Toronto Direct To Honolulu on Air Canada Only $237 + Taxes

Posted by on January 5, 2015 at 12:05 PM

Toronto Direct To Honolulu on Air Canada Only $237 + Taxes

At first I didn’t want to share this deal because I was scared that everyone would book and the price would go up, but my better senses came forward and I decided I couldn’t not share this with my fellow Moosers. If you’ve been dreaming of Hawaii as a bucket list destination, but think it is too expensive, think again. I found a direct flight from Toronto to Honolulu for only $237 on Air Canada.

In the fall I was sitting at LAX, heading home from a conference. While I was in one of my favourite places in the world (California), I was a little envious of those tanned bodies getting off a flight from Hawaii. I decided since I was sitting there anyway, I would check how long the flight from Toronto was and the cost. I was shocked to see that Air Canada does a direct flight from Toronto in the winter months. The flight I found at that time was around $700 each way.

So, I moved on and didn’t think of it again until I was talking with my mother, who didn’t believe me that there were direct flights from Toronto. She was sure you had to go to Vancouver or California and go from there. Then, my mother-in-law also thought that a direct flight couldn’t be right. I, being me, had to prove them wrong.

In doing my research, I found that Air Canada flies direct from Toronto on a 10.5 hour flight to Honolulu on Wednesdays and Sundays during the winter. I was giddy when I found a flight for only $237! Taxes and fees to fly there added up to a total of $333. On the way home, my base far was also $237, but I got a grand total of $603. I think $600 is a pretty amazing deal for 21 hours of flying to an island!

This isn’t a sale, but I thought it was a sweet deal that needed to be known. If I wasn’t already heading south in a few weeks, I’d be jumping on this flight for my family. I looked into prices for accommodations and they run the range, but if you want budget, consider renting someone’s home and walk to the beach.

The funny thing that is after doing all this research, I saw an article this weekend that Obama visited Eddie Vedder while they were both vacationing in Oahu (which is where Honolulu is located) and I thought, if its good enough for them, it would definitely be good enough for me! I searched for a February 25th departure, which is the date that these prices came up for me. You may find even cheaper on other dates.

Air Canada Promo Code: 20% Discount

Posted by on December 20, 2014 at 3:15 PM

Air Canada Promo Code: 20% Discount

Looking to travel? Then here’s an awesome promotion from Air Canada: use the coupon code below to get a 20% discount on select flights when you fly from a Canadian city!

Click here to book your flight @ now

  • Coupon Code: 2015SAVINGS
  • Discount: 20% off
  • Expiry: 30th December 2014

Although it expires at the end of the month, this is a fabulous promotion for anyone looking to travel either within Canada, to select US cities or to select tropical destinations. Here are all of the routes to which this Air Canada coupon code can be applied:

  • Within Canada
  • Canada – Palm Springs
  • Canada – Florida
  • Canada – Dublin
  • Canada – New York
  • Canada – Phoenix
  • Canada – Las Vegas
  • Canada – Hawaii (Honolulu, Kahului, Kona)
  • Alberta – Los Angeles
  • British Columbia – Lost Angeles
  • Canada – Caribbean/ Mexico/ Costa Rica

However, this promotion excludes Canadian trips to Mexico City, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Port-au-Prince or Juan Santamaria in Costa Rica.

This promotion only applies for travel between January 7th and June 15th 2015. The only dates that it doesn’t apply to are between April 1st – April 7th and May 14th – May 19th 2015. It’s also valid on all Tango fares and flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Express and Air Canada rouge. Codeshare flights aren’t eligible. You can also only book 9 passengers per booking but if you’re booking for more passengers than that, then you can just create a new booking.

Sunny destinations are highly popular travel destinations in December but I actually much prefer travelling to those in January when it’s quieter. Plus, fares tend to be cheaper for January travel anyways, so if you’re looking to get away, then this would be a great opportunity to travel to one of the sunny locations listed above, or perhaps even to Los Angeles.

If you want to plan ahead, then you could also book a flight to anywhere else that this promotion extends to all the way up to June 15th.

Don’t forget that if you’re travelling with a child under the age of two, you still need to register their name for a ticket but at no extra cost.

Moosers, are you planning on travelling in the new year? Will you be taking advantage of this promotion?

Air Canada GiftMassive Giveaway: Free Flights, or 10% to 20% Discount! *** HOT ***

Posted by on December 13, 2014 at 9:21 AM

Air Canada is having a GiftMassive giveaway! Within this promotion, they are giving away instant coupon codes for up to 20% discount on the cost of their flights, and also some free flights!

On the above page, you’ve got to pop in your email address as they will instantly email you a coupon code, or details of your prize. For example, when I first tried it, I got a 10% coupon code. They’re all one-time use coupon codes and not shareable. So if you want one, give it a try on the link above.

The prize breakdown is this:

  • 500,000 codes for 10% discount off any Air Canada Tango base
  • 350,000 codes for 15% discount any Air Canada Tango base
  • 150,000 codes for 20% discount off any Air Canada Tango base fare
  • 65 pairs of Economy Class round-trip tickets for the winner & travelling companion (Canada/US)

Here’s the type of thing you will see when you enter the giveaway on the Air Canada page:

Air Canada GiftMassive Giveaway: Free Flights, or 10% to 20% Discount! *** HOT ***

Once you have chosen your prize as shown in the screenshot above, here’s a little glitch that seems to be happening. If you take the base URL:

And have a little fiddle with the number at the end (change it to different numbers), different codes and prize combos seem to appear. I found a 20% code with this:

Air Canada GiftMassive Giveaway: Free Flights, or 10% to 20% Discount! *** HOT ***

Now Moosers, you’ve got to be savvy shoppers here. Just because Air Canada are handing you a 10% or 15% coupon code doesn’t necessarily mean that this is the best price you can get for your flight. If you have a set trip in mind, you’re going to want to head over to Google Flights and compare the exact same flights and dates to those on Air Canada’s website. In some cases, there may be no benefit to using the Air Canada coupon codes, you may be better booking through Google Flights – so make sure you check it out.

I did just this when I was checking out some prices for a flight between Winnipeg and Toronto in January. It turns out that using the above 20% code ended up saving me $80 – so that was well worth it.

If you are interested in using this deal, get in fast before Air Canada discovers their mistake.

Air Canada Coupon Code: 15% Off for Cyber Monday (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 1, 2014 at 11:36 AM

Air Canada Coupon Code: 15% Off for Cyber Monday (EXPIRED)

Air Canada has a rare 15% off coupon code for travel dates January 12 through June 15, 2015 that are booked today only!

Click here to book your next flight with Air Canada now

  • Coupon Code: CYBERMONDAY
  • Discount: 15% off travel
  • Expiry: 1st December 2014

The coupon expires at 11:59PM in the time zone of your departing city. Thus, if you were leaving from Vancouver this Air Canada coupon code would expire at midnight PST.

Travel dates are restricted to January 12 to June 15, 2015 with April 1 to April 7 blacked out. The coupon is valid on Canadian, U.S., international destinations, and various sun destinations as well for Tango and Flex Fares. You can book for up to nine passengers at a time, so even small groups can take advantage of this promotion.

I am not fond of flying as planes are notorious at arriving so late that I barely make my next transfer, or getting cancelled so I do not make my transfer, or even losing my luggage. However, I love travelling so flying is one of those necessary things especially when you want to get to some place across the ocean in a timely manner – a cruise ship just will not do it.

My partner has a real hankering for visiting England this year. Flights to London are not exactly cheap, so we will certainly be on the lookout for coupons like this one once we narrow down some dates. The conversion between the British pound and the Canadian dollar is always painful, but London is an amazing place to visit and their museums are amazing. The British Museum is even free to visit and one of my favourite places in London. I hope to spend more than a few hours there this time.

As an added bonus, every flight book enters you into a draw for the 10 Million Aeroplan Miles Contest. That would certainly be a nice thing to win! Just think of all the places you could travel with that many Aeroplan points.

This is a Cyber Monday deal only people, so book now! Where is your next flight going to take you?

Air Canada: Seat Sale for 15% off 2 Days Only

Posted by on October 23, 2014 at 3:30 PM

Air Canada: Seat Sale for 15% off 2 Days Only

There is a pretty awesome deal happening right now at Air Canada for just two days only.  Save 15% on select flights with Air Canada, Air Canada Express or Air Canada rouge.

There are a variety of flights you can get the 15% off and this will definitely help with all of those extra fees now being issued with airlines.

This deal includes Canadian destinations, US, and international destinations and they are all 15% off without even needing a coupon code. I live in Calgary and I have family all over the US and Canada and even some family in the Caribbean so when I saw that it applies to pretty much anywhere Air Canada flies, I was excited immediately.

All of the prices listed online are one way fares. I have listed a few examples so you can get an idea of some of the great prices.

  • Calgary to Vancouver now $167
  • Toronto to Moncton now $157
  • Toronto to Quebec City now $169
  • Toronto to Boston now $163
  • Winnipeg to New York now $241
  • Toronto to Pairs now $766

As you can see, there are some pretty great deal to grab right now.

Something to keep in mind is that Air Canada is now charging a fee for all baggage.  They announced this the day after Westjet did with the fees varying on where you are headed.  Within Canada and some US destinations, the fee is $20 per bag.  Some US destinations are $25 a bag and international destinations are now up to $100 per bag depending on the country.

Most of the time, Air Canada lists blackout dates and dates of travel for when the deal is valid.  For some reason, they have not done that with this sale, which is a little disappointing since they seem to always have some kind of blackout dates. You may just have to play around to see if your travels will work with this 15% discount.

This is all of the information we know for this sale and as an avid traveller myself with a family of four, I know how awesome that 15% discount will be per ticket. This is especially true during the holidays!

Happy traveling Moosers!

Air Canada Vacations: Las Vegas For Only $340

Posted by on July 10, 2014 at 12:00 PM

Air Canada Vacations: Las Vegas For Only $340

Looking for a cheap vacation? Air Canada Vacations has a some very hot deals on trips to Vegas that start at only $340. This includes your flight, hotel and all taxes and fees! You just need to pay for your food, drinks and activities (except the ones included in this package!).

Not only do you get hotel and flight included in this package, there are some other perks added. First, you’ll get to choose your seats free. You’ll also get free round-trip transportation to your hotel. On top of this, you’ll get free access to the Maple Leaf Lounge, which is a huge bonus, as this is worth about $25 a person and as our own Mooser Anna has used it a few times in Toronto, she says it is great. You get complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, along with televisions, free WIFI, quiet zones and more. This saves you from sitting in a restaurant, paying $20 or more for a meal just so you have a spot to sit. I’m not done with the perks yet. You’ll also get a free tour to Laughlin, 2-for-1 helicopter, airplane and bus tours and priority check-in and late checkout.

Sounds awesome, doesn’t it? Now, the bad parts. I’ve heard Vegas is stifling hot in the summer. But, it is the desert, what else would you expect. All of the hotels and bars are air conditioned, so ignore the heat. Sit in the hotel’s pool with a drink all day. For less than $350, you can’t do that here for more than two days! The other is that this flight is with Air Canada Rouge, which I’ve heard is notorious for not being a fun airline to fly with. Apparently there is very little legroom, no WIFI and no televisions, but to this I say “whateves”. Your flight is just a small part of your vacation and I’m sure for the savings you are getting you can handle it for the four or so hours you are on the plane!

Air Canada: Save $330 per Couple to Mexico & Caribbean

Air Canada: Save $330 per Couple to Mexico & Caribbean

I don’t care what time of year it is, if there is an incredible deal that will allow me to go to Mexico or the Caribbean, I am making sure I check it out.  Right now over at Air Canada, they have a great deal that will save you on you travel to both Mexico or the Caribbean.  Save $330 per couple for just a few short days.

Saving $330 per couple is basically the equivalent to saving the cost of all the taxes or even more than that.

Some of the beautiful places you can travel to are places like Antigua, Turks and Caicos, Cancun and Punta Cana.  In fact, if you are traveling from Toronto, there are over 300 different package deals in total to choose from.

This deal will work for departures from 14 of Canada’s top airports and lucky me, Calgary is included! One deal in particular that caught my eye was the Calgary to Los Cabos deal for $434.36 plus $366.71 for taxes. That is for 7 night and they have a promotion to give you a $50 hotel credit as well. Not a bad deal at all!

Almost all of the deals are all inclusive, which is perfect because you wont need to worry about anything when you are down there costing extra.  All inclusive is the only way my husband and I will vacation now.

You will be able to get this deal for new bookings only and on select packages.  Valid for travel from June 1 and completed by Oct. 31, 2014. We sometimes get snow here in Alberta in October to heading to Mexico or somewhere else hot would be perfect!  There is a minimum of a 3 night stay but lets face it, who goes to somewhere hot and only stays 3 nights!  You can stay up to 14 nights total which is much more what I would be wanting to do.

Air Canada Promo Code: 20% Off Flights To Honolulu

Air Canada Promo Code: 20% Off Flights To Honolulu

Want to head to Hawaii this winter? Air Canada is giving you another reason to go, which is this fantastic promo code for 20% off your flight from anywhere in Canada to Honolulu.

Click here to book your dream trip @ now

  • Coupon Code: ALOHAROUGE
  • Discount: 20% off
  • Expiry: 10th June 2014

If there is somewhere I’d love to visit, it is Hawaii. If it is good enough for Oprah, it is good enough for me. Typically though, flights are mega-expensive because it is so far away, especially since I’m on the eastern side of Canada. Imagine my shock when I did a test flight and it was less than $400 from Toronto to Honolulu! And this is even including all taxes and surcharges, which usually kills the cheap price of the flight. With this new information, I might skip the heading to Florida that I was planning this Winter and hit up Hawaii instead. There is a layover in Vancouver, but I’ve never been there before either and it would be cool to try and get a long layover along the way.

Travel has to occur from November 21st, 2014 to April 30th, 2015, which is exactly when you’d probably want to get out of Canada. There is a maximum of nine people per booking, which works for me!

Just for fun, I checked on the Toronto price for the week of Christmas and flights were as low as $600, so if you really want to get your family something awesome for Christmas, check out this deal.

As always, Air Canada coupon codes are located in our forum, so if this deal doesn’t spark your fancy, see what else might do it.

Air Canada Coupon Code: 15% Off select flights within Canada

Air Canada Coupon Code: 15% Off select flights within Canada

Air Canada is offering 15% off select flights across Canada when you book today or tomorrow.

Click here to book your next flight @ now

  • Coupon Code: TOGETHER
  • Discount: 15% off
  • Expiry: 29th May 2014

This coupon is for routes within Canada excluding the following routes:

  • Toronto city’s airport – Montreal
  • Toronto Pearson – Montreal
  • Toronto Pearson – Ottawa
  • Toronto Pearson – Thunder Bay, ON
  • Toronto Pearson – Timmins, ON
  • Calgary – Cranbrook, B.C.

This coupon is valid for tango fares booked on Air Canada, Air Canada Express, and Sky Regional Inc. flights. With this coupon, you can actually travel between the 2nd of June 2014 all the way to the 10th of February 2015. However, there these blackout dates apply: October 10 to October 13, 2014 and December 18, 2014 to January 13, 2015.

Sometime within the next ten months, we are planning on visiting my husband’s brothers in Hamilton. Usually it is better timing flight-wise (and often cheaper) to fly into Toronto Pearson rather than try to get a flight directly to Hamilton. Nanaimo weather can also be unpredictable and planes do not leave if the fog is too thick. So I think we would ferry across to Vancouver and depart from Vancouver. I checked out what a flight from Vancouver to Toronto is running these days, and I could pick up a round trip ticket for $587. If I was flexible with my dates, I am sure iI could do better.

As always, Air Canada coupon codes are located on our forum.

Air Canada Vacations: Kids Stay, Fly & Eat Free This Summer

Air Canada Vacations: Kids Stay, Fly & Eat Free This Summer

I came across an absolutely fabulous deal that you don’t want to miss if you are travelling somewhere with kids by the end of September. Book in the next four days and your kid stays, eats and flies free at so many great resorts.

I am really interested in this deal, but unfortunately because you have to book by May 12th, I won’t be able to partake in it. I’d love to get the kids south and originally we talked about Disney but they all screamed when I suggested Mexico, which is quite alright with me. Just because we can’t go, it didn’t stop me from checking out the prices for my family and I was literally delighted, until I again remembered we are in the middle of moving our family across the province so a vacation is not on the radar. Bummer for me, great for you.

The best thing about this deal is that it applies to Sun Resorts which are family-friendly. This means you have a huge choice of kids activities and family-friendly accommodations. I have a family of five and most hotel rooms have a limit of four, so I did some research and found a number of resorts that had rooms that accommodated us without a huge extra cost (although some were just ridiculous). Seriously though, your kids will not just stay free and eat free, they fly free too and this is going to save you so much money as I don’t think Air Canada offers kid’s airfares anyway. You pay for the seat, no matter your age.

Think about this: the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya hotel and spa is a 4 Air Canada star hotel and you can go for $531.19 (plus those darn taxes) a person for seven nights all inclusive on June 10th. If you have two kids, your entire family can go for $1062.38 (plus $700.12 taxes). If you really want to get technical, the total cost of your stay, your flight and food per person per day would only be $62.95 a day!

Let me know where you are going!

Air Canada Coupon Code: 15% Off Canadian Travel

Posted by on April 16, 2014 at 7:32 PM

Air Canada Coupon Code: 15% Off Canadian Travel

Air Canada has a coupon code for 15% off air travel within Canada.

Click here to book your fall flight @ Air Canada now

  • Coupon Code: 15SPRING
  • Discount: 15% off
  • Expiry: 21st April 2014

I’m going to say fall flight because the coupon is valid on flights flown from the 8th of September through the 15th of December, 2014. If you have summer flight plans, this coupon is not going to help out. Sorry. The coupon is valid on tango and flex fares. Codeshare flights are unfortunately not eligible. Thanksgiving weekend is blacked out: so this coupon will not work on flights between the 10th and 13th of October 2014.

I will be done school at the end of June, but my graduation ceremony isn’t until November! I have no desire to drive through the Rocky Mountains in the middle of winter so I will probably fly from Vancouver Island, transfer in Vancouver (or Calgary), and onward to Edmonton for my graduation ceremony. This coupon will certainly help keep my flight costs down while I hop provinces. My husband will certainly be coming with me so 15% off two flights will be very helpful.

Where are you flying off to this fall?
