Bargain Moose

Bargainmooser Shiela has dropped me a line with some information about her local People’s Drugs and Shoppers Drug Mart. She believes it is a nationwide phenomenon, so it’s worth sharing with you guys, so you can keep your eyes out for some bargains! Here’s the tip:

HERE, in Victoria BC Canada @ London Drugs (Yates Street) AND Peoples Drugs (Fairfield Street) I’ve found that when a shelf is extremely over stocked, due to their error in ordering (I mean bulging over left & right into sides), within either the same day or 2-3, if items have not moved within the desired time, both these Drugstores pull one of their ‘Unadvertised Sales’ – no outside signs, or end of aisle signs, nothing…

(They both call them ‘sales’ not ‘specials’ too…)

Just a ‘sale price’ sign, same colour as all others…

AND, prices are far FAR lower than most sales…

E.g.

• (Your name sake) ANNA cookie pack regular price $1.69 each… reduced to $1.39 FOR TWO packs
• DANISH ORCHARDS jam regular price $2.99 each… reduced to $1.69 FOR TWO JARS

(BOTH @ London Drugs)

• SAUVE shampoo regular price 2.99 each… (no longer available)  but reduced to $0.99 EACH
• SUNLIGHT dish soap 500ml regular price $1.29 each… reduced to $0.99 EACH too !

(BOTH @ Peoples Drugs)
