Starbucks Canada: Get $5 Free When You Register For a Starbucks Card

If you register for a Starbucks card at Starbucks.com, you’ll get a free $5 on the card. Thanks to Bargainmooser Peter for sending us this great deal!

Use your new Starbucks card to load money, then instantly pay for food and drink at Starbucks. I know many people are Starbucks addicted, so anything free from them is a definite bonus. This card makes it super easy to pay for your Starbucks purchases and you can even use it with your iPhone. You will need to load $5 of your own money on it to get the free $5. This is for new members only until March 14th.

I am not a coffee drinker (even though I have three kids and never sleep, can you believe it?), but I do love me some smoothies. I’d use this card to buy myself an orange mango smoothie and a Petite Vanilla Bean scone. Mmmm…

    Happy Drinking!

East Side Marios Canada: March Break Kids Eat Free

Posted by on March 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM

East Side Marios Canada: March Break Kids Eat Free

There are a ton of March Break specials happening and East Side Marios Canada has a good one.  Kids which are 10 years old and under can eat free the entire week of March Break this year.

Basically the way it will work is that you will get one free Mini Mario’s Meal with a meal purchase of $14.99 or more, or get two free Mini Mario’s Meals with the purchase of two meals at $14.99 or more.

Since each province celebrates March Break at different times in March, you will need to check your local East Side Mario’s for when their promotion is happening.

March Break can get pricey having to plan things for the kids to do, so saving money on dinners is a nice little bonus!

Entertainment Books: Buy Any 2 For $28

Posted by on February 28, 2013 at 7:00 AM

Entertainment Books: Buy Any 2 For $28

The best deal of the year so far is for today only with Entertainment Books.  Buy any two books and they will be just $28 for the pair.

This deal was on last year for $29 for two books so this year the deal got even sweeter.  You will need to pay $1 shipping per book but even with the shipping cost it is still the lowest price of the year.

Depending on where you live, these books can run all the way up to $50 each so if you are someone that lives in a city that sells them for $50, instead of paying $100 for two you will just be paying  just $28.  That means you can save up to 72% off the total cost of these books which is a crazy deal!

They come jammed packed with coupons for various places and events.  You will find coupons for eating out, local attractions, movies, sporting events, clothing, local stores and much much more.  They are really worth it and since this deal requires you buy two, you can give one to a friend as a gift.,  The other option you have is splitting the cost with a friend so that you would each just pay $14 for your own book.  Either way it is a great deal to take advantage of.

Entertainment Book: Now $19.99 + Free Shipping

Entertainment Book: Now $19.99 + Free Shipping

The Entertainment Book is on sale today for only $19.99 + free shipping.

The coupons in the book are still good will November 1, 2013. There are tons of coupons within each book, ranging from dry cleaning, food, groceries, hotels, movies, entertainment, and more. My husband and I pick one up every year and even if we only use a few coupons we easily make back the money we spend on the book and save more. These are also great books to have if you are planning a vacation in another city and want to cut down on expenses.

This is, in my opinion, the best promotion – especially for the more expensive books like Calgary and Edmonton. At $45 regular price, you are saving $25 when you get them for just $19.99 with the free shipping. Even better, Vancouver and Frasier Valley are regularly priced at $50. So you save $30 with this promotion.

    BOGO Ice Cream & More!

Posted by on February 18, 2013 at 10:00 AM

    BOGO Ice Cream & More!

Spring is well on its way (even if it doesn’t look that way), and what is better when the hot weather approaches than ice cream? I found a number of great coupons for free and discounted ice cream from different places around Canada.

I think Marble Slab is my most favourite ice cream shop. I love adding my own mixins and love the hand-crafted fresh-daily ice cream. There are so many unique flavours to choose from. Check out this printable coupon for four cones for $12. With this Facebook coupon you get two large and two medium cones, which is a great deal. Did you know you could order ice cream online? Well, you can; If you order a custom to-go litre online, you get up to three mixins free (a value of $2.25).

Dairy Queen was my original favourite since they were the first to have blizzards, which are also totally my favourite. If you sign up for the blizzard fan club, Dairy Queen will mail you buy one, get one free coupons six times a year.

Cold Stone Creamery is becoming a new favourite of mine. I love that I can walk to my local Tim Hortons and get ice cream now. The only problem I have is choosing donuts or ice cream, which means I have a very hard life, obviously. If you sign up for the Cold Stone Creamery email newsletter, you get a coupon for a buy one, get one free Creation. A Creation is basically your choice of ice cream and topping mixed together.

The original 31 flavours also has a great deal. When you sign up for Club 31, you get a buy one, get one free ice cream cone or scoop on your birthday, plus $5 off your cake purchase over $25. You will need ID to redeem your coupon.

Okay, so now I’m off to go get some ice cream, because after looking at all the great websites, I’m hungry!

Ikea Canada: Kids Eat Free This Week For Family Day

Posted by on February 14, 2013 at 7:30 AM

Ikea Canada: Kids Eat Free This Week For Family Day

If you are planning on making a trip to Ikea this weekend, bring the kids with you because they eat free for Family Day.

Going to Ikea is a day excursion for us. I love looking at everything in the store and it can take hours. I usually don’t like taking my kids while I go shopping because they run like banshees through the store, yelling and screaming and jumping on the furniture and slipping on the floors. Ikea is definitely different. They have play areas throughout the store so while you are considering what shelves you need or what kind of cupboard would look best in your kitchen, your kids are actually engaged in something other than pulling on your coat and driving you crazy.

If your child is over 37″ and potty trained, they can go to Smaland, an indoor supervised play place, where you can actually leave them for an hour while you shop. Awesome! Don’t forget to bring socks. I know people who make the trip to Ikea just so the kids can play in Smaland and they can shop or browse in peace.

Once you are done shopping, head over to the restaurant, which has surprising really great food at reasonable prices. I remember having this egg and shrimp dish once that was so cheap, I think it was only $2. They serve hot and cold dishes, including children’s specials, and always having something  as an organic and a vegetarian option. You get free refills on coffee, tea and soft drinks and free baby food with your adult meal purchase! Seriously, how awesome is that? Breakfast is a whopping $1 before 11 m as well. The Swedish meatballs are incredibly popular and the organic chicken and fish deals are less than $10. The organic crepes are so yummy and less than $4! They also have desserts and salads and other great items.

For a limited time from today until the 17th, your kids eat free. It doesn’t say that an adult meal needs to be purchased, but that it is one meal per day per child after 11 am. Children’s meals are regularly $1.99 and include a drink.

I’m seriously considering heading in the vehicle down to Ikea this weekend, putting the kids in the playroom, doing some looking around and then getting them some free meals. I’m actually in the market for a table for the kids to do their homework on for my office and Ikea has some awesome desks and tables, one of which I’m writing on right now.

    See you there!

Starbucks Store Canada: BOGO Whole Bean Coffee

Posted by on February 12, 2013 at 10:00 AM

Starbucks Store Canada: BOGO Whole Bean Coffee

The Starbucks Store Canada is offering a BOGO offer on one-pound whole bean coffee.

I am not a coffee drinker, but every single other person in the world is. People ask me where I get my energy for three kids without having a coffee in the morning and I simply tell them – “I have no freaking idea”. Anyway, for those who do love their morning, or all-day brew, Starbucks can be an obsession. If you love having Starbucks at home, now is the time to stock up with free 1-pound bags of whole beans with the purchase of another.

There are so many different flavours and roasts to choose from.

My husband, who doesn’t particularly love strong coffee, would choose the House Blendwhich is a balanced blend from South America for $15.95. He would go out on a limb and try the Guatemala Antigua, a more complex coffee, also $15.95 and get it for free.

My mother also loves her coffee and even drinks it black, so strong coffees don’t offend her. She’d choose the Gold Coast Blend, which is a big, bold coffee blend for $16.95. I’m sure she’d also love the Caffe Verona, which would remind her of her recent trip to Italy, also $16.95, but she’d get it free.

Get free shipping on orders over $75.

Costco Canada: $84.99 For $100+ Worth Of Restaurant Gift Cards

Posted by on January 20, 2013 at 7:00 PM

Costco Canada: $84.99 For $100+ Worth Of Restaurant Gift Cards

That special Valentine’s Day dinner is approaching and why not do it cheaper? Costco is offering two $50 gift cards for various restaurants in large Canadian cities for only $84.99 or a dinner package worth $112.

Forget the jewelry, teddy bears, lingerie and chocolates, for me the best Valentine’s gift is a nice dinner out (and it does not necessarily have to be on the busiest restaurant day of the year). This is a great deal because you save up to $27, which is probably the cost of a main course. Most of the gift cards are for major Canadian cities including Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, but there are a few smaller cities like Guelph and Niagara Falls included.

With the two $50 gift cards you can even spend as little as you’d like because your balance stays on the card. The cards don’t expire and are transferable since your name is not on them. There are no restrictions on time or date of use, either. The only caveats are that you can’t use them in combination with other coupons or gift certificates and you can’t redeem them for cash.

With the dinner packages, there are varying choices for food, and the certificates expire after one year. You also have to redeem them online before going to the restaurant, and book ahead. Some of the awesome restaurants that I would love to eat at include:

    • 309 Dhaba Indian Excellence in Toronto – critiqued as being “astonishingly good”
    • Provence in Vancouver – fresh local seafood
    • Kinki/Mambo in Ottawa – sushi or salsa
    • Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls – yummy dinner above the falls

Depending on which restaurant you choose, your cards will either be mailed to you in 7-10 business days or you’ll get an e-certificate for printing.

McDonalds Canada: $1 McCafe Every Monday

McDonalds Canada: $1 McCafe Every Monday

McDonalds Canada has a great deal happening right now for all of those coffee lovers out there.  For a limited time only, every Monday you will be able to get a McCafe for just $1.

Every Monday on your way to work, you will be able to enjoy a small McCafe specialty coffee for just $1.  They have been advertising this event on Facebook with no mention of how long they will be doing it.  There are a few locations that are not participating from what I hear but they are advertising as all locations.  The best thing to do is pop in to your local McDonalds and ask, to make sure your location is participating.

Coffee can really add up when you purchase it everyday so even if this is for a limited time only, you will be able to save a lot of money if you are an avid coffee drinker.
