Amazon Canada: $30 Off – KitchenAid Appliances For $39.99

Amazon Canada: $30 Off KitchenAid Appliances For $39.99

Amazon Canada has a great KitchenAid sale on select appliances. Get chef’s choppers, hand mixers, and immersion blenders for just $39.99!

My kitchen is full of KitchenAid appliances because I have worked with a lot of appliances in my short life and they are the best. Unfortunately, all my appliances are not matching. However, we do have two lovely empire red appliances: my husband’s food processor and my beloved blender, which is perhaps the most used appliance of them all. I would love to match any future appliances to them. I could get this KitchenAid KHM512ER 5-Speed Hand Mixer in Empire Red for only $39.99, originally $69.99. It is perfect for when you just need a little beat action but don’t want to haul out the stand mixer. I could also get this KitchenAid KFC3511ER 3.5-Cup Chef’s Chopper in Empire Red for only $39.99, originally $69.99. I would actually prefer it to our food processor. I’m not a big fan of the huge food processor because usually, what I want to chop is only a couple cups of nuts or herbs. This chopper would be perfect for me.

If I got to colour code my kitchen appliances all over again, I would not go for empire red. I would actually be all over this stunning crystal blue! You can get all three of the sale appliances in this beautiful colour:

Isn’t that just the prettiest colour ever?

Get free shipping on items that cost $25 or more!

Lowes Canada: Boxing Day In July Sale

Lowes Canada: Boxing Day In July Sale

I think these companies are crazy: Boxing day in July? Either way, Lowes Canada is having a Boxing Day in July sale with up to $800 off appliances.

You can save on refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, or dishwashers. All large appliances are expensive, but here are some deals I found:

Appliances can be super expensive and when it comes to some of them, like a washer and dryer, the more expensive ones may not actually save you money (compared to a laundromat) in the long run. It is important when purchasing your own appliances to find good deals. Often the larger the appliances are, the harder it is to find good deals on them. That is why I am moderately pleased with Lowes weird Boxing Day in July sale.

You can pick these up in store (see store locator here) for free, or they must ship via truck delivery if you live within 100 kms of a Lowes. See their shipping page for more details.

Future Shop Canada: Bosch Ascenta Built In Dishwasher $600 (Save $280)

Future Shop Canada is offering $280 off the Bosch Ascenta Built-In Dishwasher. The dishwasher is now only $599.99 and Future Shop will also pay the taxes.

Depending on your province, the tax savings is an amazing extra bonus on top of the sale price.

Features:

  • With 50 dBA sound levels, it’s virtually silent and the quietest in its class
  • An ultra-efficient wash system can save you up to 280 gallons of water each year
  • Self-latching door stays put and latches on its own
  • Stainless steel tall tub cavity
  • Four wash cycles and two options
  • Delay start option lets you set the dishwasher to run at any time
  • Exceeds Energy Star water requirements by up to 89%
  • EcoSense reduces energy usage by up to 20%
  • The Half Load cycle lets you do smaller loads with less water
  • Standard racks with a 14-place setting capacity and long silverware basket

I like the reduced water requirements and the reduced energy usage for this dishwasher. The reduced noise level is also a huge bonus because our current dishwasher I can hear even with the bedroom door closed and the fan on to block out noise.

Amazon Canada: $50 off KitchenAid 7-Cup Food Processor – Now $99.99

Posted by on September 18, 2012 at 3:00 PM

Amazon Canada: $50 off KitchenAid 7 Cup Food Processor Now $99.99

Amazon Canada is offering $50 off the KitchenAid KFP0711CU 7-Cup Food Processor in either silver, black, or white. Originally $149.99, it is on sale for $99.99.

Oddly enough people have had trouble with their food processor and I can easily tell you how to avoid the mistakes they have made:

  • 1. If the blade is on firmly, do not use your bare hands to pull it out. Use some protective gloves.
  • 2. If the food processor won’t turn on it is most likely because the lid is not on properly. KitchenAid food processors come with a built in safety that if the lid is not locked on properly, it will not turn on.

We have a KitchenAid food processor and once we figured out these few simple things, it runs like a breeze.

Like this reviewer said:

I would bet that the 2 reviewers that gave this a low rating ran into the same problem that I did which was paying attention to how the lid goes on. Yes, it does matter, and if it is not on correctly, it will not turn on. The base and lid both have to be on in a specific orientation. Works great.

I would certainly try this processor out. KitchenAid makes quality appliances!

Shop.ca: Delonghi 1.7 L Cordless Jug Kettle Now $49.99 | Was $99.99

Posted by on September 13, 2012 at 1:00 PM

Shop.ca: Delonghi 1.7 L Cordless Jug Kettle Now $49.99 | Was $99.99

I OWN this kettle so I know it is completely fabulous! This price is also sweet, get 50% off a Delonghi 1.7 L Cordless Jug Kettle Now $49.99 | Was $99.99 at Shop.ca.

The reasons this kettle totally beats all previous kettles I have owned:

  1. The jug is cordless, you pull it off the base to fill, and then again to pour. Never need to unplug.
  2. It holds 1.7 L, which is more than my teapot can hold! A full pot of tea every time!
  3. It lights up! You will know if the kettle is unplugged or not on, because it lights up when powered.
  4. Fast boil. I haven’t timed my kettle, but it boils pretty darn fast!
  5. I can see how high the water is from outside the kettle, thanks to a viewing area.
  6. It is beautiful. I like beautiful appliances and my kettle is right up there with my Kitchen Aid appliances.

This kettle is sweet, and I personally deam it the best kettle I have ever owned. Have had it for over a year now, and am very very happy with it.

Besides, at $50 for a kettle and free shipping you can’t go wrong!

Dyson: $100 Off 1 of 5 High-End Vacuums

Posted by on August 19, 2012 at 1:00 PM

Dyson: $100 Off 1 of 5 High End Vacuums

Dyson lets you clean up in two ways with this vacuum deal.

The five vacuums on sale are as follows:

Dyson is an amazing company. They have managed to somehow make vacuums and other wind-based products sexy. To make it even better, they are nerds. Just look at videos like this to see how nerdy their engineers really are.

There are two full upright vacuums and three little compact ones. They all seem to be better suited for certain tasks so take a read through the links above to see which one is best for you. It seems, from all I hear, that these are some of the best vacuums you can buy. It’s the difference between a Gaggenau and a Frigidaire.

Even in their naming, they are awesome. Stowaway is obviously because it’s small and compact and can hide in a small area without being noticed, much as a stowaway on a ship. They could have called it the “Dyson Compact” or something but they gave it the much more awesome name, Stowaway. Motorhead is named like that because it has a motorized brush bar. Could have been the “Dyson FWQ6279 Motorized Brush Bar Vacuum” but they decided to give it the same name as a Heavy Metal band.

Even the Dyson Ball (the DC29 and DC25 are ball vacuums) seems likely to have been named after the Dyson Sphere which is an ultra-nerdy concept that you can read up on if you are so inclined. I’d go into teacher mode and tell you all about them but then you’d fall asleep and miss out on the cool deal.
