Amazon Canada: 20% Off PS4 & XBox One Games TODAY (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 11, 2014 at 12:15 PM

Amazon Canada: 20% Off PS4 & XBox One Games TODAY (EXPIRED)New games are on so many wish lists this year. If you missed on on the last sale Amazon had on new console games, then take advantage of their new 20% off deal when you purchase two or more select Ps4 and Xbox One games. This offer ends tonight!

This offer should work on all the games through the above link as the link directly connects to the promotion. The offer is only valid on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Only games sold directly from Amazon (not secondary sellers) are eligible for the promotion. You will not see the discount in your cart, but it will be shown on your order total before you complete checkout. See below as an example:

Amazon Canada: 20% Off PS4 & XBox One Games TODAY (EXPIRED)

You can order more than two games, but you must order a minimum of two for the promotion to work.

As console games are terribly expensive, you can understand why this promotion is so lucrative. In my demo cart I used Little Big Planet 3 – PlayStation 4 Day One Edition at $69.95 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection – Xbox One at $69. However, there are many other popular games you can choose from in this offer.

A few titles sparked my interest. The Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor – Xbox One looks really cool. I really love the Lord of the Rings and The hobbit movies so anything set in that world really perks my interest. In addition, one reviewer said that:

The nemesis system really give a different personality to each of your enemy, so you don’t feel like you are bashing through generic enemy without personality. Each time you face an Uruk, he will remember what you did and it will impact on it’s motivation and personality. Each enemy is unique and you will never meet him again in another game neither will you hear the same line of dialogue

That sounds pretty awesome. I have played quite a few games and repeat dialogue and ‘bashing through enemies’ gets pretty boring after a while I LOVE the sound of that system.

I also think that Just Dance 2015 – PS4 Standard Edition looks pretty cool as well but it is getting mixed reviews. Evidently, Ubisoft is really pushing their downloadable content. I think dance games are a lot of fun (hello dance-dance revolution, which I SUCK at!).

Mega Bloks Halo UNSC Pelican Gunship Was $100 Now $50 @ Amazon & Free Shipping! (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 11, 2014 at 8:23 AM

Mega Bloks Halo UNSC Pelican Gunship Was $100 Now $50 @ Amazon & Free Shipping! (EXPIRED)

If you’re still on the lookout for some toys for kids for Christmas, perhaps your own kids or nieces, nephews, friends of the family, there’s a great price on this Mega Bloks set on Amazon today. You can pick up the Mega Bloks Halo UNSC Pelican Gunship, Lights and Sounds at a discount – it was $99.99 and it is now only $50 with free shipping.

Eva noticed here in this post another great Mega Bloks deal, check it out too. This Mega Bloks Halo UNSC Pelican Gunship, Lights and Sounds comes with 1161 pieces (!) and it says it is for children of aged 8 and upwards. It also looks like quite a complicated set with a ton of accessories, such as:

UNSC Troops: Spartan in Operator covert ops, Spartan in Pathfinder covert ops, Spartan in Scout silver. Weapons: Shotgun, DMR, M6D Pistol x2, Binary Rifle, Frag Grenade x2, M6C Socom x2

We’re usually LEGO lovers in this house, have been for a while now. But did you know that Mega Bloks are compatible with LEGO bricks? A while ago, my sister sold me a large batch of her LEGO. I expressed concerns that I didn’t want any fakes, as I’d heard about difficulties putting bricks together when LEGO fake bricks were involved. She assured me they were all legitimately bought LEGO. But when I opened it up, I looked in depth and I showed her the tiny Mega Bloks logos on many of the bricks. It turns out she’d bought a few Mega Bloks set and just mixed them in with the LEGOs, completely unknowingly.

As for a price comparison on this Halo Mega Bloks set, I’ve spotted it for $100 at both Best Buy and Future Shop. It also shows as $110 @ The Mega Bloks official site. I can’t find this exact set for sale at any of the other major toy retailers, just the previously mentioned stores. Anyway, the price from Amazon is pretty damn great, especially with free shipping. There are some reviews on the Mega Bloks site, such as:

Cool, but I wish that there was a marine. The lights and sounds were a nice addition. Overall, an awesome set.

So what about you? Mega Bloks or LEGO?

Amazon Canada: Mega Bloks Jeep Ride-On Was $55 | Now $20 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 11, 2014 at 8:10 AM

Amazon Canada: Mega Bloks Jeep Ride On Was $55 | Now $20 (EXPIRED)

Amazon has some great deals on today on Mega Bloks and one notable one that I found is on the Mega Bloks Jeep ride-on, that was $52.35, now $20.94.

Regularly $52.35 and now on sale for only $20.94, it sells for $50 at Toys R Us. I like that this is a 2-in-1 toy, great for toddlers. I had something similar to this when my kids were tods, and they loved it. Kids just love being able to put something in the seats of things!

There are great reviews on this toy like this one:

Got it for our grandson who turned 2. As soon as he found the buttons and the different sounds each button, a big smile on his face and he was out riding it all over. Surely will be his favorite toy for a long time!

Looks like it is a great gift from a grandparent. Since shipping is free on $25, I decided to scour the rest of Amazon’s site for more deals to get myself free shipping. I found a few other hot Mega Bloks deals. By the way, you definitely still have time to order before Christmas. I ordered something yesterday and the expected delivery date is tomorrow. I love that!

Another hot deal from Mega Bloks on Amazon is on the Build and Learn ABC spell. Regularly $13.43, it is on sale for only $5.37. This set is seriously cute and it is already in my cart. That is a perk of my deal-hunting job – I can get them before I get to tell anyone. My youngest son is in kindergarten and learning to spell and he loves Lego and building toys and for this very low price, I could not resist getting this.

There are varying reviews, but to me, what you see is what you get. One reviewer complained that there were too many single blocks, but that’s how you get the letters, so I’m not sure what else you’d expect. Toys R Us has this set on sale for $12, so Amazon’s price is really the best.

Halo Mega Bloks are also on sale at greatly reduced prices and this sale is worth checking out.

2 Anti-magnetic & Anti-static Tweezers for 77¢ & Free Shipping @ *HOT* (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 10, 2014 at 2:22 PM

2 Anti magnetic & Anti static Tweezers for 77¢ & Free Shipping @ *HOT* (EXPIRED)

You read that right my lovely Moosers, pick up a set (two) anti-magnetic and anti-static tweezers for just $0.77 (originally $5.99) with free shipping! This offer is through a secondary seller on Amazon but the seller has good reviews so I felt it worth posting.

What I really like about this deal (besides the price) is that the set includes one curved pair of tweezers and one straight pair of tweezers. When I was recently taking apart and then putting back together our PS3, I would have ransomed a couple useless screwdrivers for a pair of curved tweezers. Some of those screws were in awkward places and if you accidentally dropped the screw in sideways, then it was a nightmare to fish it out again.

The tip of the curved tweezers angles at 45 degrees, thus it is perfect for picking up small things. Use them for art projects or fixing items with small parts like watches and clocks. The regular tweezers will be as functional as your usual set of tweezers. Ours always seem to go missing so I really should buy another pair.

For 77¢ and free shipping, you really cannot go wrong with this deal. Even if they were poor quality, you are out less than a dollar. However, the reviews on these tweezers are positive. Check out these comments:

Do not be fooled, these may be low cost but are a great product, high quality, but just give yourself time to receive the product!

These are really great tweezers! Inexpensive and good quality product. They are very precise.
Nothing more to say!

Another seller has them for one-cent less but has absolutely no reviews. I am always cautious to buy from a seller with no reviews so I went with this bundle from a reputable seller with good reviews. It sounds like it may take a while for you to receive your product, so just stick your order form away in a folder somewhere and do not worry about it for a month or so. I assume these are coming in from overseas.

Doctor Who 10th Sonic Screwdriver Just $25 @ Amazon Canada *HOT* (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 10, 2014 at 1:18 PM

Doctor Who 10th Sonic Screwdriver Just $25 @ Amazon Canada *HOT* (EXPIRED)

Hello geek toys! These are the toys we buy for ourselves or we buy for our friends and partners but they are not really the toys we buy for our kids. Amazon Canada has a lightning deal on for the Doctor Who 10th Sonic Screwdriver from Underground Toys. Regularly priced at $34.40, this awesome little toy is on sale for $24.99.

This deal is so hot, it is 76% sold out already. You will want to head over to Amazon quickly to pick up your own copy of the 10th Doctor’s screwdriver. I price compared with equal quality screw drivers but they are surprisingly hard to find. I found one at Toys R Us for $34.99 and this appears to be the general retail value unless you get something really cheap from a foreign country.

This screwdriver features a large green light and a faithful replica of the Doctor’s trusty sonic screw driver from the Dr Who TV series. The screwdriver has a spring loaded extending action. You can press a button on the handle’s side to activate the LED and the sound FX. All of that operates when the screwdriver is closed. If you flip open the cap at the end of the device, there is an an extra button that turns on the light and sound effects when the screwdriver is open and fully extended.

The reviews on the screwdriver are rather mixed. It seems to be best as a display piece as it looks really nice but the durability leaves something to be desired. As this reviewer said:

Ok, so the quality is not GREAT. But what do you want at this price point? There are all-metal “real” versions of the Doctor’s screwdrivers available elsewhere online, but expect to pay an appropriate amount for them. I got exactly what I expected, although admittedly the UV pen works a little better than I would have thought, even though I’ll never use it. We’ve put it in our Whovian display case with some of our other collectibles, and it filled the space beautifully.

I think the reviewer has a point. If you want a sweet little gift for your little Whovian friend or yourself, this is a nice deal.

Receive free shipping on orders of $25 or more. In my cart, it was ignoring the one-cent difference and giving me free shipping on this item alone.

Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Rechargeable Sonic Toothbrush @ Was $230 Now $138 & Free Shipping! (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 9, 2014 at 4:09 PM

Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Rechargeable Sonic Toothbrush @ Was $230 Now $138 & Free Shipping! (EXPIRED)

Today at Amazon Canada, you can get the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Rechargeable Sonic Toothbrush at 40% off, a saving of $92! Plus shipping is free on this item! Originally $229, if you act fast you can get it now for only $137.99.

If you’re looking for a new electric toothbrush or to upgrade your manual toothbrush for a better dentist clean, you won’t need to look further than the Philips Sonicare DiamonClean Rechargeable Sonic Toothbrush. I don’t know about you, but I was skeptical about switching from a manual toothbrush to an electric. Is it really worth the extra plug in the bathroom? I switched about 6 months ago and there is a huge difference in how clean and fresh my mouth feels after brushing. My dentist would be proud, and the husband is happy for less morning breath!

This toothbrush comes with some high praises on Amazon Canada and is top of the lists including:

  • #3 in Health & Personal Care
  • #1 in Home & Kitchen > Bath
  • #2 in Health & Personal Care > Personal Care > Oral Hygiene > Power Toothbrushes

The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Rechargeable Sonic Toothbrush can also clean with 31,000 brush strokes per minute! I don’t know about how fast you can brush, but I sure can’t brush that fast! It also helps to remove coffee, tea, tobacco and red wine stains and I’m not sure I’ve met many adults who don’t indulge in at least one thing from that list. It features 5 different modes that can help target your specific health issues including a mode for sensitive teeth, for whitening, targeted gum care, polishing and a timer mode.

Also skip the awkward charging base, this tooth brush charges while sitting in its own glass sitting on a base and the glass can be used for mouth rinsing also. If you’re forgetful like me don’t worry – this toothbrush battery lasts up to 3 weeks with regular use without charging. Lastly, it features a USB charger, so it’s a great option for the traveler for easy recharging on the go.

Price Comparison:

  • $179.99 @ Futureshop Canada
  • $179.99 @ Costco Canada
  • $199.99 @ Newegg Canada
  • $199.99 @ London Drugs
  • $229.99 @ Bed Bath and Beyond Canada
  • $229.99 @

You can see that this is a great price from Amazon, coming in WELL below the next best prices of $180 from FutureShop and Costco.

Victorinox Swiss Army Huntsman Knife – $34 (Was $56) @

Posted by on December 9, 2014 at 2:30 PM

Victorinox Swiss Army Huntsman Knife $34 (Was $56) @

Amazon Canada has the practical Victorinox Swiss Army Huntsman Pocket Knife on sale for just $34.09. The knife retails for $56 regularly, so this is a very nice discount and it makes a great gift.

Upon price comparison, I was assured that this is a great price for this traditional pocket knife from Victorinox. While you do not find these knives many places online in Canada, Staples sells them for $56. I also found this knife on sale for $37.96 at Walmart Canada but it is out of stock, which is one of the reasons I am convinced this is a great deal. If the knife sells out at nearly $4 higher, then this deal from Amazon should be even hotter. This is truly the cheapest I have seen this knife.

I grew up in a family that carried pocketknives and they still do. Need to open a bag of Spitz while on the road? Use your pocket knife. Found a loose screw that needs tightening? Use your pocket knife.

The Huntsman is a Swiss Army standard and includes the following pieces: large blade, small blade, can opener, bottle opener, wire stripper, reamer with sewing eye, scissors, corkscrew, toothpick, hook, tweezers, small and large screwdrivers, and a wood saw. It is necessary for hunters, campers, or anyone who spends a good amount of time in the great outdoors. They are also very useful around the house as well.

The lifetime warranty is my favourite thing about Swiss Army. If one of the blades breaks, they will either fix your knife or replace it no matter how old your knife is at that point. That is a warranty that would keep me as a customer.

If this knife is not your style, then check out these other ones also on sale. The Victorinox Swiss Army 54184 Classic Knife, 58mm, Pink/Camo is a fantastic purchase at only $16.51, originally $28. This would be a great little stocking-stuffer as it is small yet a sweet little tool and a great colour combination as well.

For those needing a slightly different configuration than the Huntsman, say a corkscrew for all those wine bottles you are opening this season, the black version of the Victorinox Swiss Army Climber Pocket Knife is also on sale from $49 down to $30.14.

Receive free shipping on orders of $25 or more.

Mission: Impossible – The Complete Television Collection Gift Set $110 @

Posted by on December 8, 2014 at 12:51 PM

Mission: Impossible The Complete Television Collection Gift Set $110 @

Mission: Impossible – The Complete Television Collection Gift Set is on sale at Amazon Canada for just $109.99 right now, with a retail price of $374.99.

If you are thinking Tom Cruise, then you have the wrong series. Mission Impossible was a TV series on for seven seasons with awesome gadgets, incredible spy work, and edge of your seat timing that made for an incredible series. The plots were intricate, requiring you to follow along and try to work out what was going on and who did what. The TV Mission Impossible really had the depth that Tom Cruise’s action flick movies did not.

This may be an older series, but I find that most of the best television shows are. They never showed Mission: Impossible on the channels we had, but it was airing around the time that Avengers and Get Smart were on televison. As this reviewer says:

This is a good series the original everything before most or some of these watered down series and the movie. I can remember watching re runs of this series and I’m glad it’s available now on DVD in a collection set. Just the starting of the theme song is awesome. If you have never seen this original series give it a try, even watching it now today it doesn’t seem old a lot of things gets better with age and for a show that started in 1966 it sure can give some of these series today a run for their money.

There are seven seasons in this box set, so you are getting each season for approximately $15.70. Then you have the really cool packaging that looks like movie reels inside a very fat stick of dynamite. I think this is one of the coolest packages I have seen lately but I am biased because I love mystery. In total, you will get 56 disks of television gold, which equals countless hours of entertainment.

I price compared this set with the few other places I could find it. Walmart Canada is selling the same TV gift set of Mission: Impossible for $260.58. Individual seasons start at $17 and go up to $34 each at places like Best Buy and Future Shop. Thus, purchasing this box set is the best deal you can get.

Receive free shipping on orders of $25 or more.

Amazon Canada: SodaStream Genesis Starter Kit Was $100 Now Only $60 (EXPIRED)

Amazon Canada: SodaStream Genesis Starter Kit Was $100 Now Only $60 (EXPIRED)

BUMP – back in stock for Cyber Week deals @ Amazon! Get the SodaStream Genesis-Titan in silver with mini cylinder starter kit for only $59.99 at Amazon as a Black Friday lightning deal right now. This regularly sells for $99.99, so you are saving $40.

I have been going back and forth with getting this is a gift for my family. They are bubble lovers and my oldest really is a pop addict. We don’t let him have too much, but when he does he savours it. I can tell the teenage years are going to be full of pop and chips for that kid when I’m not looking.

My husband also loves a good soda and he would be very happy to get this as a gift. I think it sort of fun to make your own pop and I remember as a kid we had something sort of similar.

Yesterday while looking at Hudson Bay’s KitchenAid sale, I realized that they now make a SodaStream-like device, that is actually powered by SodaStream. It is gorgeous! But it is wayyyy more money than this device here.

This is the first time I’ve seen the price for this unit be this low, which makes it a great time to buy if you’ve been humming and hawing about getting one. My friend has one and we had a lot of fun mixing up our own concoctions for soft drinks at her house one day. This is also great if you love to have a few rum and cokes in the evening, as it takes only 30 seconds to get your cola all bubbly. My friend uses it for the soda water mostly.

Price comparing, every store out there has it for the $100 price. Stores like, Staples and SodaStream’s store all have it for regular price.

There are no reviews on Amazon, but I found one on

I have been using the sodastream system for a while now, and have found it to be quite good for a daily soda drinker. Having fresh fizzy soda water on hand at any moment is great.

It is excellent for mixed beverages(in lieu of soda water), flavoured beverages using syrups, italian sodas etc

Shipping will also be free for this item. Since this is a Lightning deal, it could go quickly, although I’m going to hazard, it will be here for at least a few hours.

25% Off Select Lego Sets @ Amazon: Movie Melting Room, Ninjago Battle for City & More!

Posted by on December 7, 2014 at 6:45 AM

If you are on the lookout for Lego bargains perhaps for Christmas gifts for little ones, check out these deals which I’ve just found on Amazon Canada. They have reduced a range of Lego sets by 25% off their original prices.

I am listing below the 5 items that I have found which are all discounted by the aforementioned 25%. Amazon do sell many more Lego items, but these 5 are particular bargains. Read on and see why!

25% Off Select Lego Sets @ Amazon: Movie Melting Room, Ninjago Battle for City & More!

LEGO Movie Melting Room was $15.99 now $11.99 – I’ve compared this set elsewhere, and Amazon definitely has the best price I can find. Most other stores, such as Mastermind Toys and Best Buy have this set for $16.

25% Off Select Lego Sets @ Amazon: Movie Melting Room, Ninjago Battle for City & More!

LEGO Ninjago Battle for City was $139.99 now $111.99 – This LEGO set is $140 from Lego themselves, and the same at Best Buy and Future Shop. So, you’re saving nearly $30 on the regular price on this one. It looks fantastic! I’d love to get this set myself… well, for my daughter *cough.*

25% Off Select Lego Sets @ Amazon: Movie Melting Room, Ninjago Battle for City & More!

LEGO Ultra Agents Hurricane Heist was $89.99 now $67.49 – Elsewhere, this particular Lego set is $90 @ Lego, Toys R Us, Best Buy, Future Shop and Mastermind Toys, all the usual suspects. Super price from Amazon!

25% Off Select Lego Sets @ Amazon: Movie Melting Room, Ninjago Battle for City & More!

LEGO City Trains Train Station Building Toy was $79.99 now $63.99 – Elsewhere, you’re looking at cost prices of $80 @ Chapters and Walmart, I can’t see this particular set at many other stores.

25% Off Select Lego Sets @ Amazon: Movie Melting Room, Ninjago Battle for City & More!

LEGO Star Wars B-Wing Building Toy was $59.99 now $44.99 – This Lego set is $60 @ Toys R Us, $60 @ Lego, and the same @ Sears.

If you are placing an order of $25 or more on, you will get free super saver shipping. Only the Melting Room falls below that minimum spend, all the others would come with free shipping automatically.

Overall, the prices on the above sets are excellent at Amazon. For those of you who know, it can be hard to get bargains on Lego. When you do find a bargain, it’s never a super steep discount such as 70% or 80%. But a 25% reduction on regular prices is great, especially as it is so close to Christmas and people are keeping their eyes out for this kind of bargain.

Tarantino XX Collection Blu-Ray Was $106 Now $47 & Free Shipping @ Amazon TODAY Only! (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 6, 2014 at 7:14 AM

Tarantino XX Collection Blu Ray Was $106 Now $47 & Free Shipping @ Amazon TODAY Only! (EXPIRED)

There’s a great price on this Tarantino XX collection on Blu-Ray, for today only, online @ Originally priced at $105.99, it’s down to $46.99 with free super saver shipping! Get it today though…

The blu-ray set contains 8 movies, I’m just going to list them here for your viewing ease, along with their IMDB scores:

  • Inglorious Basterds – 8.3
  • Pulp Fiction – 9.0
  • Kill Bill 1 & 2 – 8.2 & 8.0
  • Reservoir Dogs – 8.4
  • Jackie Brown – 7.5
  • Death Proof – 7.1
  • True Romance – 8.0

There are some absolute Tarantino classics in there, such as Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. Can you see a trend in the IMDB scores though – they’re all super high! The lowest was Death Proof with a score of 7.1 which I would agree with, I actually didn’t really enjoy that particular movie.

There are also a lot of added features in these discs, such as a “20 Years of Filmmaking” Featurette. I’d be interested to see a few of those.

I did however, LOVE Pulp Fiction. I’ve seen it sooooo many times. Additionally, when I was a teenager, I had a CD of the movie soundtrack, which I would constantly play on repeat. I know all the songs off by heart, and it’s probably one of my favourite movie soundtracks of all time. Whenever I’m out having a few drinks with friends and Son of a Preacher Man comes on, you can often hear me drunkenly bellowing the lyrics. Tarantino XX Collection Blu Ray Was $106 Now $47 & Free Shipping @ Amazon TODAY Only! (EXPIRED) Billy ray was a preacher’s son…

As for prices elsewhere, this particular Tarantino blu-ray box set isn’t sold online at many other Canadian retailers. I did spot it for $75 @ Best Buy though. If you know a fan of Tarantino, this could be an idea for a great Christmas gift. Additionally, there’s an amazing one sheet of the movie here at Love it.

What was your favourite Tarantino movie from the above choices?

Breaking Bad: The Complete Series [Blu-Ray] Only $87 @ Amazon Canada *HOT*

Posted by on December 5, 2014 at 12:43 PM

Breaking Bad: The Complete Series [Blu Ray] Only $87 @ Amazon Canada *HOT*

Breaking bad fans, you are going to die over today’s deal at Amazon Canada. Purchase Breaking Bad: The Complete Series on Blu-Ray for just $86.99 at Amazon Canada

There was some confusion in the reviews because Amazon mashed together the reviews for a previous set (which was only seasons 1-4) and this set, which contains “all 62 uncut, uncensored episodes”. Therefore, yes, all five seasons are in this box set and you will love every minute of it. What you will love even more is the price. I compared with other fabulous retailers of Blu-Ray sets and here is what they are selling this set for:

  • $155.97 @ Walmart Canada (OOS)
  • $162.99 @ Future Shop Canada (OOS – online)
  • $162.99 @ Best Buy Canada (OOS – online)
  • $149.99 @ HMV Canada (sold in store)

You may notice a slight trend – everyone is sold out online and you can reserve for in store pickup with the twins (Future Shop and Best Buy), but they are also near double the price! This is a hot deal and I honestly expect it to be out of stock any minute now.

Now, if you are a die-hard fan where only the best barely meets your expectations, then you need to purchase Breaking Bad: The Complete Series Limited Edition 2014 Barrel for only $119.99. Future Shop and Best Buy do not carry this product. Walmart Canada does, but it will cost you $210.97 there. This is a hard set to find and I fully expect it to sell out before the end of the day. As this reviewer says:

I can’t even begin to go into how much I adore this set. Having missed out on it last year, I lost hope of ever owning it with the ridiculous mark-up for used copies. When the opportunity arose again in the form of this re-release, I simply couldn’t pass it by. Now I understand why everyone has been raving about this set. It’s absolutely perfect.

Take it from the happy customers!

Both these deals are for one day only. For your information, the DVD set is not on sale so do not even bother looking at it. Purchasing the DVD set would cost you more than the Blu Ray set right now.

Receive free shipping on all orders of $25 or more.

$10 Off Disney Frozen Sparkle Anna – Now $15 @ *HOT*

Posted by on December 4, 2014 at 12:36 PM

$10 Off Disney Frozen Sparkle Anna Now $15 @ *HOT*

This is a really HOT deal on a Frozen doll (pun intended)! Amazon Canada has just discounted a Disney Frozen Sparkle Anna Doll by Mattel to just $14.94, from $24.99. Get one while you can because it has already hit #1 in amazon’s doll category!

This is a basic yet beautiful replication of sweet Anna from the Frozen movie. She is featured in her famous clothing accented with traditional Norwegian patterns. The top and boots appear to be painted on her but the cape, the tiara, and the skirt is removable. This doll has received lots of positive reviews including this one:

My sister and I are crazy about the awesome movie Frozen! So when my sister got this for her birthday, we both loved it! Anna has a removable cape and skirt that make it easy to put other (Barbie) clothes on, even with her plastic top. Her braids are really tight and her crown can come off- actually, we had to put a small rubber band in her hair to prevent the crown from falling! She fits in perfectly with Barbies and looks great on a Barbie horse

It is really cool that she can wear Barbie clothes and that she can ride on Barbie horses. When you can interchange accessories, you get more mileage out of a toy as they are more versatile and can move between worlds. I think this would make a fantastic gift for your little Frozen fan.

Now, there is a matching Elsa and a matching Kristoff, but they are both still at full price ($24.99 each). I am going to be watching them to see if they drop in price anytime soon as I know it is always nicer to get a set.

Amazon Canada offers free shipping on orders of $25 or more. You can get free shipping on just the doll if you are a Prime member, and I tell you here and here how you can get a trial prime membership for free.

It was originally priced at $208.99, which means you are looking at $119 in savings (57% off).

The Crucial M500 240GB internal solid state drive is designed to be incredibly faster than a regular hard drive as it has a 500 mb/s sequential read, 50 mb/s sequential write and 4KB random read. According to its description, it also features “top-level hardware encryption technology”.

This nifty little SSD also has a ton of extremely happy reviews. Well, by a ton, I mean over 75 but 63 of these have rated it 5/5 stars! Only one reviewer rated it one star and that’s only because of a price discepancy at the time of their purchasing, which had nothing to do with the product itself. Here’s what one happy reviewer had to say about it:

I bought and installed this drive into an Early 2009 iMac running OSX 10.10. It completely changed how the computer works and it is like a brand new machine! I love it! The swap (of existing 1TB 7200rpm drive) required some tools and a 3.5″ drive carrier from OWC, then I followed instructions from ifixit to do the work. Once installed, I had to boot on a special CD to upgrade to latest M05 firmware, then install the OS and restore from Time Machine. All worked perfectly and the performance on a SATAII interface is ideal. This is a winner!

Amazon’s price is also the lowest all around. NCIX is currently selling this same Crucial SSD for as much as $131.99. Newegg has it for $94.99 but with shipping, it comes up to $100.98 in total. This is also the best deal compared to the other available storage size, though these are on sale as well in case you need ones with either lower or higher storage sizes:

  • 120GB: reg. $120.99/ now $85.98 (29% off)
  • 480GB: reg. $406.99/ now $213.32 (48% off)
  • 960GB: reg. $659.99/ now $485.98 (26% off)

Since Amazon automatically ships orders over $25 for free, you’re sure to get free shipping on this little item as well. In case you have never ordered from Amazon before, shipping is fast as well.

Seagate 4TB External Hard Drive Only $110 @ Amazon Canada *HOT* (EXPIRED)

Be quick little moose and jump on this one-day deal at Amazon Canada for a Seagate Expansion 4TB Desktop External Hard Drive USB 3.0 (STBV4000100) for just $109.99! You are saving around $40 to $60 off the nearest competitor’s prices and you receive free shipping on your purchase.

This is a large hard drive at a very good price. When I price compared it at other retailers, here is what I found:

  • $144.99 + $5.99 shipping @
  • $169.99 @ Future Shop Canada
  • $169.99 @ Best Buy Canada
  • $189.99 @ Dell Canada

As you can see, Amazon Canada is really sporting an amazing deal on this hard drive. We have blogged about this hard drive deals before but this is one of the best deals we have every see per TB. To give you an example, before this, the best deal I had seen on an external hard drive was this 5TB Seagate for $140. If you divide the price by the number of TB, you come to $28 per TB. However, the deal I am blogging today – a 4TB for $110, comes out to just $27.50 per TB. It beats the other deal by 50 cents per TB. Granted that is not an earth shattering amount, but as a deal hunter it is good enough for me.

A 4 TB hard drive is more than enough space for all the movies and pictures I will ever need to store. I remember when you were lucky to find a 1TB hard drive for around this price so I am always amazed to see how far we have come in producing hard drives. This hard drive features USB 3.0 for faster transfer times. I have a 1TB external hard drive from OMEGA, but it is USB 2.0. That one thing makes me want to buy a new hard drive as it takes forever to back up my laptop.

There are many good reviews of the Seagate hard drive like this one:

Recently bought this HDD to store my movies and shows. It was an easy thing to do, truly plug & play. Also the TV (LG) recognizes the drive and I can control as if it were a Blu-Ray (even turn subtitles on/off). I am contemplating buying another one so that I have one for movies and one for TV Series. In either case, this is a great buy, well worth the money.

This deal is only on for TODAY – so pick it up quick before it jumps back up another $40 or so. As this hard drive costs over $25, you will receive free shipping.
