82% Off Via Rail Canada 19″ Luggage was $150 | Now $28 @ Sears Canada (EXPIRED)

82% Off Via Rail Canada 19 Luggage was $150 | Now $28 @ Sears Canada (EXPIRED)

Via Rail Canada makes good quality luggage for a fair price and I am delighted to bring you this deal on their Via Rail Canada 19″ Expandable Upright. Originally $149.99, this piece of luggage is now on sale for $37.49. Use coupon code 941612464 for an extra $10 off of $25, thus bringing your cost down to just $27.49. Sears Canada offers free shipping to over 1300 Sears Stores and Sears Outlet locations.

Carry-on luggage is a big ticket item since the airlines here in Canada started charging extra for any checked luggage on domestic flights. When this change occurred, I invested in a piece of carry-on luggage rather than pay $15 each way to check my luggage. In one domestic flight, you entirely recover the cost of this carry-on piece of luggage. Read the rest of this entry »

West Jet: Canada to England from $199 One Way (EXPIRED)

West Jet Canada now flies to Gatwick Airport in London, England! They are offering one-way flights from $199 including taxes depending on where you live in the country. For example, Toronto to London is just $249 including taxes.

While we do not normally do such individual flight deals here on Bargainmoose, London is a huge destination for Canadians as it was our ‘motherland’, and we still have the Queen as a figure head in Canadian politics (represented by the Governor General). In addition, a lot of Canadians are ex-pats from England. Given how amazing this deal is, I just could not resist mentioning it to my lovely Moosers!

Now, price depends upon where you live in Canada. Here is a breakdown of the deal from major cities in Canada that West Jet is providing this service to: Read the rest of this entry »

Luggage is only worth buying when it goes on sale, therefore I like to share hot luggage deals with you when I can. My favourite deal of the sale is on the Heys Karim Rashid 21″ Supernova Upright Spinner. Originally $246.99, this Heys luggage is now on sale for $86.44. Travel Zoo Canada: 50% Off Medieval Times Tickets

Posted by on July 9, 2015 at 10:30 AM

Travel Zoo Canada: 50% Off Medieval Times Tickets

If you are going to be visiting Toronto this summer, one show you shouldn’t miss is Medieval Times. I say this having never gone but having heard rave reviews from friends. With this hot deal, I’m considering buying tickets for my son’s 8th birthday as he would absolutely love to go to this! Regularly $79 for one adult ticket, you can get the ticket (which includes your dinner) for only $40 at Travel Zoo.

Children’s tickets are also discounted, regularly $55.93 and now only $29.50. With these discounted tickets you get the show, along with a four-course dinner, which includes:

  • tomato bisque
  • garlic bread
  • oven-roasted chicken
  • sweet buttered corn
  • potato
  • pastry of the castle
  • two non-alcoholic drinks

If you want to treat yourself like royalty, there are special Royalty tickets that includes all of the above plus:

  • VIP seating
  • a commemorative program
  • knight’s cheering banner
  • Behind the Scenes DVD for your party

Once you’ve bought your tickets through Travel Zoo, you’ll have to call to confirm your reservation. You can see a complete calendar with show dates and times before you purchase. It looks like there are lots of shows available even though 1,000 vouchers have been purchased from Travel Zoo.

While perusing the Medieval Times site, I noticed that you can join the birthday fellowship to get a free admission on your birthday. This means I can buy one less ticket and take my son for free on his birthday and the total I’d pay for the rest of us would be $140 for all five of us to go and get dinner. I usually spend about $100 on dinner out with the kids and we don’t get anything even close to as fun as this.

The tickets are good until September 7th. If you have guests coming to Toronto from out of town, this would be a fantastic way to treat them. The reviews on Travel Zoo say that 98% of reviewers enjoyed Medieval Times and I’d say that is pretty glowing.

Flights From Toronto To Dublin Now $338 Roundtrip @ Flight Hub

Flights From Toronto To Dublin Now $338 Roundtrip @ Flight Hub

Ireland sounds like a lovely vacation doesn’t it? Right now, you can grab round trip tickets from Toronto to Dublin, Ireland for as low as $338. Flight options are available between September 2015 and April 2016.

Flight deals are always a little tricky, as they are a bit personal. What day you are leaving, what day you are coming home and how many layovers all factor into how much you will pay for your flight. Right now, if you head over to Flight Hub you can pay as low as $338 for a round trip ticket to Dublin, Ireland including fees, in Canadian dollars. The deals seem to be popping up for the airlines US Airways and Iberia. Many of the best discounts on these flights seem to have a layover at the airport in Philadelphia or Chicago. Make sure to let the website find all of the available flights before you close the window. The best deals pop up at the end.

Book tickets for only $389 including taxes and fees. The following dates are examples of flights at this price:

Book tickets for only $410 including taxes and fees. The following dates are examples of flights at this price:

As you are searching, Flight Hub automatically will give you an alert if there is a cheaper price close to your planned departure or return date. This can come in handy of your dates are a bit flexible. Since flights dates and times are personal, you may have to play around with your departure and return date to get the best deal for your schedule.

Here is an example screenshot of the checkout for the March 29th to April 7th flight.

Flights From Toronto To Dublin Now $338 Roundtrip @ Flight Hub

If you price compare the other airlines on Flight Hub, you can see you are getting a hot deal through Iberia and United Airways. For example, the next cheapest flight for March 29th to April 7th is $569 through United Airways and Finnair. Most flights are sitting at $744. If you go to American Airlines directly to book, the lowest price for March 29th to April 7th is $966.

I like Flight Hub because all the taxes and fees are included upfront and they charge in Canadian dollars, making it easy to price compare. If you want a flight, I would book quickly as I have already seen the prices fluctuate while I was writing this post!

EXCLUSIVE: Jetsetter Coupon Code: $25 Off Any Booking, $50 off 2 Nights or More!

EXCLUSIVE: Jetsetter Coupon Code: $25 Off Any Booking, $50 off 2 Nights or More!

Anyone fancy a mini-break? If you want to get away for a day or two, then this coupon code might come in handy. We’ve set up an exclusive promo code with luxury hotel provider for a bit of a discount on your booking. The discount has two options – make any booking whatsoever (even if it’s only for one night) and you get a $25 reduction. Make a booking of two nights or more and you get a $50 discount. Here are the details:

Click here to use the Jetsetter coupon code online now

  • Coupon Code: JETMOOSE
  • Discount: $25 off any booking, $50 off 2 or more nights
  • Expires: 9th June 2015

NOTE: You must be logged in to your account in order to apply a promo code. You can see this in the screenshot below:

EXCLUSIVE: Jetsetter Coupon Code: $25 Off Any Booking, $50 off 2 Nights or More!

You only see the “redeem code” button when you are signed in and going through checkout.

With the value of this coupon code, it makes the most sense to use it for short bookings, as that maximises your overall percentage discount. There’s an alternative coupon code on our coupon page for a 5% discount on any order (SUMMERFUN5) – it makes more sense to use this if your order totals $1000 or more. The percentage discount of 5% would be a higher discount value than the $50. Use the percentage code for larger orders and our exclusive code for smaller ones.

To test that our exclusive Jetsetter coupon code was working OK, I searched for a single night’s hotel stay in Toronto. The Gladstone Hotel was $193, and the coupon code brought the price down to $168 plus taxes. You can see the discount amount as you go through checkout.

The Jetsetter website isn’t a portal that budget travellers would want to visit. Jetsetter caters to the more luxury hotel seeker, with some picturesque and amazing destinations on there. If I could have my pick of any hotel on there just now, with no budget constraints whatsoever, it would probably be something like the One&Only Royal Mirage in Dubai. Just look at the sumptuousness of the décor!

Get a Free Dining Plan @ Disney World On Select Dates

Posted by on May 20, 2015 at 3:30 PM

Get a Free Dining Plan @ Disney World On Select Dates

Planning on visiting Disney World or feeling like you need a deal to do so? Disney has a really great deal on that might have you wanting to book that flight! If you book a 6 night/ 7 day undiscounted package, including room and tickets, you’ll be rewarded with a free dining plan! Basically you’ll pay for lodging and fun and Disney will pay for the food.

I am totally craving going to Disney World. I want to take my kids before they get too much older, although I know Disney World is fun for all ages. My husband is not huge on crowds so he’s been giving me the push back on that type of trip, but did promise the next family trip would be some kind of family fun and I know my kids would pick Disney.

Depending on the level of hotel you choose, that will determine what sort of free meal plan you will get. So for example, if you want to do this as inexpensively as possible and choose a Disney Value Resort, you’ll get the quick service meal plan free. Quick service is the fast food type option, but there are so many restaurants to choose from. If you choose from either the moderate, deluxe or deluxe villa restaurants, you’ll get the regular dining plan. You can find more about dining plans here.

I don’t have a set amount on what each dining plan is worth, as it looks like they sort of include them with buying your tickets and such, but if you can imagine what it will cost your family of however many to eat each day at restaurants, you know it will add up! Not having to worry about paying for food when you are trying to have fun is definitely worth its weight in dollars!

There are select dates that this deal is valid for, which include most dates from August until December 21st. I would also assume this time of year is a slower time for Disney with most people wanting to get into the swing of the new school year and being super busy before Christmas.

Toronto/Iceland/Amsterdam ~ $600 Return @ (Sep/Oct 2015, Includes All Fees!) * HOT *

Posted by on April 5, 2015 at 2:48 PM

Some of us love to travel. But travelling can be very pricey, especially when you have European destinations in mind. We’ve just spotted an amazing deal for some European flights via Iceland’s national airline, Icelandair. This fall, you can book a flight from Toronto, to Amsterdam in the Netherlands for around $600 return, and this includes a free stopover in Iceland if you wish!

This deal will require a little research on your part, I can only do so much for you, you know. Toronto/Iceland/Amsterdam ~ $600 Return @ (Sep/Oct 2015, Includes All Fees!) * HOT * The travel dates need to be during September and October 2015.

Firstly, use the Google Explore Flights tool here to try and find the lowest air prices on your chosen dates. You can see from the graph below that September flights are very cheap:

Toronto/Iceland/Amsterdam ~ $600 Return @ (Sep/Oct 2015, Includes All Fees!) * HOT *

Then, head back to the Icelandair website and choose some dates, trying to find the cheapest prices for you. But here’s the kicker – Icelandair have a policy that you can have a stopover of up to 7 days, at no extra cost! Make sure you click on the “Stopover/Return from another city” checkbox when you are searching on the Icelandair site, and put in your chosen airports and dates. Here’s a sample search which I performed, showing you a flight in September from Toronto to Reykjavik for a few days, then on to Amsterdam and home to Toronto again.

Toronto/Iceland/Amsterdam ~ $600 Return @ (Sep/Oct 2015, Includes All Fees!) * HOT *

The total price was only $603 including all taxes, fees and charges – this is an amazing price for a flight to Europe, never mind the free stopover in Iceland! If you are interested, I would highly recommend getting your booking in as soon as possible. The deal will only be available as long as there are free seats on the Icelandair flights, so get in there!

When I first came across this deal, I was using Firefox, my default browser of choice. However, I was having troubles getting the locations and dates to load on the flight search page, so I switched over to Opera. You may have to do the same if you’re having any trouble.

I’ve been to both Iceland and the Netherlands, so I found this deal extremely interesting. See the Icelandic spa in the picture below? I’ve been there and it was AMAZING! Please let me know in the comments below if you make a booking!

March 5 Coupon Code: $30 Off $250 Stay

Posted by on March 5, 2015 at 8:30 PM Coupon Code: $30 Off $250 Stay

Are you planning a spring vacation over the next couple of months? Use this coupon code for $30 off any stay of $250 or more.

Click here to shop hotels @ now

  • Coupon Code: AFMARSAVE30C
  • Discount: $30 off $250
  • Expiry: 8th March 2015

The coupon code excludes select hotels (I have no idea which ones) and is valid for travel through the 12 of April 2015. There appears to be no blackout dates that I could find. If you are booking a more expensive trip, then use coupon code MARCHBRK35 for $35 off $350 or more. This coupon is also valid a bit longer than the above coupon and covers vacations into May. When considering percentage, the $30 off $250 coupon is better value and that is why I am focusing on it.

Booking your hotel through has several advantages. First, you use the nice coupon above to receive a better deal on your stay. Secondly, you sign up for the Welcome Rewards program. Stay 10 nights across any number of stays and any number of hotels to receive one night free.

Where are you going this spring? Between these dates, I will be in Vancouver twice. The first is for a Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer concert that I am excited about. It is on March 18th. The second event is for the Vancouver Comic Con on the first weekend in April. While I am not planning a hotel stay for the March event, the Comic Convention is long enough that a hotel stay will be required. I do not mind bunking on a friend’s couch for one night but three nights is a bit much.

Some hotels are excluded from this offer – but I do not have a list of which those are. I do know that the coupon is valid on participating Best Price Guarantee hotels. You can use the coupon code on a maximum of five bookings per account. There also may be a limit to the number of coupons that can be redeemed, but that is unclear.

I think this is a nice discount on booking a hotel as it is a bit over 10% and the nights you book with this coupon can still be applied towards your one night free. If you have any great hotel suggestions, please drop us a line!

For this and future coupon codes, visit our forum.

Via Rail Canada: $10 Fares For Kids

Via Rail Canada: $10 Fares For Kids

Thinking of hitting the big city over the March Break? Via Rail has got a fantastic deal if you plan on taking the train. Get kids fares on the Quebec City to Windsor corridor for only $10.

Once you check out Via Rail’s site, you’ll also see some suggestions for adventures. I love that they put together some ideas and I’m totally considering taking part. My kids love trains and none of them have ever been on one except the Toronto subway system, which is less than thrilling really. I think taking a train to a new city that we’ve never been is a fantastic idea for a fun little adventure and I don’t have to drive! I can actually enjoy the trip too.

Via suggests taking the train from Toronto to Ottawa to visit the Canadian Museum of History. Of course, you’ll want to visit the Parliament buildings and all the other great sites to see in Ottawa. For that trip, adults are about $50, so a family of four would make it to Ottawa in less than five hours for a total of $120.

If your child can sit on your lap (under 24 months), they are actually free. This rate is for children aged two to 11.

You’ll need to buy your ticket at least three days in advance for this deal and you can buy from now until March 22nd for travel from February 21st to March 29th. This means you don’t just have to travel on March Break – you have anytime from now until the end of March to get going where you going. This is also an economy fare.

Also, one adult can buy up to five children’s tickets for the $10 price. This means two adults can buy up to 10 children’s tickets. I think this is an ok restriction as who would want to travel alone on a train with more than five kids under twelve? Seems like a breakdown waiting to happen! I’m not that brave, personally.

Expedia Coupon Code: $50 Off $200 For Two Days Only (Expired)

Looking for a getaway? I just got back from one and my answer is still yes. Expedia’s got a great deal on right now that will get you $50 off your $200 hotel booking at most hotels with coupon code.

Click here to book a hotel @ now

  • Coupon Code: FEB48HOUR
  • Discount: $50 off $200
  • Expiry: 19th February 2015

Your getaway doesn’t have to be far away, it could just be in your own city. With March Break approaching, you might be looking for a mini-vacation to the city near your home or going to visit friends and family. We are actually going to visit family in the city we previously lived in over the March Break. I think its important for cousins to stay in touch and my kids love hanging with their cousins. I want somewhere with a pool, so the kids can visit us at the hotel and everyone can have somewhere to hang out. We may also do a trip to Toronto go to the aquarium or the science centre. If the weather is good, we might even hit up the Toronto Zoo!

I have to tell you, there are a ton of exclusions for this coupon, but those are generally what I see with Expedia or other travel agency coupons.

Expedia Coupon Code: $50 Off $200 For Two Days Only (Expired)

An even better way to take advantage of this coupon is to combine it with Expedia’s 48 hour sale also going on, or one of their daily deals. I searched for a Toronto hotel for March Break and the Old Mill hotel came up. This is a hotel that I’ve heard rave reviews about and would love to take a night to myself with the husband to go there. I did search with kids included, so maybe they could come too. It is not a cheap hotel regularly, but with a 96% approval rating, I think it may have earned its price. Regularly $409 a night, it is on sale for $327. Once I added the coupon code it came down to $277.20 plus taxes and fees. Twenty people already booked this hotel on Expedia in the last 48 hours, so that tells you what kind of deal this is.

Of course, you can choose from thousands of other cities around the world, and you can also apply this to flight and hotel options as well. Check for all your Expedia coupon codes in the forum before you book any getaway!

Jetsetter Promo Code: 10% Off Hotels In the Caribbean, Mexico & Hawaii

Planning to get away somewhere hot this year or next? JetSetter has a fabulous coupon that will get you an extra 10% off your bookings in the Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii. While 10% doesn’t seem like much, I found vast differences in price compared to other travel sites, making JetSetter the place to book your vacation.

Click here to get out of Canada with now

  • Coupon Code: SUNKISSED10
  • Discount: 10% off
  • Expiry: 6th February 2015

I just got back from my vacation in the South and it was wonderful. We didn’t have a bad day of weather and the temperature hovered around 30 degrees all week. It was a dreamy week of sand and sun with my family. Coming back to the face-hurting cold was super sad and I’m already planning my next vacation in my mind! Hawaii, as you might know from a previous post I did on flights to Hawaii, is definitely on the list of next vacations.

I decided to check out some prices of hotels in Hawaii and found that JetSetter’s price was fantastic.

Take for example the Mauna Lani hotel. I quoted for five nights from February 15th to the 20th in a garden view room. Once I added the coupon code, my price became $2115 total for all the nights. Keep in mind that this is a U.S.-based site so the prices are in USD. I compared it to Expedia where I got a total for the same nights of $3374.20. Even with the exchange rate, that is quite a difference!

Another trip I’d love to take is to take my kids to Atlantis in the Bahamas. I know its going to be expensive, so we need to save our pennies, but I was very happy to see that JetSetter’s price was lower than what I had previously researched elsewhere. After adding the coupon code, the Beach Tower for the same dates as above would cost me $2787.58. At Expedia, it costs $3726.89.

If I haven’t convinced you that you need and can afford a vacation, you might want to check out this video that shows you what Atlantis is all about. It has me convinced!

Before you book any vacation, look to the forum for JetSetter coupon codes.
