(Wii U) Amazon Canada: Pre-Order Mario Party 10 For $50 (Reg. $65) + Free Shipping

(Wii U) Amazon Canada: Pre Order Mario Party 10 For $50 (Reg. $65) + Free Shipping

Here’s a cool deal for the Mario superfans: you can pre-order Mario Party 10 for Wii U for just $49.99 instead of its regular price of $64.99. It’s set to be released on December 31st 2014 and since Amazon ships most orders over $25 for free, your order will also qualify for absolutely free shipping.

When I bought my Wii U last year, the first game that I bought with it was Super Mario 3D World and boy, have I had fun with it! In fact, my hubby and I still aren’t completely done with the game as although we beat the big boss Bowser, it turns out that there are more levels that are actually quite challenging and there is even a special character you can unlock. I fully expect Mario Party 10 to be just as fun, though it’s not in the same game style as the 3D world one. Speaking of which, Amazon also currently has Super Mario 3D World on sale for $49.94 (reg. $59.99).

Mario Party 10 is actually apart of a series of Mario games by the same name, which all originated with the initial Mario Party that was released for Nintendo 64 in 1998. Since then, it has been playable on the GameCube, the Wii and now the Wii U. It’s the kind of game that you can play with friends as up to 4 players compete against one another in a series of challenges and activities. In the previous instalment of Mario Party (the 9th one), for instance, players had to bounce around on a clouds and collect the most amount of coins. I’m sure that this next instalment will feature the a very similar game play, with the added bonus of better graphics with the Wii U and the ability to use the GamePad on top of the regular Nintendo Wii remote plus.

This is definitely a must-have deal for any Mario fan or Wii U owner in general, especially those of you with kids. This game may also be played alone against computerized players. It would definitely be even better if there was a possibility to play online versus friends but perhaps one day, it will be a possibility!

We would love to hear from you! Have you played the previous Mario Party games? What did you think?

Amazon Canada: Brother Easy Handheld Labeller Only $16

Posted by on August 18, 2014 at 9:16 AM

Amazon Canada: Brother Easy Handheld Labeller Only $16

Get organized this fall with a Brother Easy handheld label maker, which is now only $15.99 at Amazon with a regular price of $39.99.

I wish they had this deal on last week when I spent $25 on a very similar label maker. This deal is going fast, so don’t wait or it might sell out before you know it. I love label makers! So far I’ve used mine to label all the drawers in the craft centre I created for my kids in the basement. My next job is to label all of the bins I have stored in the basement full of seasonal goods and clothing that is being passed down to my younger kids, plus clothing that I’m hoping to grow into myself (by losing weight). I am also excited to use it to label all of the camping bins we are putting together for a camping trip next week so that next year, everything is ready to go. Eventually, I’ll use it to label all of the crates in the garage full of tools, sports equipment and more. Once I have all of our back to school stuff put together, I can label it with the kid’s names so it doesn’t get lost or mixed up with their brother’s stuff.

This seems like a basic label maker, with pretty much everything you’d need to label your stuff. It allows you to do special keys, save up to nine labels for using over and over again and you can also pre-design labels.

There are only two reviews and one reviewer said it uses up batteries too fast, but if you use rechargeable batteries, this shouldn’t be a problem. Also, shut off the machine when not in use. I can’t imagine it would drain the batteries that fast creating one label.

Amazon offers free shipping on orders over $25, so you might want to see what other deals they have on this week and combine it with this order to get the most out of your money.

Amazon Canada: KitchenAid Rotor Slicer/Shredder Attachment Now $39.95

Posted by on August 17, 2014 at 8:30 PM

Amazon Canada: KitchenAid Rotor Slicer/Shredder Attachment Now $39.95

Amazon Canada has not had this deal for well over a year, thus I am excited to be blogging about it again. Pick up the KitchenAid RVSA Rotor Slicer/Shredder Attachment for Stand Mixers for only $39.95, originally $99.99.

Edit: As per our lovely Moosers’ comments; there is a $20 rebate from KitchenAid on this attachment from August 15 – September 26. In the end you would be paying around $20 after rebate!

I conducted a little price comparing. Sears.ca has the Rotor slicer/shredder attachment on sale for $89.99, Hudson’s Bay Canada has the rotor for $99.99, London Drugs has the rotor on sale for $84.99, and only Future Shop Canada matches Amazon’s price at $39.95. Therefore, if Amazon’s price changes suddenly, you can buy it at Future Shop instead. Given that anywhere else you are paying at least double the price for the attachment (except for Future Shop), I figured this is an awesome deal.

The rotor slicer/shredder attachment comes with four blades and the housing, which fits on your stand mixer. It also has a metal core with which you attach the blades. My husband still has not figured out how to mount the shredder properly, but it really isn’t rocket science. I use the fine shredder blade the most on cheese for pizza. I do highly recommend using firm cheeses. Moisture content matters when it comes to the quality of your shredding.

I have tried slicing cucumbers and a few other vegetables. For me, the shredder is far better than fishing out the food processor when you only need a small amount of shredding or slicing done. I originally found the blades hard to detach, but the trick is to wrap a dishtowel around your hand, stick your hand in (make a fist in the dishtowel), and then rotate backwards. Of course, you want to make sure the stand mixer is unplugged. It works every time.

My main pet peeve, like other reviewers, is the stuff that is trapped between the housing and the blade. However, like one reviewer pointed out:

Some food did get stuck between the hopper and the blade, but, to be fair, I have also had this problem with other food processors.

That is fair. I have watched my husband use the food processor and he hardly fairs any better.

While I would not pay full price for this attachment, I certainly think it is worth the $39.50 that Amazon and Future Shop are asking, especially after the $20 rebate. It is used often in my household.

Don’t have a stand mixer? Amazon Canada has this KitchenAid KSM75SL Classic Stand Mixer on sale for $199.99, down from $399.99!

Receive free shipping on orders of $25 or more at Amazon Canada now.

(Nintendo 3DS) Mario Golf: World Tour Only $24.99 @ Amazon.ca

Posted by on August 16, 2014 at 3:00 PM

(Nintendo 3DS) Mario Golf: World Tour Only $24.99 @ Amazon.ca

If you or one of the kids have a Nintendo 3DS games system, and are on the lookout for deals on video games, check out the price on Mario Golf: World Tour from Amazon.ca. Usually, $34.99, they’ve knocked ten bucks off the cost of the game, bringing it down to only $24.99 right now.

Nintendo hardly ever discount their games, it’s rare to see this kind of game on special offer. Even when I do a price comparison elsewhere, Mario Golf: World Tour is priced at $35 at all the other online major retailers, such as Walmart, Futureshop, Bestbuy, Archambault, EB Games. I think it’s a super price from Amazon.ca.

A quick blurb about the game:

Face off on traditional courses, or play through new ones with a Mushroom Kingdom twist. The Nintendo 3DS split-screen interface makes it easy to aim shots and track progress on the course, while offering players a deep golf experience with simple controls and Mario flair.

Reviews!

One of my favourite sites for checking out gaming reviews is Metacritic. They calculate a grouped score from many major online reviewers, as well as an aggregated user review score. Mario Golf: World Tour scores really fantastically on both fronts – 78% from the critics, and 81% from regular users. Nintendojo gives this Mario golf game a glowing review. Here’s a quick quote:

Mario Golf: World Tour is a solid mix of great controls, crisp, colorful visuals, great replay value due to its amount of unlockable content, and is ultimately just a flat out great experience.

Looks like a great fun game!

Shipping!

Sadly, this Nintendo 3DS video game is only $0.01 short in price to qualify for Amazon’s free super saver shipping. As you probably know, you need to spend $25+ on Amazon.ca to qualify for their free shipping. What I would obviously recommend is popping something small in to your cart to bring it over the $25 mark, saving you a few bucks on potential shipping fees.

If you really want to, throw in this pack of 24 Crayola crayons for $2.95. You can never have enough crayons! There are cheaper items on Amazon.ca though, just find something else that you are in need of.

Amazon Canada: Breville Crispy Crust Pizza Maker Only $140

Posted by on August 16, 2014 at 9:30 AM

Amazon Canada: Breville Crispy Crust Pizza Maker Only $140

Amazon has a fantastic deal on right now if you love your pizza. Get the Breville Crispy Crust pizza maker, now on for $139.99 with a regular price of $199.99.

My family loves their pizza. Even my pickiest son will eat pizza, although it can only be cheese. My husband is a pizza aficionado, although he does like to keep it simple. I love pizza; seriously, what’s not to love? However, I love gourmet and unusual ingredients. I am the one who adores anchovies and big chunks of garlic and crushed tomatoes and whatever you can throw on a pizza. This crispy crust pizza maker would make a fantastic gift for the family.

What it does

When you go to a restaurant that has brick oven baked pizza, you definitely see the difference from your regular pizza joint’s pizza. The crust is perfect and that really, truly makes a pizza. Well, Breville says you can get the same effect using this machine and you can do it at home. It doesn’t matter if your crust is thick, thin, gluten-free or made of cauliflower (well I’m not sure about that one), your pizza will bake quickly and crispily. There is even a viewing window, so your kids can fawn over how yummy the pizza is starting to look.

Who wants it

Like I said, you could get this as a Christmas gift for the family and store it in your closet. You’d be thankful four months from now when you’ve got most of your shopping done and don’t have to pay the full price. I think it would also make a great gift for a kid heading off to school, as it is just a plug-in appliance. If they are heading off to residence, they could share it with their friends in the common area and instantly make a boatload of friends, simply because they make the best pizza in the dorm.

Price comparisons

Lots of places sell the Breville Crispy Crust pizza maker like Sears, who sells it for $199.99, Williams Sonoma sells it for $222.59 and Shop.ca has it on sale for $159.99, but Amazon beats them all.

Reviews

All of the reviews on Amazon are positive and for your money spent on this, that’s what you want to hear!

Had my first pizza today from this oven and it was delicious. After an initial heating period it cranks out a pizza every 4 minutes and it does an incredible job on thin crust, home made pizza. I have used a turntable pizza oven before and was happy with the results but could not get the temperature to stay longer on high but this oven is far better as it hits 600 degrees.

Shipping

Of course, your item will ship free, as Amazon gives you free shipping on orders over $25.

Amazon Canada: KitchenAid Artisan Mixer Only $239

Posted by on August 15, 2014 at 9:30 AM

Amazon Canada: KitchenAid Artisan Mixer Only $239

Amazon has dropped the price on their KitchenAid Artisan five quart stand mixer. Some colours are only $289.99 and the other colours have varying prices, but are also discounted. On top of this, KitchenAid has a mail-in rebate promotion going on for a number of their appliances, but on this particular model you’ll get $50 back, making the price only $239, which is quite sweet!

I’ve been really wanting one of these stand mixers for my loves-to-bake husband. On a whim, he’ll whip up a batch of cookies, muffins, cupcakes, a cake, or whatever and while I love him for it, my thighs don’t like him as much. Either way, I’d love to reward his love of baking and get him something he’ll really appreciate. This might be perfect gift to save for him for Christmas as well. While everything I bake turns to dough, I wonder if this appliance would help me be better at baking. I even made a boxed cake mix where you only add water and it didn’t turn out. How does this happen? I think I may have over-whipped it and a stand mixer would take this step right out of my hands.

While both the black and the white are ultra-slick and at the $289 price point, I really love that you can accent your kitchen with a kitchen appliance like this. I have the Artisan food processor in red, and it looks amazing on my counter, so it would be nice to match them up. The red is also $289 and so is the very hot metallic chrome. Decisions, decisions!

Depending on the colour you want, this item may sell out fast, so don’t hum and haw over this and come back tonight hoping to get the colour you want. For example, the watermelon, while the most expensive at $403.56 only has six left in stock.

Amazon will ship this item to you for free as well. I’m not sure when this deal will end, but the mail in rebate deal ends in September, so you have quite a bit of time to get your forms in.

Amazon Canada: $70 Off Star Wars The Complete Saga Episodes I-VI Blu-Ray Box Set

Posted by on August 14, 2014 at 10:00 PM

Amazon Canada: $70 Off Star Wars The Complete Saga Episodes I VI Blu Ray Box SetMay the force be with you as you take advantage of an awesome deal on a Star Wars box set. For a limited time, you can save $70 on the Star Wars: The Complete Saga (episodes I-VI) box set in Blu-ray and get it for just $89.99 (reg. $159.99). It comes up to 44% off the original price.

Even better is that this is a Blu-Ray version. Even though technology has widely moved onto Blu-Ray, DVDs are usually the ones being discounted, so it’s nice to see a deal on one of the most popular franchises in the world. When it comes to DVDs or Blu-Rays, I definitely only ever choose Blu-Rays, especially for high action and popular movies.

With a total of nine discs, six of the discs in this box set are:

  • Episode 1: The Phantom Menace
  • Episode 2: Attack of the Clones
  • Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith
  • Episode 4: A New Hope
  • Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back
  • Episode 6: Return of the Jedi

The other three discs features extra and deleted scenes:

  • Star War Archives: episodes 1-3
  • Star Wars Archies: episode 4-6
  • The Star Wars Documentaries

This Blu-Ray had actually been very much anticipated, and has over 150 reviews with a total consensus of 4.4 stars out of 5. Here’s what one reviewer had to say about it:

Star Wars on Blu-ray…it took a lot less time than Star Wars on DVD! And in special features and deleted scenes alone, it was well worth the wait. You can’t do a box set like this without the bonus of unseen footage. The good news is, The Complete Saga is loaded with unseen special features and deleted scenes. In fact, the Tosche Station scene is worth the purchase alone. It’s that great.

I have to admit that even though I’m not the biggest Star Wars fan, I can certainly appreciate a good deal when I see one. However, Star Wars fans should keep in mind the following review:

The original trilogy (without any 1997 added special effects, that is) isn’t there (that was to be expected), but also, the special features of Episodes 4, 5 and 6 (the documentaries, interviews, trailers, etc.) isn’t here anymore. Episodes 1, 2 and 3′s second discs are nowhere to be found either.

Plus, since Amazon typically ships orders over $25 for free, you’re also sure not to pay any added shipping fees.

Fuji Instax 210 Instant Camera $59.99 & Free Shipping @ Amazon.ca

Fuji Instax 210 Instant Camera $59.99 & Free Shipping @ Amazon.ca

You probably have to be quick if you want to take advantage of this offer on Amazon.ca, it could sell out at any time. They are selling the Fuji Instax 210 Instant Camera at a $40 discount, now only $59.99 with free super saver shipping!

The original price of this camera was $99.99, it’s now $59.99 – that’s a great price.

You may think that from the photo above, it’s a pretty weird looking camera. Well, that’s what I thought! I actually thought it was a digital camera at first… but nope, it’s an instant!

Here’s a quick note about the Fuji camera:

With its automatically-adjusting flash, high-resolution retracting lens and a big, clear viewfinder, the Fujifilm Instax 210 captures and delivers vivid, high-quality prints in an instant. The compatible Instax Instant Color Film is professional grade and provides superior performance.

Obviously over the long-term, the film for this camera is going to be quite an expense… but if you really would like the “novelty” of taking a photo and seeing it printed out instantly, then it’s worth it for this price.

Price comparison wise, this is a superb price on Amazon. Most other Canadian online sites are offering this camera for around $100. I did find it for a similar price at MemoryExpress but shipping was a further $9, or more depending on where you live. As Amazon has free shipping, it’s the superior deal.

Amazon Canada: $15 Off PS4 DualShock 4 Controller – Now $50 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on August 10, 2014 at 4:00 PM

Amazon Canada: $15 Off PS4 DualShock 4 Controller Now $50 (EXPIRED)Need an extra PS4 remote? Amazon has the DualShock 4 controller on sale for just $49.99 (reg. $64.99).

It seems that when you need or want something, there are never any deals around, but as soon as you buy it at full price is when the discounts begin pouring in! Since I only recently bought the PlayStation 4, I also bought an extra remote at Costco, but since there were no deals to be had at that moment and hubby and I were excited to play the Lego Marvel Super Heroes game together, we bought it at its full price of $59.99. Speaking of which, it’s always at that price at Costco, but it’s currently sold out online. The Source has this remote for $64.99, while Future Shop and Best Buy have it for $65.89.

Amazon’s price reduction is definitely the best one all around and I doubt it will go down any lower than that any time soon. Even if you don’t have a PS4 yet, if are planning on buying one soon, then it might be a good idea to take advantage of this deal, especially since you won’t have to worry about any pesky shipping fees as Amazon ships orders over $25 for free.

Filled with AR Bots, which come to life in the PlayRoom, the PS4 remote differs greatly from its PS3 ancestor. On top of being easier and more comfortable to hold, it also features a built-in speaker in an effort to enhance video game-play. In fact, my hubby was playing InFamous: Second Son the other day with hardly any volume on the TV because our baby was sleeping in the same room, when all of a sudden, the remote emitted a loud swooshing noise. Luckily, it didn’t wake up the little one, but it’s still a neat feature to have — assuming there are no sleeping children in the same room!

In fact, the PS4 remote has been extremely well-received by the gaming community, with countless positive reviews like this one:

I received my DualShock 4 and immediately plugged it into my ps3 and my pc. It just feels great to use and makes me feel like Sony really did listen to fans when it comes to the new PlayStation.

Unfortunately the touch pad is just that: a touch pad, but it’s still a neat feature to have as you can use it to swipe and trigger specific features, depending on the game you’re playing. In the case of the AR Bots, you can use the touch pad to control them as you can see in Ali-A Youtube video, but keep in mind that the PlayStation 4 Eye Camera is needed for this and it’s sold separately.

Have you bought the PlayStation 4 yet? What do you think of the new remote?

Amazon Canada: 75% Off Emmy-Nominated Shows

Amazon Canada: 75% Off Emmy Nominated Shows

With summer soon coming to a close, you may wonder what you’ll be watching in the fall. I’m not a traditional TV watcher. I like to find shows that are known to be good and then watch a whole season in a week. If you are like me, you might want to check out this sale from Amazon, offering up to 73% off Emmy-nominated shows.

Nurse Jackie is a show I have watched and loved. It is about a drug-addicted nurse who manages to mostly keep it together despite challenge after challenge. It sounds dark, but it is actually quite funny. All of the seasons are represented in this sale starting from season 1 for $9.97 (regularly $26.99) up to season 5, which is $9.49 (was $29.97). It looks like a new season will be starting in 2015. I need to get caught up!

Mad Men is a show that I’ve heard about repeatedly, but have yet to watch. I can start with season 1 during this Amazon sale for only $9.88, with a regular price of $26.99. For those who may have already watched the show, you might want to get season 6 for your collection, and it is now only $12.49, was $46.99. What a steal!

Have you delved into the world of Girls yet? This is a phenomenal show that will have you laughing, crying and shouting at the TV. While I love Hannah, who is played by the incredibly talented Lena Dunham, I cannot stand two of the other main characters. I love Shoshanna and her quirky ways, but the other two are just way too spoiled for my liking on my television. Either way, it makes a great mix to watch on a Saturday night with all your girlfriends, especially because of some of the eye candy in the way of men. This show is a sort of Sex and the City of this decade. Season one will only cost you $18.49, with a regular price of $49.98.

As always, shipping will be free on a $25 order, so you might want to stock up on a few shows or a few seasons and save on that annoying fee.

Amazon Canada: $70 Off KidKraft Uptown Kitchen – Now $150 (Was $220)

Posted by on August 7, 2014 at 10:30 PM

Amazon Canada: $70 Off KidKraft Uptown Kitchen Now $150 (Was $220)

Amazon has a fantastic deal on the KidKraft uptown kitchen in an espresso colour. Originally priced at $219.99, it’s now on sale for just $149.99, which is a 30% discount.

Designed for kids aged three years and up, this is the perfect play-kitchen as it’s made of composite wood and features all of the basic kitchen appliances like a fridge, freezer, micro-wave, and it even has a dishwasher! Plus, all of these have doors that open and close. What I love about this kitchen set the most is that it’s very modern-looking and would certainly look good if placed in an adult kitchen. The fridge even features a chalkboard freezer, which you could use to list the weekly chores for your child. It could also be used as a recipe board for the week or just to draw on! Although previous sets would have included corded phones, this one even has a cordless one to complete the redesigned modern look!

Don’t be fooled by the picture of the girl either as this kitchen can most certainly be used universally by both girls and boys, even at once for those of you with multiple children.

According to the numerous positive reviews, assembly takes some time and it’s best to follow the instructions, but once it’s assembled, then it’s a major hit! In fact, here’s what one reviewer had to say about it:

The kitchen has been a real hit with the kids and it’s amazing when it’s all setup how ‘real’ it looks. It’s very sturdy the littlest one has really put the doors through the test and they have stood up to his slamming, reefing and tugging very well.

It als comes with a 90-day manufacturer guarantee in case of any production defects.

This is definitely the cheapest price you can expect to find this kitchen for as it’s $229.99 at Toys R Us and although it’s currently sold out at Walmart, it was priced at $170.99. If only adult kitchens were that cheap!

Even better is that you can get it shipped absolutely free with Amazon’s Super Saver shipping option. The shipping weight of this kitchen is actually 36kg and that’s definitely not a box I would want to pick up and have to bring home from the store! Better have it shipped straight to your door.

Amazon Canada: 30% Off Genji Sports Pop Up Family Beach Tent – Now $52

Posted by on August 5, 2014 at 6:00 PM

Amazon Canada: 30% Off Genji Sports Pop Up Family Beach Tent Now $52Amazon has a great deal on the Genji Sports pop up family beach tent and beach sunshelter. Get it for just $51.80, which is 30% off its original price of $74.

My baby is already three months and although summer is coming to an end, I have been wanting to relax in the yard with her but still have her shielded from the sun. The Genji sports pop up family beach tent is definitely a great compromise as although it’s not a full blown tent, it’s also an adult version of the many similar kids’ tents. Canadian Tire has the cool-looking Broadstone pop-up sun shelter but it’s more expensive at $69.99.

According to the description, it’s “self expanded in one second, folds down in 3 seconds” but judging by the couple of reviews, the first couple of times you fold/ unfold it may be challenging but I’m sure that once the technique has been mastered, then it’s a piece of cake from there. In fact, here’s what on reviewer had to say about it:

Really great size and functional. Perfect for older kids to change in and warm up. Great for babies to keep them out of the wind and sun. The first couple times folding it down was confusing but it’s easy now and super portable in he provided bag.

Large enough for 2 adults, 1 adult with kids or simply numerous kids, what’s great is that it can also be planted into the ground, which is a definite plus for those extra windy days. In either case, you wouldn’t want your child moving it anyway. Even better is that the canopy is also UV protected, though I would still apply sunscreen on my baby just in case. As with any other tent, this one also comes with a carrying case that has a shoulder strap to help keep your hands free to carry anything else you might need. This is definitely a great tent for the beach, as the picture shows, but I could see it being more versatile than that like for use in the backyard, camping, etc.

You also won’t have to worry about any additional fees as this tent qualifies for free shipping since Amazon ships most orders over $25 for free.

Amazon Canada: 30% Off Melissa & Doug Art Supplies

Posted by on August 4, 2014 at 7:30 PM

Amazon Canada: 30% Off Melissa & Doug Art Supplies

If you are looking for back to school supplies or for some art supplies for your child, then you’ve come to the right place. I absolutely love Melissa and Doug art supplies and Amazon has them on for 30% off.

I can’t count the number of art items I have from the brand Melissa and Doug. I love the uniqueness of their sets and find everything really high quality. I find new art supplies is a great way to get kids excited about having to go back to school. I’m also looking for fun kits as things for my kids to do when they are camping or at the cottage. I like to have my quiet time reading while they have their quiet time making art.

Remember paint by number? How about the less messy sticker by number? Get the Melissa and Doug Peel and Press Sticker by Number flower garden fairy for only $7.36, with a regular price of $9.99.

While the sale says 30% off, some items are even more than that off the regular price. This Melissa and Doug portable light box is really cool, and looks perfect for using while on a road trip. It has a little portable desk, that fits perfectly in your child’s lap. It was $19.99, now $11.71.

If you are looking for something to do at a princess or other little girl party, you can’t beat paying only $3.99 for them to make this princess doll and take it home as a favour. It is an all-in-one kit, so you really just hand it to them and let them work their own magic. It has a regular price of $8.99, but paying the $4 price is perfect for 10 kids at a party.

My boys have done a Melissa and Doug paintable figurine and this dinosaur figurine kit is one they’d love to do. I like these because they are cute to display on a shelf after all their hard work is done. I don’t find ours ever looks like the picture on the box, but I love letting my kids be creative, messy and have fun when doing art, rather than be perfect. This item was $10.99, now only $6.39.

Shipping is free from Amazon once you’ve spent over $25 and since these items are all less than that, you’ll want to get a few to help save those costs. Twisting your rubber arm, aren’t I?

They mostly come out at night, mostly… good deals that is, not aliens! Amazon has discounted the Alien – Predator Total Destruction Collection down to just $21.49. It was originally priced at $79.98, so that puts it at a 73% discount!

Even though it was released in 2008, this collection is definitely a must-have for any of you sci-fi and action movie lovers, especially since it includes the following 8 discs:

  • Alien
  • Aliens (long version)
  • Alien 3
  • Alien Resurrection
  • Predator
  • Predator II
  • Alien vs. Predator (unrated)
  • Alien vs. Predator 2: Requiem (unrated)

It also features a number of happy reviews like this one:

This collection is a great deal and is completely worth it, all 8 discs are instant classics and any collector who loves older and newer movies will love it. It was very addictive and I couldn’t stop watching it. The discs were in great condition and the definition was great. This franchise was one of the greatest ever written and this collection really captured its amazing story-line. I 100% recommend this pack to any classic movie lover.

This is also a great deal for all of you French-speaking Canadian as the collection is bilingual. In fact, did you know that the movie Prometheus, which came out in 2012, is actually a prequel to the Alien franchise? I actually had no idea but discovered this little fact by looking up the movies. Prometheus is currently on sale as well. You can DVD and Blu-Ray versions for as low as $7. Plus, if you’re willing to shell out a little more, the Prometheus to Alien: The Evolution collection is on sale for $59.99 (reg. $215.69).

The only hitch is that you will be missing just a couple of dollars to have this collection shipped for free as Amazon only ships orders over $25 for free, so be sure to check out the deals section for more products to save on. In fact, there are a number of DVDs for $6.99 or less like Inception for just $3.94 (reg. $18.70). For those of you with kids, I suggest you sort those movies by cheapest first and then check out the first couple of pages as there are a number of kids’ movies for less than $5. For example, both Barbie: The Princess and the Pauper and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs are $3.94 (reg. $9.99).

(PS4 & Xbox One) Pre Order Batman: Arkham Knight For Just $57 + Free Shipping @ Amazon.ca

The dawn is coming and luckily, you can save a couple of bucks before it does. Batman: Arkham Knight is coming out in 2015 and for a limited time, you can pre-order it for just $56.99 at Amazon for either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Its regular retail price is of $69.99, which put this deal at a 19% discount. Plus, since Amazon offers free shipping to most orders over $25, you are also sure to get your game shipped at no additional cost!

One of the trendiest quotes in the online community right now is: “Always be yourself! Unless you can be Batman, then always be Batman”. I couldn’t agree with it more, and what better way to be Batman than by playing this iconic character on either PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One?

Keep in mind that although Amazon is displaying an October 2014 release for this game, this is inaccurate. Rocksteady’s marketing game manager recently released a statement saying that the release date has been pushed back to 2015, though he hasn’t specified when exactly, due to the fact that they want to make sure that the game is absolutely perfect. In fact, his exact words were: “we just want to make this the best experience that we can, and that takes time”, as published on Gamespot. Definitely can’t argue with that, though I’m sure all of you Batman fans are eagerly awaiting its release!

Given that the last Batman to be released on PlayStation, Batman: Arkham City, was a major success, I have no doubts that the upcoming one will be just as awesome, especially since it will be tailored to the new video game consoles. I haven’t tried Xbox One yet but I have recently invested in a PlayStation 4 and I must say that it is all it’s cracked up to be. The graphics are absolutely phenomenal and I’m definitely looking forward to giving the new Batman a whirl, simply to see the level of details that will be injected into the game. In fact, here’s a review I found on Arkham City on Amazon:

This game is by far the best game I have ever played I definitely recommend this game if you are a batman fan!!!

Have you played any of the previous Batman games? What are your thoughts on them?
