RECALL: Graco My Ride 65 Convertible Car Seat

It isn't often that you hear of car seats being recalled - and it is quite scary when you do hear of it. Today, Graco Canada has announced a Safety Advisory concerning 25,000 of their My Ride 65 Convertible Car Seats.

Essentially, Graco has decided to recall the harness restraints on these My Ride 65 Convertible Car Seat. The recall applies to select seats manufactured during the summer of 2014 and sold in Canada only.

The recall was issued because the harness restraint webbing on this car seat does not meet the requirements for breaking strength in accordance with the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standard.

If you have an affected car seat, you will receive a new replacement kit with harness restraints and instructions for free.

It also says that while waiting for your replacement, you can continue to use the seat as is, but will you?
