Sony eBook Readers For $150 @ Dell.ca

Over on Dell Canada, you can currently snap up a Sony PRS-T1 Touch-Screen eBook Reader with Wi-Fi  for only $149.99, a discount of $20 on the regular price of $169.99. While that doesn’t really sound like a huge saving, I’ve noticed that the Sony eBooks rarely go on sale – so this could be a good time to buy.

I’ve got an older version of this Sony eBook reader, but my fiancé has this model. I am quite jealous of his touch screen, because on my eReader the pages will only turn with boring button presses. He just has to swipe the screen – lucky duckie!

On Dell’s website, they’ve chosen to illustrate the Sony eBook reader with the first page of George R. R. Martin’s A Dance with Dragons, the 5th book in the Song of Ice and Fire Series. Have you read this series? I have read it twice now, I really like the books. I do find there are an awful lot of characters and it can be hard to keep them all straight in your head – to know which royal lady, prostitute, henchmen, or liege lord you’re dealing with. I’ve seen the first half of the first season of Game of Thrones so far, and I am really enjoying it too. Winter is coming!

The red Sony eBook reader is not on sale, it’s still at the full price of $169.99. But when I bought my Sony reader a few years ago, it was the exact same situation. The red one wasn’t on offer. I really wanted it though, so I ended up paying the extra cost just to have it in red. I do like my electronic devices to stand out from the crowd and I thought that most people use the plain colours, black, white, silver. I love my red reader though!
