Perfect Lens Canada Coupon Code: $10 Off $98 & Free Shipping on $39

Perfect Lens Canada is new to Bargainmoose so please give them a warm welcome! This lovely little company has two promotions on simultaneously until the end of October. Receive $10 off orders of $98 or more with the following coupon. In addition, orders of $39 or more will ship free.

Click here to shop @ Perfect Lens Canada now

  • Coupon Code: PHAL
  • Discount: $10 off $98
  • Expiry: 31st October 2014

This is their grand opening year (until the end of October). After that, the free shipping minimum will go up but I am unsure to what level. I think the free shipping at $39 is a deal in itself as Clearly Contacts requires a $99 minimum for them to ship contacts free.

The $10 off $98 merely sweetens the deal. Now, I do not know much about contact lenses even though my husband and both my parents wear glasses. My mother and my husband have not tried contacts as they have sensitive eyes. Only my father has tried contacts, but his eyes are so different that the contacts could not do the full correction that his glasses given him.

However, I do know a thing or two about bargain hunting. The first thing you need to do is price compare. I found Perfect Lens to be much cheaper on some lenses and much more expensive on other lenses. No matter which lenses you buy, make sure you price compare them first.

On Bausch & Lomb SofLens 59, Perfect Lens certainly has the winning price. A box of six retails for $24.99 at Clearly Contacts, but Perfect Lens has the same box for just $16.98. I attempted to compare prices on the larger packs like this SofLens 59 8-Box Pack (48 Pairs) for $129.52, but Clearly Contacts did not have bulk packs of these lenses. That price would come down to $119.52 after coupon for 48 pairs of contacts.

As I mentioned, price compare whatever you buy. Clearly appears to have the Acuvue contacts on sale for a better price right now, but the Cooper Vision contacts are a better price at Perfect Lens. I found the Biomedics One Day (Clearsight One Day) for just $18.78 whereas Clearly Contacts has them for $25.99. That is a big price difference!

An extra tip: try price matching. I know Clearly Contacts offers it (but they would not match the coupon). If you find something you want at Perfect Fit that is a bit cheaper elsewhere, you might as well ask if they will price match it.

Orders under $39 cost $9.95 to ship. For future Perfect Lens coupon codes, please visit the coupon forum.

5 Ways to Save Money While in School

5 Ways to Save Money While in School

Whether it is your first time in university or college or whether you are returning back to school after a long period of being in the workforce, it is generally agreed upon that school is expensive.  Although furthering your education can help you develop your career and improve your income by leaps and bounds, it might not feel like this at the time.  You might just feel like a poor student.  However, sometimes being a poor student does have its perks, and so being able to save money while you are in school becomes less difficult and easier to accomplish.

Here are some strategies that will help you save money while you are in school.

Max Out Your Student Perks

Just like Gail Vaz-Oxlade suggests in this Moneysense article on saving money at school, max out your student benefits.  The rest of the world knows that you are a starving student, why not take advantage of it while you can?

Bus passes, museum tickets, concert tickets, Greyhound bus pass, Air Canada flight passes, Vancouver International Film Festival tickets… the list goes on.  There are many places that offer a discount for students.  One of the most recognized student discount pass (especially if you plan to go abroad) is the ISIC card, or the International Student Identity Card.  It lets the people from the foreign places you plan to go to know that you are a starving student.

Hit the Student Gym

If it’s already included in your fees, why not use it so you are saving money on a gym membership or a monthly yoga class?  Student Universe also states that most schools have a student gym and some even have classes like yoga or pilates that you can take.  These classes are normally very expensive so it makes sense to take advantage of it while you have a student gym pass/ access to enjoy.

Get a Part-Time Job

I personally worked throughout University (both times I went) with a part-time job.  Sure, there were times when I felt really time-crunched, however, I think working allows you to prioritize and to focus on things that matter.  Plus, knowing that you will finish your education program without as much debt as you could have had is priceless.  I believe that working gives you the onus to prioritize and get organized, two skills that are essential as a student.  Of course, you cannot work so much but personally I like to feel productive and I like the organization.  Being organized in my life helped me become organized for my main job.  Although, I only worked 10-15 hours per week with the part-time job in the evenings and weekends.

Buy Used Textbooks

Skip your university or college bookstore, the best place to buy your books is (like most things nowadays) online.  From Bargainmoose, here are some places that you can buy used text books.  Personally, I saved a few hundred dollars buying my textbooks from Amazon.com and then picking it up across the border, rather than going to my university bookstore to buy the books that they recommended.

You could also take advantage of the coupons we have here on Bargainmoose for stores like Bookmob and Textbook Rental and even rent your textbooks.

All you need is the ISBN number from the list your instructor tells you to get, and you just plug that into Amazon.com or Amazon.ca.  Of course, there are a lot of other places to buy your used text books, instead of Amazon.com.  The great thing is that you can resell your books to Amazon.com and then get a gift card for the value of your used books.  No fuss, no muss really.

Pack Your Lunch

Finally, just like for those who work full-time, packing your lunch or avoiding that daily coffee is going to save you ton of money in the end.  Considering a lunch is at least $5 to $10 per day, that’s at least $1000 per year (averaging 4 lunches per week).  That is enough for a last minute ticket to Mexico for spring break!  Besides, packing your lunch is good for your waist line too, and at least you know what you are putting in the food.  Knowing that you are saving day by day is priceless.

Bargainmoosers, are there other ways that you saved money while in school?

Target Canada Printable Coupon: 10% Discount In Store

Posted by on October 24, 2014 at 7:30 PM

Target Canada Printable Coupon: 10% Discount In Store

Two printable coupons in one day, what is the Moose coming to! Yes dear Bargainmoosers, we have another fantastic printable coupon for you to take advantage of in your travels. Enjoy 10% off at your local Target Canada on October 25th and 26th with the following printable coupon code.

Note: this printable coupon starts tomorrow.

I frequent Target for one thing and one thing only: kitty litter. They have some of the absolute best deals on Maxx Scoop cat litter, which I use for my cats currently. You can often get a 7kg container for just $4.97 on sale. It totally beats the competition and this printable coupon for 10% off would make the deal even better. We usually load up on six cases of it as we have two large male cats that use a fair bit of litter as you can imagine.

Last time we were in Target Canada, I ended up picking up a Blu-Ray movie for just $10! I found The Great Gatsby with sweetheart Leonardo DiCaprio staring as Gatsby. I watched that movie originally on a place and thought it was visually stunning – a real treat. I could not believe the price so I had to pick it up.

There is a limit of one coupon per person. The exclusions are as follows:

Excludes all rain checks, purchases at Target Mobile and Brunet affiliated pharmacies in Québec, prescriptions and certain other pharmacist-dispensed items, gift cards and prepaid cards, and all Apple and Bose products.

They also reserve the usual right to refuse coupons, to limit quantities within reason, and the usual fine print that covers their butts.

I am seriously stoked about this offer because we so rarely blog about Target Canada. They do not have an online presence yet in the cold damn north, and they very rarely have nation-wide offers in store that we can share. That is why this printable coupon is so thrilling.

I wanted also to mention their REDcard while I am blogging about Target. Sign up for a REDcard with Target Canada and receive 5% off daily purchases. You will also receive a one-time 5% off coupon good for an additional 5% off. If you are a REDcard member, this printable coupon should stack on top of your usual 5% off savings.

For this and any future Target.ca coupons, visit our forum.

Hudson’s Bay Coupon Code: $20 off $100 Women’s Fashions

Posted by on October 24, 2014 at 7:00 PM

Hudsons Bay Coupon Code: $20 off $100 Womens Fashions

Hudson’s Bay Canada is offering $20 off orders of $100 or more of women’s fashions. The coupon works on both regular price and sale items.

Click here to shop @ Thebay.com now

  • Coupon Code: BAYDAYS39
  • Discount: $20 off $100
  • Expiry: 26th October 2014

My attention is invested in this coupon as I am looking to give my mother some clothing for her birthday, including the sale flannel nighties I previously mentioned. It would require quite a few nighties to meet the $100 minimum, so I am looking at what else Hudson’s Bay has on sale for women’s apparel. Getting lost in the dress section, I found some amazing deals.

There are a plethora of dress on sale from Calvin Klein. All of the dresses I picked out originally retailed for $139 and are on sale for $41.70. You are saving nearly $100 on each dress and then you can use the coupon up there to save an addition $20 once you reach the $100 minimum. My dress picking criteria was this: it had to be under $50 on sale and there had to be at least three sizes still in stock. I found four dresses matching my criteria from the designer Calvin Klein:

These dresses are very different from each other. The pleated pencil is your standard little black dress that would look great with heels and jewellery for a night out or can be paired with a cardigan and dress boots for the office. A sleeveless sweater dress is actually a winter-friendly option. Pair it with a cardigan for outside and take off the cardigan in your well-heated office. Both the printed shift and the colourblock dress are very bold. They have different cuts to suit different tastes. In stock sizes range from six up to size 14.

While Ivanka Trump did not have nearly as many dresses on sale, I did find some good deals with decent selection. The Long Sleeved Print Dress was $129 and is now on sale for $38.70. I have to say it is a rather strange dress with the contrasting arms and drawstring at the waist. Oddly enough, I think my mother would like it. The Drape Neck Sheath Dress is a lovely little black dress with gold tone hardware accenting one shoulder. Originally $139, the dress is on sale for $41.70. Sizes small, medium, and large are still in stock.

Receive free shipping on orders of $99 or more. For this and any future Hudson’s Bay coupon codes, visit our forum.

Derriere De Soie (US) Coupon Code: 30% Discount

Posted by on October 24, 2014 at 4:30 PM

Derriere De Soie (US) Coupon Code: 30% Discount

I am very pleased to be bringing you an awesome coupon code for 30% off at Derriere De Soie (US)! I blogged about them before, and am super excited to be bringing you another fabulous deal from this boutique.

Click here to shop @ Derriere De Soie (US) now

  • Coupon Code: ADDICT30
  • Discount: 30% off
  • Expiry: 31st October 2014

All prices are in USD. Let us review why I enjoy this US based boutique so much:

Shipping

Their shipping to Canada is stupid reasonable. I have loaded up my cart with six things varying in weight and shape to find shipping costs of only $5 – $8! I shop online a lot and I also resell stuff online, yet I cannot even ship a shirt within my own province for that!

Customer Service

Without a doubt, the customer service at this boutique rocks. On my first order, they were out of stock on a pair of underwear I wanted, so they offered a couple replacement suggestions and even said I could pick a higher priced pair of underwear as a replacement. Their responses have always been timely as well.

Deals

I came for the deals, and I stay for the great customer service and the reasonable shipping. This coupon works on top of the mind-blowing deals in the sale section. For example, This Sheer Tactel Underskirt in Nude was $99 and is on sale for $19.80. After coupon code, it comes down to $13.86. Sure, a nude slip is not the most glamorous, but they sure are useful!

My tastes run a bit more expensive, so here are my two other recommendations from the sale section if you are the appropriate size. This Velvet Delices Babydoll Chemise by Lise Charmel is screaming my name. Originally $100 and on sale for $40, you will spend only $28 with the above code. The slip is still available in medium and extra-large.

Someone must buy this French Silk & Lace Negligee Gown in Black by La Fee Verte (size medium) that was $208 and is now $52. After coupon code, pay just $36.40. I own some La Fee Verte items and they are just lovely. This price is too low in my books!

Even though this coupon code works on sale items, check out the rest of the store as well. I highly recommend the PJ Harlow Mikel Satin Shorts in Pearl for any girls with bigger hips. Derrier De Soie sent me a pair in my last order. At first I thought there was no way that my rather generous hips would fit into a more structured fabric like satin – but the fit is really sweet and they are fantastic for sleeping in or to wear as lounge wear. The price is incredibly reasonable at $48, which comes down to $33.60 after coupon. I like them so much, I will probably be purchasing the blue or teal ones shortly a well – I just cannot decide which!

I also received the PJ Harlow Charlie Rib Racerback Tank in Pearl to match the bottoms. This tank is made of the softest pima cotton ever. I thought my 100% cotton tees were good, but the spandex in this shirt helps it hold its shape on the body. Honestly, it looks far better than my other tanks without a touch of spandex. This tank and its varying colours are $45 and come down to $31.50 after coupon.

I hope our Moosers enjoy this coupon and score some great deals on lingerie, loungewear, sleep wear, and more! Feel free to share any wonderful deals you get!

Under Armour Canada Promo Code: Armour39 Heart Rate Monitor Only $35

Under Armour Canada Promo Code: Armour39 Heart Rate Monitor Only $35

Under Armour has a fantastic deal on right now, getting you the Armour39 heart rate monitor and chest strap for only $34.99 with a regular price of $114.99, if you use the promo code below. That’s a savings of $80 on this unit!

Click here to shop @ Undearmour.com now

  • Coupon Code: ARMOUR39CA
  • Discount: $80 off
  • Expiry: 15th November 2014

While the expiry is well into November, I think that this could be a hot item that will sell out quick. If you are athletic and need to monitor heart rate, calories, intensity, this baby will give you real time data. It doesn’t just give you averages, but the actual data you need. You wear this over your chest and you can track your stats on your phone as well. It is sweat-proof, so feel free to work your butt off and it won’t damage the monitor (just don’t swim in it). On top of that, it will wick the sweat, so you don’t get yucky rashes under the monitor and so you don’t need to adjust it when you get all slippery.

It has a large number of reviews on the Under Armour page, giving it a total rating of 3.5 out of 5. While that isn’t incredible, it is still pretty nice. As always, you should read the reviews to get a good idea of where it fails in case it is or isn’t that important to you. It looks like it might take some figuring out at first, especially with using the app.

Here is an honest review:

So far I’ve done the assessment and one spinning session and have been very pleased with it’s performance. It worked really well with mapmyfitness (valuable to me as it syncs directly with myfitnesspal, also a recommended app), displaying quasi-realtime heartrate and estimated calories burned. As it’s the first HR monitor device I’ve owned I’m really looking forward to using it as a learning tool in catering my workouts appropriately. The WillPower score seems a little gimicky to me, will use it more for hitting my target HR zones.

Of course, I looked for prices otherwise and found this exact unit at Sportchek, where it sells for full price. The lowest I found it was on Amazon.com for $57.49.

You’ll also get free shipping on this and if you want to check for more Under Armour coupons codes, you’ll have to visit the forum.

Hatley Canada: Free Shipping With No Minimum

Posted by on October 24, 2014 at 3:30 PM

Hatley Canada: Free Shipping With No Minimum

If you love free shipping with no minimum offers, you’ll love that Hatley is doing it all this weekend again. I know that this is a big deal to a lot of you, so I didn’t want to keep it a secret. You’d normally have to purchase a minimum of $50 to get free shipping, but this time you can shop the sale section with ease knowing whatever you buy won’t have extra fees attached.

I was pleasantly surprised to find some good finds in the women’s section of the outlet. I’m heading south and already imagining myself wearing this scattered anchors dress. I wouldn’t just have to wear it south, as it suggests wearing it with leggings in the colder weather, which I would also totally do. Something about a nautical look that is so classy. This dress was $69 and now only $34.50, and of course, gets free shipping on top.

I am completely drooling over this red rain jacket. While I go all out and spend tons of keeping my kids dry during the rainy periods, there I stand in a fleece sweater, getting soaked! I realized that I don’t have one single spring or fall jacket, only cardigans and hoodies. That needs to change! I’ve always wanted a red jacket as well and this one is so beautiful on top of it. While the photo doesn’t show it, it also has a removable hood, which I think is pretty important in a rain jacket. It was $169 and now down to $84.50.

With Christmas around the corner, pyjamas might be a go-to gift, as it is in my family. Hatley has the best jammies around! They have quite a few styles on sale too, which means double bonus! These fun bugs boys PJ set is available in all three of my boy’s sizes and are now only $17.50, with a regular price of $35. I love putting them in matching pyjamas, especially on Christmas morning as it looks super cute in the photos.

Toys R Us Canada Midnight Madness Sale Starting @ 6pm Tonight!

Posted by on October 24, 2014 at 3:00 PM

Toys R Us Canada Midnight Madness Sale Starting @ 6pm Tonight!

Starting at 6pm EDT tonight, Toys R Us will be having a Midnight Madness Sale but don’t miss it because it’s only 6 hours and will end at midnight. Plus, when you spend over $100, you will also get 75 bonus Air Miles reward miles.

Keep in mind that not all deals will be live at exactly 6pm. Some will only start at 7pm, 8pm or 10pm. Below I have selected some of the hottest deals that are worth paying attention to but you can check out all of these either once the event goes live or in Toys R Us’ sneak preview flyer.

6pm – 12am

7pm – 12am

8pm – 12am

10pm – 12am

If you don’t already have an eReader, then the 30% discount on Kobo readers and accessories is certainly worth taking advantage of. The Kobo Touch eReader, for instance, comes down to just $56 instead of $79.99. That is an incredible price to pay for an eReader and a Kobo one at that. In fact, the Kobo Touch is all out of stock on Chapters Indigo’s site and the cheapest eReader available there right now is the Kobo Arc 7 at $129.99. Sure, it’s an inch bigger than the touch but I promise, you won’t even notice the difference. I have had the same Sony eReader 6″ for a couple of years now and I certainly don’t mind that it’s “only” 6 inches in size. With the Kobo Touch, you can add over 2.5 million books (I dare you to reach that threshold) and it also has a 1-month battery life.

For the most part, shipping is free on orders over $25. However, some larger items may come at an extra shipping cost, which you will see at check-out.

Lowes Canada Coupon Codes: 5% to 15% Discount

Lowes Canada has released three wonderful coupon codes for 5% up to 15% off your entire order with a minimum purchase. Do a little shopping for your home this weekend and get anything that can be shipped via parcel shipped free.

  • Coupon Code: WEEKEND5
  • Discount: 5% off $100
  • Coupon Code: WEEKEND10
  • Discount: 10% off $200
  • Coupon Code: WEEKEND15
  • Discount: 15% off $300

All of these coupons will be valid until Sunday, October 26th, so you can shop all weekend with them online if you would like.

Basically, the more things you buy, the more money you will save on your purchases. This includes sale items and regular priced items so there is the potential to save a lot of money.  The only real exclusions for this deal is things like gift cards, services and volume pricing approvals.  Other than that, load up your cart and watch the savings happen!

Even if you are just saving the minimum of 5% on your order with the first coupon, that is still 5% in your pocket.  Lowes doesn’t often have these types of coupons so this is the perfect time to take advantage of them.

If you are looking to pair one of these coupons with some deals, there are a lot to choose from this weekend.  Currently, they have all of their trailers on sale right now for 10% off the regular prices and you can save even more once you use one of these coupons. They also have a pretty big Tool Event on as well. Their Mega Tool Event has tools on sale up to 40% off and again, you save even more money with one of the coupons above.

Lowes Canada has a huge range of products including some great items that no one would think to look for.  I love decorating for Christmas and they have a pretty vast Christmas section online to take advantage of. My kids would just love this huge inflatable festive animated polar bear and penguins kaleidoscope igloo that is priced at $119.  The first coupon will give you a 5% discount automatically without anything else even added to your cart bringing the total down to just $113 right of the bat. Chances are this thing is so huge, it will take up my entire front yard but I couldn’t resist something that my kids would love so much!

Each of these Lowes Canada coupons can be found posted up on the Bargainmoose coupon forum along with some great store deals.

Staples Canada Printable Coupon: 10% Discount In Store

Posted by on October 24, 2014 at 1:30 PM

Staples Canada Printable Coupon: 10% Discount In Store

We do not often post just in store deals, but this one is such a nice little coupon! Receive 10% off anything in store at Staples Canada this weekend. By this weekend, I actually mean Friday and Saturday only.

This coupon actually has so few exclusions! You cannot use it on stamps, gift cards, self-serve copying (but maybe non-self serve?), computer rentals, phone cards, or Bose products. While I am somewhat sad about the Bose exclusion (I want one of their wireless speakers so badly), everything else is fair game. In store deals vary by city and province. My own Staples flyer had some rather paltry offerings I must say.

You want to know something that is not excluded? Apple. Yes, nowhere on the coupon is Apple products excluded from the 10% off. The entire category of laptops is also fair game so you can find an awesome deal on a laptop and then stack this coupon on top for an even better savings. That is how I bought my mother’s laptop actually! I found a base model for $50 off and then I had a printable coupon that saved me an extra $20 or so.

This coupon also does not exclude tablets or MP3 players or any of those other yummy pieces of technological ingenuity. Purchase a new headset, a new smart phone, or load up on office supplies while you are there.

Online and maybe in-store as well, the new Apple iPad Air 2 tablets are on pre-sale. You could always see if you can use the 10% off coupon code on a pre-sale. Frankly, you are paying up front for the device on one of the days the printable coupon is valid and it does not explicitly say that the coupon cannot be used against pre-sales. I assume you would end up fighting with the Staples store manager on this one. However, if you love the next best thing it might be worth a try. Getting 10% off a brand-new (not even technically released yet) iPad Air 2 would be awesome!

If you use the printable coupon, then please let me know what you manage to score with it especially if you manage to score a fantastic tech deal! I always love hearing about those.

Staples Canada reserves the right to limit quantities. For this and any other Staples coupons, visit the forum.

Walmart Canada: 8pg Cross Cut Shredder only $35 (Was $59.99)

Posted by on October 24, 2014 at 12:30 PM

Walmart Canada: 8pg Cross Cut Shredder only $35 (Was $59.99)

If you have been holding back on purchasing a proper shredder to shred those precious phone bills, receipts, and credit card bills, then wait no longer! Walmart Canada has an eight page cross cut shredder on sale for only $35 (was $59.99) with free shipping.

It is really hard to do a price comparison when brand name is not given. I assume this is a Walmart brand or maybe just that piece of info has been accidently left off the website. Anyway, I price compared with previous shredder deals we have found and written about on Bargainmoose. Previously, Eva and I have found eight page cross-shredders from Staples Canada on sale from $59.92 down to $39.92. The last deal we found on a shredder was this 11-page shredder for $49.99 at Amazon Canada that Margarita posted. Compared to these previous deals, Walmart’s discount is a solid $5 under Staple’s sale price for the same shredder and Walmart offers free shipping whereas Staples you have to hit a $45 minimum.

The shredder can cross-shred up to eight pages at a time and store the shredding in a 14 litre drum underneath. The machine turns paper into 5/32″ x 1-3/8″ cross cut shreds. There are auto start, stop, and reverse functions. As Margarita mentioned in her post on shredders a while back, crosscut shredders are a security level three. Ideal for private documents but not quite good enough for stuff like medical records (just burn them).

There is only one review on this Shredder at Walmart right now, and the reviewer only had good words for the machine:

I bought this shredder a month ago. It is powerful and really shreds. Highly recommended.

For a house or small office shredder, this should come in quite handy. I often worry about the security of my documents even when I recycle most of my paper. I used to worry even more when we did not have recycling because dumpster divers are nature’s natural recycling program it seems. Even now that I recycle, I would prefer to give them my shredded bills, receipts, and mail rather than a whole or just torn up document.

Hey Moosers, do you own a shredder? If not, why? If so, what documents do you designate for the shredder?

As with all orders from Walmart, this will ship for free to your house.

If you are looking for a great gift idea, or want to take your couponing to the next level (and you know you do, you savvy Mooser, you), check out Entertainment book. Right now, their books are on sale for $29.99 plus free shipping, with a regular price of $35.

You don’t need a coupon code to get your book at this price, you just need to shop today. What you’ll get for $30 is both a print and digital membership, so your bevvy of coupons are always in your hands. There are coupons for so many stores and attractions, plus restaurants and even grocery coupons all over Canada and the U.S. I have found that the majority of the coupons are for major cities, so if you live in a small town or smaller city away from the major metropolis, the book might not have as much to offer you. But, don’t let that stop you, as there are still quite a few coupons that could save you more than the $30 you are spending for use online or in chain stores and restaurants.

For example, there is a Marble Slab coupon that gets you one free regular sized ice cream cone with the purchase of a second regular sized ice cream cone and you can use it over and over. So, every time you go to Marble Slab, your date will get free ice cream. I know with having three kids, we go out for ice cream a lot and if I got essentially two cones free each time, my $30 would be saved within a few trips to the ice cream shop.

I also think that anyone would love this as a gift because they can choose where they want to shop, which they can’t really do with just a gift card.

6 Homemade Halloween Decorations that are Practically Free

6 Homemade Halloween Decorations that are Practically Free

Halloween is one of my favourite holidays to celebrate, partly because it is a lot of fun to decorate my house inside and out.  I seem to buy new decorations every single year and my husband has finally put his foot down this year and gave me a budget.  Being the crafty, savings-type person I am, I decided instead of buying new things this year, I am going to make the decorations myself.  Not only will this save us money, but my kids can join in the fun and make some scary and spooky decorations as well.

I hit up some great websites to see if I could find some DIY decorations and was shocked at how many awesome ideas are out there.  Here are a few of the great inexpensive Halloween decoration I found online, that you can make yourself. Some of them are creepy, some of them are kid friendly but all of them are perfect for this holiday.

1. Mummy Doors

This idea from Keeping It Simple is such a fun idea for the whole family to do.  Instead of buying the supplies like they suggest, I suggest you use toilet paper and make your own mummy eyes out of cardboard.

2. Milk Jug Ghosts

I have a family of four so we go through a lot of milk jugs and usually just recycle them.  This is a great way to recycle them in a different way. The easy directions are on Eighteen25 so you can make your own.

3. Cardboard Cutouts

This is definitely a creepy decoration but I love it!  Just make some cardboard cutouts in the shape of people, paint them black and cut out the eyes. I found this at Brastwurst Tumblr and it would be perfect for a party.

4. Spider

With this DIY craft, you can use some items around the house to create a huge spider for the inside or the outside of your house. You can make it fun or scary.  All of the directions for this spider are posted on Listotic.

5. Glowing Eyes

6 Homemade Halloween Decorations that are Practically Free

This has to be the cheapest and easiest craft idea.  I can’t believe I have never thought of this before. Just take a toilet paper roll and cut out different eyes and stick a dollar store glow stick in it to hang outside. These perfect decorations are from Her Campus.

6. Frankenstein Cans

6 Homemade Halloween Decorations that are Practically Free

This is another fun craft to do with your recycling at home. Paint some cans green and black and add some wine corks and googly eyes and you will have your very own Frankensteins for Halloween. You can find this idea at Brew My Tea.

What homemade Halloween decorations have you made in the past Moosers?

Happy Halloween!

Fruits & Passion Canada: BOGO Free on Skincare

Fruits & Passion Canada: BOGO Free on Skincare

Right now, all skincare products are BOGO free at Fruits & Passion Canada.

Okay! Let us get a couple things straight right off the bat. Fruits & Passion has a small skincare selection so do not expect pages and pages of products. In fact, this is the sum total of the skin care products they offer:

You get to choose from six products. However, quantity does not make up for quality and quality is what matters. These products are formulated without DE/DEH phthalate, formaldehyde and benzene. They are also Triclosan, Colorant, Mineral oil, Alcohol, and BHT free. Fruits & Passion do not test on animals nor do they use any animal-sourced ingredients. In summary, they eliminate a whole bunch of harmful chemicals.

Add two products to your account and receive the cheaper one free. One of the great things about this deal is the pricing. There are only two price points for six products so you can easily maximize your savings. The sucky part is if you buy two of the more expensive products and two of the cheaper products it takes off the price of the two cheaper products. You may need to divide your order into two to take advantage of this deal.

Now, there are extra bonuses that make this deal even more delicious. Firstly, receive three free facemasks with any purchase of $35 or more. They have a value of $7.50.

I also ran across a sweet little promotion where you can pick up a new product, the Almond Macaroon Hand Cream, for just $2 (limit one per customer) with your order. For a 40ml bottle, that is an awesome little deal. Make sure to add this to your cart if the banner for it does not pop up properly.
Lastly, Fruits & Passion usually offer free shipping on $85 or more. That might be why the last time we posted about them was at the beginning of August. However, they are offering free shipping on $45 or more right now, which is a much easier minimum to meet.

If you have any trouble meeting that minimum, then check out the Clearance section for deals starting at just $5. That is how I like to shop, find out how much more I need to reach the free shipping minimum and then hit the sale section.
