2x Applebees Gift Card Deals ($40 for $50, etc)

Here are a few deals for those of you who live near an Applebees restaurant and want to make a bit of a saving the next time you dine there. I’ve been browsing around, and I found a few different offers if you are buying gift cards to use on your next visit. You can save at least $10… and I am sure there are a few Mooser families who eat at that particular chain of restaurants.

Deal #1: $60 for $50 via Groupon

This is a Groupon deal and if you buy a $50 Applesbees gift card, you will get a bonus $10 gift card on top of that, making it a total of $60 to spend there. I checked the fine print on the Groupon and it states that the gift cards are valid in the US and Canada. The $50 gift card never expires but the bonus $10 expires at the end of February 2015, so you might want to make a note of the short time frame on this one. This Groupon is delivered to your email, so you can just print it out and use it.

(Expires: 1st January 2015)

Deal #2: $40 for $50 via

Even though this item is being sold on, you don’t need to worry about untrusted sellers – it’s actually being sold by PayPal digital gifts. You can get a $50 Applebees gift card for $40 there. It says US only at the top, but it’s via an email delivery and the fine print says it is good in Canada as well, so there shouldn’t be a problem:

Usable up to balance only to purchase goods or services at any Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar® in the U.S. and Canada

That’s a 20% saving on your gift card purchase! 2x Applebees Gift Card Deals ($40 for $50, etc)

(Expires: 1st January 2015)

I know that Applebees restaurants are not everyone’s cup of tea. I was asking Moose author Kristy about the popularity of Applebees as I don’t actually live near one and I’ve only eaten at Applebees once in my life. While she’s from Quebec and doesn’t have an Applebees near her, Kristy says:

They’re known as a great place for quick appetizers and a drink for happy hour in the states.

How about you? Do you like Applebees?

Applebees Canada: Free Entrees For Veterans On Remembrance Day

Applebees Canada: Free Entrees For Veterans On Remembrance Day

All veterans get free entrees at Applebees on Monday for Remembrance Day!

I don’t see much information about this deal on the Applebees website, so I just assume you can walk in as a veteran and get your free meal. I love this deal. Today I attended a Remembrance Day parade in my neighbourhood and was actually moved to tears (which is a big deal for me – I rarely cry!). In our day to day lives, we really don’t consider the sacrifice people have made for our freedoms. My grandfather was a WWII RCAF pilot, who passed many years ago, but I wish he were here so I could say thanks. My grandmother was a WAF; they actually met during the war and she emigrated to Canada, leaving behind her entire family, except the two young children she made the journey alone with. I can’t even begin to imagine the fear, the courage and the emotions behind living and fighting in a war. So, bring on the free food as a minimal gesture to say thank you to veterans young and old!

Applebees even has a section on their site which allows you to invite the veterans you know to participate in this deal. If you know anyone – your parent, neighbour or a friend, who is a vet, send them a message and tell them about this deal, even if you can’t be there to enjoy it with them.

Applebees Canada Gift Card Offer

Posted by on December 18, 2010 at 3:00 PM

Applebees Canada Gift Card Offer

If you frequently visit Applebees Canada for some tasty dishes, then there is a gift card offer that you might like to take advantage of. If you purchase a $50 gift card, you get a bonus $10 gift card for free.

You can buy this offer in-store at your local Applebees. Obviously you don’t have to give them away as gifts, you can make use of them yourself. If you regularly eat there anyway, maybe you’d be interested in buying a few $50 gift cards and nabbing a few free ones while you are there.

Some of the terms and conditions:

Limited time offer. Bonus card may not be used on day of purchase. Expires February 28, 2011. At participating Applebee’s locations only. Restrictions apply to Bonus Cards and Gift Cards. See card for details. Not available on

I’ve only eaten at Applebees once or twice, and I wasn’t really impressed at all by either the service or the food. I know it’s a good family friendly restaurant though, and many families are regular patrons.

(Ends 28th Feburary 2010)

If you are a regular Applebee’s patron, I’ve got a deal for you! If you are buying $50 worth of Applebees gift cards, they will reward you with a free additional gift card worth $10.

You can read about the deal online, but to take advantage you must buy the gift cards in-store.

The deal could be handy if you eat there a lot anyway, you’re getting free food by pre-paying. Alternatively, if you’re perhaps buying gift cards for Christmas presents, this offer could also be useful.

I’ve got 3 syllables for you – noms noms noms! For only $9.99, you can have all you can eat riblets from Applebees Canada!

As you might expect, you can’t use this offer if you are sharing meals, you’d have to pay the $9.99 fee per person. The offer is in the restaurant only, not for carry out orders.

It’s at participating Canadian restaurants, so it might be worth giving them a call to make sure the offer is available, before you leave.

Applebees Canada: Find The Best Deals & Offers!

Applebees Canada: Find The Best Deals & Offers!

You might not know, but if you sign up to the email newsletter from Applebees Canada, they send you various offers to your email inbox. Now, not every single email contains a gem of a deal, but some do contain some pretty decent offers. For example, on Mother’s Day recently, they were offering a free $5 gift card with a $25 one.

I’m posting this in case you like eating at Applebee’s. I will admit that I have only ever eaten there once. A friend took me to the restaurant one evening, I can’t even remember what I ordered – might have been pasta based. I was dying of the cold and couldn’t actually taste the food! The experience kind of put me off going back, but I guess I should give it another try.

What are your experiences of Applebees restaurants? Like? Dislike?
