Last Christmas, I got my 7 year old nephew one of these Perplexus Puzzles (they’re $24.95 or $21.21 with the coupon code). The Perplexus Puzzle is a complicated maze inside a Perspex sphere, and you have to guide a little ball bearing from the start to the finish. When he unwrapped it, he wasn’t quite sure what to make of it. But after a couple of weeks, I heard reports from my sister that my nephew would sit for about an hour, playing with the toy. Something that isn’t an electronic device that can keep a 7 year old occupied for an hour – priceless!
