Comixology.com: Dungeons & Dragons Comics for 50% Off! Fantasy Nerds Beware!

I always thought I’d go broke buying gadgets, computers and video games. Turns out my downfall might be comics. Comics on a computing gadget that I use to play video games, but still…

I think I’m addicted to comics. A couple of days ago I bought the full run of Madame Mirage because it looked pretty cool. At 99 cents a comic, no big deal. But I also bought the whole volume of Aphrodite IX for $3. Doesn’t seem like a big deal, right? Well, I’m not even a little bit interested in Aphrodite IX, I just tapped the buy button and along I went. *sigh*

This sale will be different though. I will resist this one! It”s a bunch of really awesome looking Dungeons and Dragons themed comics. There are two series and a special.

    • Dungeons & Dragons – Now $0.99/issue orĀ $4.99/collected edition
    • Dungeons & Dragons: Drizzt – Now $0.99/issue
    • Dungeons & Dragons: 100 Page Spectacular – Now $1.99

These are all 50% off their original prices.

Drizzt! Seriously!! A Drizzt comic!? That’ so awesome. I remember reading Drizzt books when I was in middle school and high school. I think any self respecting fantasy nerd has to have read some Drizzt stuff. At least servant of the shard? Oh dear. I may have just talked myself into buying the five Drizzt comics; You see what I do for you people? I’m putting my money in moral danger every time I write up an awesome deal like this.

The art in these comics really caught my eye. I’ve been reading a lot of smaller comics, not independent per se but not Marvel and DC. They seem to be grittier and less capes-and-tights sort of things, and the art follows suit. This art seems a bit more poppy and clean. I don’t know if that makes any sense but go check out the previews yourself and see what I mean.
