity. Thus, I enjoy this Shabby Chic Room on canvas. Originally $37.99, the canvas is on sale for $15.99. Pay $9.59 after coupon.

For framed art, may i suggest a little Monet? This Monet framed print is both famous and small! Originally $99, Boulevard Des Capucines by Monet (25 x 30 cm) is on sale for $49.99. Pay just $29.99 after promo code.

Choose from so many amazing prints, framed prints, and canvas prints in the sale section. With up to 80% off the original price before the additional 40% off coupon code, you are sure to score an incredible deal.

Shipping depends upon what you are buying. A simple print only costs around $7 to ship whereas framed prints and canvas prints are substantially more. I would probably stick with just art prints to keep shipping costs low and then get the print framed here.

400x Sargent Art Crayons (8 Colours) Were $55 Now $10 @ Amazon Canada! (EXPIRED)

400x Sargent Art Crayons (8 Colours) Were $55 Now $10 @ Amazon Canada! (EXPIRED)

Hit up today for a super deal on some kid’s crayons – you can grab this box of 400 Sargent Art crayons for a mere $9.99. That works out at just over $0.02 per crayon!

If you buy this item on its own from Amazon Canada, it wouldn’t be eligible for free shipping. However, if you’re an Amazon Prime member, you get free two day shipping on most items on site, so you’d get it with this item. If you’re not an Amazon Prime member, then I would recommend making your cart up to $25 to get free super saver shipping. I am sure there are plenty of other items on Amazon that you need. Or you could just buy three sets – 1200 crayons!

The description for this item from the Sargent Art site says:

Sargent Art Crayon Displays are vibrantly coloured and filled with quality, economy & value. These crayons are bulk packaged for ease of use and convenient storage. Eight colours per box.

In terms of a price comparison, I can say that this exact crayon set isn’t sold at many other online Canadian stores. I did find it for $47.08 here at Rose Delta, an Edmonton based store. A similar set but with only 200 crayons is $94.46 here at Hookbag.

Something that I was thinking was that these could make a good gift if you’re filling some loot bags for a kid’s party. There are 50 boxes of 8 crayons each, so they’d go a long way. There are a lot of other uses for the crayons too, other than just home use. For example, if you work in a restaurant, daycare, nursery, or anywhere that you need to keep kids entertained for a bit, then a bulk lot of these crayons would be a great idea.

But I’ve also just had a brainstorm – these would be excellent for the various crayon art that you see all the time on Pinterest! There are hundreds of creative things you can do with crayons, including this melted crayon picture shown above. This is on my to-do list to try!

Some other crayon art ideas:

How about you, would you like to try any of the above?

Chapters Indigo: 75% Off Minted Art Prints

Chapters Indigo: 75% Off Minted Art Prints

Art is one of those things we buy to make our house look welcoming, to express our personality, and to hide imperfections on our walls. Currently, Chapters Indigo Canada has two art prints, in two different sizes, on sale for 75% off their original prices. Choose from Scootin’ by CRAFT Design or Elegampersand by Snow and Ivy. 11 x 11″ prints were $44 and are now only $11. Elegampersand also comes in a 16″ x 16″ that was $66 but is now $16.50.

While these prints are from Minted, the actual art is crowd sourced! You can see that these two prints feature different artists’ work with very different styles.

As art goes, these are fairly inexpensive pieces because of the 75% off discount. You could purchase one of these and an inexpensive frame to go with it, then your art would be ready for hanging. I like the Scootin’ pieces best because it plays with yellow and blue: colours that complement each other well. It would not match much of my decor, unfortunately, and my walls are green so that does not help.

However, Scootin’ is a lovely print for a boy’s room. The theme of a scooter is ageless, so the art print would most certainly remain relevant throughout the different age brackets. Even adults would enjoy this print. Therefore, it could be something he has for years.

I could see Elegampersand being just perfect for a sewing room or a baby’s room. The floral patterns are calming and elegant. I like the idea of putting this print in a baby’s room. Ampersand is stands for “and”, so it makes me think of adding a new addition to the family.

Art is very personal. I tend not to give art as a gift unless I know the person loves that artist. However, I do not mind buying art for myself or very close family members.

All orders of $25 or more qualify for free shipping. You may want to check out the rest of the sale section for other great deals. They recently added a bunch of new stuff to the sale section. So, check out the other deals before you checkout your cart contents.

Eyes on Walls: 15% Off Sitewide & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

Posted by on March 13, 2015 at 4:00 PM

Eyes on Walls: 15% Off Sitewide & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

Eyes on Walls recently switched from paid shipping to free shipping across Canada, which I mentioned here. This is now the first sale since that change – a great time to pick up a new piece of art. Receive 15% off everything at Eyes on Walls. The discount is already showing on the site, no coupon code is necessary.

Mini Art Blocks are an approachable price-point for new art. Originally $34.99, all mini-art blocks are on sale for $29.99 with free shipping. Mix and match artists or purchase a few blocks from your favourite artist. I rather like Mr Tiger and would love to have the print in my house.

Now, you can save even more when you buy pre-made packs of art blocks. The “Revenge” Series Set of 4 art prints is valued at $140 but was only $99.99. Now, the set of four prints is on sale for $84.99. That works out to $21.25 per block. There is a plethora of sets to choose from, just click here. I would pick up the “Agnes Cecile 2″ Series Set of 4 on a heartbeat – incredible artwork.

Limited edition prints are cool. You can get them framed just the way you like and it is a way of supporting your favourite artist. I like limited edition prints as less people will own the same piece I have. There is value in rarity. This gorgeous Aerial and Accordion is so limited that there are only 100 prints! Originally $79, you can buy just the print for $69. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity and is signed, and numbered. The matted and framed edition will run you quite a bit more money.

Of course, art is wearable. Check out the apparel section for t-shirts with your favourite art prints. This Akiba Exit Unisex Tee appeals to my independent spirit. Originally $32, it is now $27.99. Sizes start at extra-small and go up to 2XL. As these are unisex t-shirts, make sure to console the sizing chart for the appropriate size to order.

If you really love a certain artist, you can support them through buying an original piece of art! Originals start on the $200 range and go up from there. Tuned In is on sale from $300 down to $255.99. This is an original painting on board by the artist.

As everything ships for free across Canada, this is a pretty great deal on art and a good way to brighten up your walls.

Toys R Us Canada: Crayola 3-in-1 Easel Was $55 | Now $33 & Free Shipping

Posted by on March 13, 2015 at 3:22 PM

Toys R Us Canada: Crayola 3 in 1 Easel Was $55 | Now $33 & Free Shipping

Got a toddler who loves to do art on your walls? Stop him or her now with this Crayola 3-in-1 easel from Toys R Us. Regularly $54.99, it is now $32.97. I do say that is free shipping, but it is actually $0.57 shipping. You’ll get $10 off your shipping on this item, and the shipping was $10.57 for me, making my shipping a cool couple of quarters.

My kids actually had two easels when they were younger. One withstood so much over the years as a paint easel. The other I used for magnetic letters and numbers. This one easel can do double duty for both of those tasks. It has a chalkboard on one side and a white board on the other side. Your child can draw directly on the easel or clip up paper on either side to have the artwork to keep. Hint: get the paper from Ikea the next time you are there as it is super cheap!

This set also comes with the letters and numbers – 77 to be exact, plus an eraser. What’s great about magnetic letters and numbers (that aren’t piling up on your fridge) is that kids can learn their letters and numbers, names and easier words and they don’t have to write them out. They can stick them up on the board, which honestly, kids love doing.

There are some mixed reviews on there, which I think some could be attributed to how it was put together, but also price. Well, with over $20 off, I think this easel is great value.

Our 2 year old budding artist of a granddaughter just adores this. Very easy to set up and move around. Also very durable as she tends to lean in the middle of the easel picking out her coloring books and crayons! It would have been nice to have included crayons, marking pens or chalk but we had some on hand regardless. Would recommend it highly!

I couldn’t find this set anywhere else, but I did see that it was previously on sale but not this low, so this is the best price it has been. If you are looking for something a little more for older kids and are willing to spend a bit more money, there is a really great deal on the Imaginarium Master Studio easel. It was regularly $129.99, now $77.97. The shipping is a bit higher on this easel, but your savings with the price will cover that.

Eyes on Walls Canada: Free Shipping No Minimum

Posted by on February 23, 2015 at 2:30 PM

Eyes on Walls Canada: Free Shipping No Minimum

Eyes on Walls Canada has just introduced free shipping with no minimum for Canadians! Previously, Eyes on Walls had a $8.95 flat rate on all orders with no minimum even to receive free shipping.

This change may or may not be permanent. It all depends on the volume of orders they receive. If they receive an increase in orders due to the new free shipping policy, then it may be a viable business model to continue with the free shipping. I have to say that shipping charges often deter me from placing an order, so this new policy at Eyes on Walls makes me very happy. They carry artwork for some of my favourite artists.

For thrifty art lovers, pick up a Mini Art Block to keep your budget low and your walls full. Each block only costs $34.99 with free shipping. You can mix and match art blocks to create an art mural on an accent wall in your home. Sweet Peacock is one of my favourite prints by Camilla D’Errico – I would love to have this piece on my wall.

Whenever there is free shipping at any store, I hightail my way to the sale section. You can save on a set of four art blocks here. This “Bestsellers” Series Set of 4 mini art blocks was $140 and is now $99. That works out to $24.75 per art block, saving you just over $10 per block.

Walls can only hold so much art before the look cluttered or you simply run out of space. Why not put art on something else – like pillows? This Little Red Throw Pillow was $50, and is now on sale for $29.99 with free shipping. Brighten up your space with beautiful art pillows like this one.

Now, this free shipping promo is not only awesome because everyone likes free shipping. It is also an incredible deal in light of what Eyes on Walls sells. Art prints, framed art prints, canvas blocks, and more are large, bulky items that require a good deal of packaging and would usually cost a fortune to ship. If you purchase a large print, that is a lot of packing materials and a good deal of postage to get it from Montreal to elsewhere in Canada. Therefore, free shipping is an incredible deal from Eyes on Walls.

  • Coupon Code: MOOSE40OFF
  • Discount: 40% off
  • Expiry: 7th November 2014

Get your act together and get shopping at AllPosters, as you only have today to get this discount. I’ve shopped at AllPosters before and I got my items quickly and without hassle.

It looks like they have a new photo framing and mounting service. The prices are great too, even before coupon. For example, the smallest canvas you can create is 20×25, and it starts at $39.99. With coupon, that price comes way down. I have a few photos from a recent trip that I’d love to get put on canvas or framed in large format and this definitely looks like the cheapest price.

If you like Breaking Bad, or know someone who does, a Heisenberg and Crossbones zip hoodie might be the perfect gift under the tree this year. I know my husband would not hesitate to wear this every single day. Regularly $51.99, you’ll get for $31.19, which is a $20 savings.

If you love photography and recently watched the movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, those Life photographs might have you wanting a few on your walls. While they aren’t inexpensive to start at $138.99, with the exclusive coupon, you’ll get them for only $83.89. This Hells Angels motorcycle gang riding in a pack on the road is a striking photograph and one I’m sure you’d get asked about repeatedly.

While this is AllPosters Canada, they unfortunately ship from the U.S., so you may incur duties at your door. The few times I’ve ordered from them, I was not charged duties. The shipping costs will depend on the heaviness and size of your order. Get more exclusive coupons and more from AllPosters in our coupon forum.

Eyes on Walls: $50 off All Canvas Sets

Posted by on October 10, 2014 at 9:30 PM

Eyes on Walls: $50 off All Canvas Sets

Decorating your home is one of the many joys of home ownership and rental (with nice proprietors). Save $50 on canvas sets, for your walls, at Eyes on Walls Canada.

You can choose from two, three, or four canvas sets. These sets have the picture going across all the canvases though there are a few that are just similar ideas by the same artist. While you may wonder why someone would split the picture up instead of having it on one canvas, it really is aesthetically pleasing with many of the images chosen. Here is the pricing tier:

  • 2 Panel Canvas Sets – Was $199 | Now $149
  • 3 Panel Canvas Sets – Was $299 | Now  $249
  • 4 Panel Canvas Sets – Was $299 | Now  $249

You save the greatest percentage – 25% – on the two panel canvas sets. Here are some of my favourites.

I have mentioned Afterburner by HR-FM before because I like the print so much. It really gives me a Millennium Falcon feel. I love the thrusters and the colour palette is out of this world. It reminds me of the sun burning hot on rusty metal in the desert. While it seems like a strange image to split onto two canvases, I like it. Each thruster takes a prominent position on each canvas.

After Hours by Aaron Jasinski certainly does the double canvas structure justice. You see how the artist really played with both sides of the image while leaving the middle open. They are not completely separate, rather her arm serves as a connection between the two pieces on the top, and the piano connects on the bottom. While this piece can be bought on one canvas, I think it looks better this way.

However, The Real You by Aaron Jasinski looks like it was made for two canvas panel sets. The robot and the man are near perfectly symmetrical reflections of each other. The middle is empty space that is perfect for breaking up. I also love the masks that each character holds. It is as if they are trying to look through each other’s eyes.

Canvas sets come ready to hang, which is why I like them so much. Just pop a couple nails in the wall and you have yourself a new focal point. Your room looks all the better for it.

Shipping costs a flat $8.9 per order. That is very good considering the size and fragility of what is being shipped.

Nuvango Coupon Code: Exclusive 15% Discount Sitewide

Nuvango Coupon Code: Exclusive 15% Discount Sitewide

The wonderful Nuvango (previously Gelaskins) has given us an exclusive 15% discount on their skins, cases, art, and more. Enjoy my beloved Moosers!

Click here to shop a plethora of artwork @ Nuvango now

  • Coupon Code: 15MOOSE
  • Discount: 15% off
  • Expiry: 23rd October 2014

I have a long history with Nuvango (under their former name) because I have owned their products for years. When I owned Macbooks, I used the skins to keep the lids free of damage and in pristine condition. It had the added benefit of increasing their resale value as people value a well-kept laptop. I also put skins on all my iPads and recently sold my old iPad 2 with skin for a healthy amount of money. The people appreciated the scratch free back and beautiful art of my chosen skin.

I currently own an iPhone 5S with the hard case. While I had a skin on my phone, I found that the abuse a phone receives warrants protection that is more durable. I would like to get a second case just so I can change it up a bit. This Saucer Bar print by Christopher Wild is cute. It does not look to be his usual style, but I love the colours and the two little purple blobs with eyes just do it for me. It gives me that feeling of a place I would like to visit. The iPhone hard case costs $35 but after coupon comes down to $29.75. It is a shame that the case for my iPhone 5 cuts off most of the purple blobs.

By the way, I highly recommend adding on the screenguard for $8 (after coupon just $6.80). It is totally worth it! I got the screen guard with my case and it has been on for nearly two years now! I really need to change it out as it has a deep gouge in it now, but it has protected my phone screen so well.

I MUST bring attention to a certain artist they are currently featuring. Holy crap they have Frank Frazetta. If you do not know who this person is… he is like a god of early comic book art, cover art, and illustrations (perhaps most known for Conan the Barbarian). His work is so definitive that people copy and pay tribute but never can equal. Barbarian is one of his most famous pieces but I must get my hands on Egyptian Queen. I just love the way Frazetta draws women. Maybe that is my next iPhone 5S cover!

The only way this would be better is if they had BROM art. *hint hint*

All prices in US dollars and all orders are shipped via UPS. While Nuvango bills in USD, all Canadian orders are shipped from within Canada and GST/HST will be charged at checkout (no duty). Shipping depends on what you are order and where it is shipping.
