Get $10 For NOT Shopping at Walmart!?

You've all heard that Walmart no longer accepts Visa as payment as of last month - right? So now, Visa is offering cardholders in Manitoba a $10 grocery bill rebate if they shop anywhere but Walmart. So get your shopping pants on, because this could spread Canada-wide in no time flat.

Manitoba residents can already take advantage of this offer, while the rest of us hold on tight and wait for the ride to come our way. Manitoba residents can click here to receive their credit. You will get a $10 rebate on grocery bills over $50 as long as you shop at the participating stores - which seems to be everything except Walmart. You have until November 15th to do this and you will receive your credit within 15 days.

What does that mean for the rest of Canada? Previously they ran an offer to get a $25 credit for every $75 grocery purchase in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Let's hope similar offers come Canada wide!

Aww, too bad this is only offered in Manitoba right now. That province choice seems random. I shop there, often online and occassionally in-store, a lot even more recently, but I'd definitely shop elsewhere with incentives. VISA is still accepted online and in-store in B.C. Does anyone know when that changes here?
