Go Gear Canada: Over 40% Outdoor Research Jackets & Gloves

Go Gear Canada: Over 40% Outdoor Research Jackets & Gloves

If you don’t know Outdoor Research, they are a company that makes being outside their life goal. They make very good quality outdoor clothing, whether it be for skiing, hiking, camping or just being in nature. Outdoor Research items can be pricey because of their amazing quality, so getting 40% off makes it a must-have.

Note that you have to be logged in to see the prices, which just takes entering your email and adding a password, and it is all free. As I do with every sale, I price compare the brand at other stores and I found that these are wildly low prices compared to elsewhere.

Take this men’s Foray jacket with just too many features to list. Go Gear is selling it for $139.99, with a regular price of $250.00 I found it at Outdoor Research (U.S.) for $215, at Altitude Sports for $249.99 and at Amazon.com (U.S) for $149.95.

I found the same type of pricing with this men’s radiant hybrid pullover in glacier abyss. I actually really love the look of this jacket and think it is not only practical, but is a touch sexy. I imagine an outdoorsy-type of guy sitting in a fold-up chair with mussed up hair. But I do have a wild imagination. Either way, you’ll only pay $49.99 and it was $90.

If you are spending over $75, whatever you buy will ship to you for free.

West49 Canada: BOGO 50% Off Tees, Tanks, Shorts & W49 Jeans

Posted by on April 19, 2014 at 12:30 PM

West49 Canada: BOGO 50% Off Tees, Tanks, Shorts & W49 Jeans

Buy one, get one 50% off on tees, tanks, shorts and W49 jeans and be prepared for the hot, hot weather about to befall us.

Don’t do what I did and click the link to shop and not realize that this sale is only on what I mentioned above. At checkout you’ll just get all frustrated and that is not a nice feeling. Trust me. If it isn’t obvious, West49 sells what looks like skater clothes. You don’t have to be a skater to wear them, but that is the look you get. I’m into a number of pieces and I have never been anywhere near a skateboard.

For instance, this mesh racer back tank is unique and perfect for hot summer days loungin’. It costs $26. I could pair it up with these Bianca girls shorts, although I think they are a little short for me at my age (even though I’d still rock them!). They are $60, but if I bought both I’d pay $73 total.

So while shopping for boy and man items, I realized that not all shorts are included in this sale. The boardshorts and the walking shorts did not discount at checkout. I don’t know if this is a fault or part of the sale, but I’m going to let you find what you need and contact someone if it doesn’t discount like it should. I’ve done my part and let you know about the sale, thank me later. West49 Canada: BOGO 50% Off Tees, Tanks, Shorts & W49 Jeans

Shipping is free on orders over $99.

Naartjie Kids Canada: $9 Essentials

Posted by on April 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM

Naartjie Kids Canada: $9 Essentials

Naartjie Kids is having a sale on all their essentials. I have no idea why they are called essentials because the category looks like a mish mash of everything, but it looks like the regular price on most is $15.95 and they are now $9 in all the sections for boys and girls.

This morning on my Facebook I noticed that a friend had won a gift card on Naartjie’s site. I happily informed her as she didn’t realize it and thought that was pretty cool. This brought me to their site, where I found this sale on essentials, which I am going to assume is a brand of Naartjie.

Always shopping for my boys, I found these brushed fleece shorts, which are perfect for camping in a multitude of colours. I could get one boy outfitted for the whole summer at only $9 a pair, was $15.95.

Shopping for tweens is easy (if its a girl) because Naartjie has a whole tween girl section, where I found these mixed print capri leggings. I’d seriously like a pair of these cute leggings for myself. Was $18.95, now $8.99. Baby girl might want to match big sis, so you could get her one of the same pairs of leggings too, which would look very cute in a family photo. Was $15.95, now $9.

Expect to spend $100 to get yourself free shipping. That’s 11 $9 items!

NCIX: Sennheiser Headphones As Low As $35

NCIX: Sennheiser Headphones As Low As $35

NCIX is having a kick-butt sale on Sennheiser headphones, with up to 60% off a number of styles of headphones.

I know very little about headphones because if I wore them, I couldn’t hear my kids, which some days could be a good things, but on others, who knows what could happen! But, as an audio lover, had I a need for wearing headphones, I’d want really great quality ones. I do wear them to the gym, so this sale is of interest. What I’d really like is some headphones for my kids. I’m tired of listening to the incredibly dull commentary on the YouTube videos they watch of people playing video games. I think I’d rather listen to Don Cherry.

I did check out Sennheiser’s site and found that they are in the pursuit perfect sound and that many artists like P!nk, who I am listening to right now, use their technologies. That says something.

I’ll let you choose the type of headphones you’d like, but check out just a few that are on sale like:

As you can see, these are substantial savings. Shipping depends on which items you choose, because some also offer free express shipping. That gives you an incentive to get one item over another.

WagJag Canada: 1 Year Chatelaine Subscription, $10 Chapters Gift Card & Tote for $25

Posted by on April 19, 2014 at 10:00 AM

WagJag Canada: 1 Year Chatelaine Subscription, $10 Chapters Gift Card & Tote for $25

I always love a good magazine deal at WagJag but this one is a really great one. You can get a one year Chatelaine subscription, a free spring tote and a free $10 gift card to Chapters Indigo for just $25.

The free $10 Chapters Indigo gift card has no expiry date on it so you can save it for whenever you want to use it.  The Spring tote is a pretty pink striped tote that would be perfect for the beach.  Lastly, the 1 year Chatelaine subscription is both in print and digital so you can read your issues anywhere you want to!  The value of this entire deal is $50 so you will be saving a whopping 50% through WagJag Canada.

If you are unfamiliar with Chatelaine, you will get 12 issues in total over the year.  It offers fresh & modern recipes, entertaining ideas and menu planning tips, fun home projects and simple cluster-busting solutions and has a ton of fashion advice for women. It is a well rounded woman magazine.

You will have until May 17th 2014 to use this voucher and you buy one for yourself or as many as you would like for gifts. Something like this would make a perfect Mother’s Day gift. It looks like you spent so much money but it was just $25.

Additionally, you will also get free shipping and the taxes are included so there will be no hidden fees or costs added on.

It doesn’t say how long it will take for your first issue to be delivered but it is usually 4-8 weeks after you redeem your voucher and the deal expires.

Buffalo Jeans: 20% Off All Regular Priced Items & An Additional 50% Off Sale Items

Posted by on April 19, 2014 at 9:30 AM

Buffalo Jeans: 20% Off All Regular Priced Items & An Additional 50% Off Sale Items

Buffalo Jeans has a great Customer Appreciation deal on right now that will save you on everything site wide.  You will be able to save 20% on all regular priced items or save an additional 50% on all sale items.

There is no need for a coupon code to get this Customer Appreciation deal.  It will be automatic at the checkout whether you shop online or in stores.

Since you save an additional 50% on the lowest ticketed sale price, I would start with the sales personally.

In both sale sections, you will find items as low as just $19.99. I found this women’s DIDI top that was $29 and is now $19.99.  With the additional 50% off at the checkout, the price drops to just $9.99. That is a crazy deal! I also like this Karina black dress that was $89 and is now $59.99.  Once you add it to your cart and get the additional savings, the price ends up being just $29.99.  Not a bad deal at all for a cute little black dress!

For the men, check out these Evan jeans that were $129 and are now on sale for $69.99.  You will get that additional 50% off your price at the checkout bringing this price down to just $34.99. You really can’t beat a price like that for a pair of Buffalo jeans.

You will be able to get free shipping for all orders of $99 or more.

Bobbi Brown Coupon Code: Free Gift with Purchase & Free Shipping

Bobbi Brown Coupon Code: Free Gift with Purchase & Free Shipping

There is a new coupon code for Bobbi Brown that will get you not only a free gift but free shipping as well.  Get a free smokey eye mascara and free shipping with every order.

Click here to shop @ Bobbibrowncosmetics.com now

  • Coupon Code: STANDOUT
  • Discount: Free Gift
  • Expiry: 25th April 2014

There is no minimum charge to get this deal so you can spend as little or as much as you would like and still get both deals. I like that this coupon code gets you free shipping as well, so you don’t have to spend the $75 on your order it would normally take you to get it.

I have not used a lot of the Bobbi Brown line of cosmetics personally but this would be the time to try them since I would get a free gift and free shipping. I have been wanting to try their foundation because I have heard so many people talk about how great it is. All of their foundations are SPF 15-35 so they are perfect for spring and summer with the hot sun.

Another item I have been wanting to try is their long wear cream shadow stick that is $33.  There are nine different shades to choose from so they do have a good variety.

Additionally, you will also get a free surprise sample with your purchase. This is a limited time offer so it could end at any time.

This and all other Bobbi Brown coupons will be posted on the Bargainmoose coupon forum.

Shoe Company: Free Shipping On All Footwear

Shoe Company: Free Shipping On All Footwear

Until the end of the long holiday weekend, Shoe Company wants you to still be able to shop, even with the stores closed. They are offering free shipping on all orders with no minimum. You’d normally have to spend $70 to get free shipping.

Click here to shop @ Theshoecompany.com now

With three boys I often hand down clothing and shoes to my younger kids. It works well with the clothing, but not as well with the shoes, which get worn out very quickly. Some pairs are grown out of fast so they don’t get worn out and I can pass them down, but to my surprise, when I went to find some shoes for my boys now that the boots are off, there wasn’t one pair in the sizes they are now. So, off to shop this sale at Shoe Company I go to get my boys some Spring shoes!

I headed over to the sale section, which conveniently lets you search by price if you’d like and found these Wilson rogue lite velcro boys preschool shoes. Regularly $40, they are half the price now at only $20.39.

For my hubby who doesn’t own a pair of sandals (seriously!), I found these very inexpensive SC Quiksilver cush thongs. They were $25.99, now $15.59, saving $10.

For more stores that ship for free all the time, you need to take a look at our free shipping page.

Lacoste Canada Coupon Code: $20 Off $100+

Posted by on April 19, 2014 at 8:00 AM

Lacoste Canada Coupon Code: $20 Off $100+

To celebrate the Easter holiday weekend, Lacoste Canada has a great coupon code out for just a few short days.  Get $20 off all orders of $100 or more this weekend only.

Click here to shop @ Shoplacoste.ca now

  • Coupon Code: EASTERCROC
  • Discount: $20 Off $100+
  • Expiry: 21st April 2014

Lacoste Canada had a free shipping coupon last weekend but it is very unusual for them to put out a coupon code for a monetary amount off your purchase so this is a great one to take advantage of.

You can use this coupon on any of your purchases including both sale items and regular priced items.  Right now, you will be able to save up to 65% on sale items from all sections.

I love the kids clothes they have to offer but they are a bit out of my budget.  A sale paired with a coupon like this is the only time I would actually grab something for my boys.

How cute is this 80th anniversary polo boys shirt that was $60 and is now just $30. For myself, I love this long sleeve sailor dress that was $195 and is now $87.75.  I would never pay the full price but the sale price is much more reasonable. If I were to get both items, I would be over that $100 minimum so I would get an additional $20 off the order at the checkout with the coupon.

As for the cost of shipping, you will get free shipping on all orders of $150 or more. Additionally, if you want your purchases right away, you can actually get same day shipping which is pretty rare.

You will find this Lacoste Canada coupon and any others posted up on the Bargainmoose coupon forum.

Yves Rocher Canada Coupons: $10 Discount, Freebie Or Free Shipping Offer

Yves Rocher Canada Coupons: $10 Discount, Freebie Or Free Shipping Offer

Just in time for the long Easter week-end, Yves Rocher has released three awesome codes, each for a different promotion. Pick the one you prefer and you can either get free shipping on orders over $20, a freebie on orders totalling $15 or more, or if you shop for over $40, then you can use it to get a $10 discount along with free shipping.

Click here to shop @ YvesRocher.ca now

  • Coupon Code: EGG1
  • Discount: $10 off orders $40+
  • Coupon Code: EGG2
  • Discount: free Cocoa & Orange beauty oil on orders $15+
  • Coupon Code: EGG3
  • Discount: free shipping on orders $20+
  • Expiry: 21st April 2014

Personally, the Yves Rocher coupon code that I would prefer to redeem is definitely the first one as it offers a 10% discount and free shipping. Sure, you need to shop for over $40 but that’s a super easy threshold to achieve, especially since it means you will be saving up to 25% off your order!

Lately, I have been looking for a nail strengthener because in the past couple of months, I have really let my nail care routine slip and it has gotten to the point that my nails are very shorts and brittle. Already available at a discounted price of $7 (reg. $12), the Yves Rocher nail strengthener is a product that I’m definitely looking into trying as the cocoa butter in it is said to fortify nails. In fact, here’s what one reviewer had to say about it:

I bought this on a whim hoping to find something to help my nails. I was surprised at how well it works, as I’ve tried similar products in the past with little result. This really did help strengthen my nails as well as moisturize my cuticles and it is very easy to use.

Be sure to also check out Yves Rocher’s gift section because if it’s your first time placing an order, then you can choose to add a free gift from the following options: a free super soft bathrobe, a free kit of 3 minis, a free Plaisirs Nature shower gel duo or you can plant 3 trees. Alternatively, if you shop for over $45, then you can also pick to get a free pashmina-style shawl instead.

On a regular basis, Yves Rocher ships all orders over $35 for free.

Dynamite Canada Coupon: 30% Off All Regularly-Priced Items + Free Shipping

Dynamite Canada Coupon: 30% Off All Regularly Priced Items + Free Shipping

Hurry on over to Dynamite because you can use the code below to get a 30% discount on all regularly-priced merchandise.

Click here to shop the Easter Sale @ Dynamite.ca

  • Coupon Code: DYN30
  • Discount: 30% off regular prices
  • Expiry: 21st April 2014

Sadly, this Dynamite promo code doesn’t stack with the 25% discount already available site wide on orders over $75 but it is, however, better to use it if you’re shopping for regularly priced clothing and if your order total is under $75 since it can be applied to all purchases.

The short printed romper, which you can get for $31.43 (reg. $44.90), is the one that particularly caught my attention because it’s absolutely perfect for the summer weather. Since it’s not a dress but rather a combination of a shirt and shorts, there is no fear of the wind exposing anything private!

The faux leather blazer with rib inserts is also one that I would love to add to my wardrobe as it could add an effortless chic element to just about any outfit, whether for the day or night time. Originally priced at $49.90, it comes down to $34.93 and is available in a burro colour (light brown).

Even better is that for a limited time, Dynamite is also offering absolutely free shipping on all orders with no required minimum purchase!

How To Be a Frugal Wedding Guest

Posted by on April 18, 2014 at 8:00 PM

How To Be a Frugal Wedding Guest

With Spring and Summer comes nuptials. May is actually the month that most people get married in, what with all the beautiful flowers and colours and baby animals. You might be invited to a wedding this season and are stressing about it because it just might not be in your budget. I have a wedding this Summer that I’m looking forward to because I absolutely adore weddings, but I’m more stressing about childcare since one half of our family will be at the wedding. Childcare could also be another budget woe for you when it comes to wedding. So, how can you attend a wedding and not break the bank? I’ll tell you how.

Gift

As soon as you are invited to a wedding, the first thing on your mind might be a gift. Weddings are expensive for everyone, and while I don’t think anyone ever should expect a gift (and certainly not these bridezillas), it is good etiquette to give the new couple a gift, even if you don’t believe the marriage will ever last. Many people like to give money, especially if the couple is young and is just starting their life and would like to buy a house or have a nice honeymoon. If you aren’t sure what to give, check out this handy dandy calculator.

Moneysense suggests that if you know you have a wedding in your future, begin budgeting ahead of time. If you don’t have or want to give money, there are gifts you can give that are inexpensive, but thoughtful. Is there a service you can provide for the bride and groom that would go farther than any expensive gift? For example, as a writer I could write something beautiful for the wedding. A person with a lovely voice could sing at the reception. A floral arranger could do the bouquets. These services don’t have to be for the wedding either. A person who is a fantastic cook could offer to cook the bride and groom one special meal a month for the first year. If the couple has kids, offers of babysitting go a long way.

Alternatively, guests could make something special like pottery, artwork or more. Check out this Pinterest page with lots of great ideas for DIY wedding gifts.

Attire

Going to a wedding usually (but not always) means dressing formally. I don’t know how many women I’ve heard complain that they don’t have anything to wear to an upcoming wedding. I know I don’t have anything for the wedding we have coming up, so I need to figure out what to do. First, check your closet and figure out if you really don’t have anything. Just because a dress is ten years old doesn’t mean it won’t do perfectly. Some classics never go out of style (as long as they still fit). If you’ve worn a dress one too many times, try dressing it up a little more with showpiece jewellery or a scarf or a great pair of shoes. If you really feel like there is nothing in your closet, ask a friend. Even if your friend is not your size, I bet they could have some gems in there saved from a bigger or smaller time in their life. This is exactly what I did two years ago for a friend’s wedding. If all these are a no-go, consider wearing some classic dress pants and a top and doing your hair in a beautiful up-do that will be the star of the show, not your clothing. Pinterest also has some great ideas for up-dos.

Lodging

If your wedding is out of town or far enough away that you don’t want to drive home, you’ll need lodging, which could be expensive. I’ve found that hotels on sites like Hotels.com or Orbitz paired with coupon codes are really the best deal. Many times as well, the bride and groom will reserve a block of rooms somewhere at a discounted rate. Talk to them or someone else involved in the wedding if this is an option.

Showers & Other Parties

A wedding doesn’t just stop at the day of the wedding, there are usually a number of parties beforehand and some after that guests will be invited to attend. The shower, the stag, the buck and doe are all huge money-dwindlers that will leave you crying. Although all of these could be fun, opt to attend only one instead of all to save money. You could use the tips above for shower gifts, which shouldn’t be a huge cost anyway. If you really want to attend the bachelor or bachelorette parties (and why not, they are my favourite part!), opt to eat or drink before you go so you don’t spend a lot of money out on the town. Instead of spending a bunch of money at the buck and doe, sell as many tickets as you can for the event, knowing you contributed that way instead.

If you get a wedding invite and you really can’t afford to go, don’t go. Send a gift when you have the money at some point in the future. If the bride and groom are truly your friends, they will understand.

Bargainmoosers, what are your tips for not spending a lot this wedding season?

Best Buy: The Eddie Bauer Pilot Stroller Travel System is $199.99 ($130 Off)

Posted by on April 18, 2014 at 7:30 PM

Best Buy: The Eddie Bauer Pilot Stroller Travel System is $199.99 ($130 Off)

You can pick up the Eddie Bauer Pilot Travel System (car seat and stroller) from Best Buy for $199.99 through April 19.

If you’re in the market for a new infant car seat and stroller, the Eddie Bauer Pilot Travel System at Best Buy is definitely worth checking out. This travel system normally sells for $329.99 but is $130 off right now. I did a little price checking and discovered that this is a pretty hot deal, since the same system currently sells for $369.99 at Sears, $329.99 at Babies R Us, and a whopping $393.96 at Amazon.ca. Almost makes me wish I had another baby on the way so I could justify buying one. Almost.

Back when I did need a stroller, I didn’t purchase a travel system, but wished I had. The convenience of being able to take your sleeping baby right from the car and into the stroller without unstrapping and waking him/her is a real plus. I also really like the look of this stroller. With it’s oval shape and modern colour scheme it has some of the flair of the higher-end stroller systems, but without the higher-end prices.

The sun canopy, multi-position recline, and lightweight frame are also handy features in a stroller. Particularly the lightweight frame, I used to walk everywhere with my son when he was in a stroller, and once I added a diaper bag and groceries I was grateful I hadn’t chosen a large heavy model (especially when he started to get bigger and heavier, as we live at the top of a large hill!).

Quantities are limited on this item and the discounted price is only available through April 19, so best to shop soon if you’re interested.

This item will ship for free.

Living near Toronto and growing up there, most of my friends are Leafs fans. Unfortunately for them, even with their wishful and hopeful attitudes, the Leafs haven’t won the Stanley Cup I think since before I was born. In fact, the ad for this promo has some disappointed Leafs fans in it. I guess everyone just knows it won’t happen even before it starts. But, with the very loyal fan base, I’m sure that Leafs fans will want to buy Leafs gear at 20% off rather than getting a winning team’s jersey for 15% off. In fact, I have a friend who decks his entire family out in Leafs gear, all the way down to the babies and the grandparents. Love it!

Did you know you can also customize your jerseys and gear from Ice Jerseys. I think that’s so cool, it almost makes me want to like hockey (almost). This women’s premier replica alternate jersey for – you guessed it – the Toronto Maple Leafs was $99, but with coupon, you’ll get it for only $79.

My kids tell me Boston is the best team in the universe, although my one son only says this because it rhymes with his name. Either way, I do love the city of Boston, so how cute would any baby be in this Boston Bruins baby tweedle creeper, pant and hat set? Because they are still in it, you’ll have to use the 15% off coupon, but instead of paying $25, you’ll pay $21.75.

Spend $85 and you’ll also enjoy free shipping with your sports wear. To see these coupons live and up close, visit the Ice Jerseys page in our coupon forum.
