Sign up to Arby’s for a FREE Classic Beef ‘N Cheddar

Sign up to Arbys for a FREE Classic Beef N Cheddar

When you sign-up at Arby’s Canada for the Arby’s Extra Club, you will receive a printable coupon for a free Classic Beef ‘N Cheddar at the delicious franchise.

Your sign-up gives Arby’s permission to email you promotions, events, menu changes, and more. For your gracious subscription to these updates, you will receive one free Classic Beef ‘N Cheddar sandwich along with future discounts on food. This is a delicious burger stacked high with thinly cut beef and oozing with Cheddar Cheese sauce and zesty Red Ranch. I suddenly have a craving for Arby’s!

When you sign up, you will be given a list of restaurants in order to pick out your preferred location! I was planning to have Arby’s tonight for dinner – after a hard day of work – but there is no location near me! The closest location is Kamloops or Coquitlam – both of which are on the mainland. I am very sad. Sign up to Arbys for a FREE Classic Beef N Cheddar

Arby’s says that the offer will show up in your inbox within a few minutes. However, I found that the deal took its sweet time coming in. I suggest signing up as soon as possible. I did receive my coupon – though I cannot use it – as I needed to see the fine print. You need to print the entire email off in order to use the coupon.

The offer expires seven days from send date. It cannot be combined with any other promotions, coupons, or offers. As per usual, it is non-transferable and only valid at participating Arby’s locations.

Ah… Arby’s. It is almost worth traveling to the mainland in order to take advantage of this deal! I think the first time I ate an Arby’s sandwich, I suddenly wondered why people bought burgers all the time. In my opinion, beef is substantially superior! It was at the second food-court in West Edmonton Mall and I used to buy them stacked as high as they would go.

Taco Bell Printable Coupon: Quesarito Combo Meal For 2 – Just $9.99

Posted by on June 28, 2015 at 5:00 PM

Taco Bell Printable Coupon: Quesarito Combo Meal For 2 Just $9.99

Don’t feel like cooking tonight? Then here’s an awesome printable coupon for Taco Bell: print it out to get a Quesarito meal for 2 for just $9.99.

I have to say that I’m actually really surprised that with this printable coupon, you will get two combos for $9.99. I had to read the fine print a couple of times to make sure that I wasn’t reading what I wanted to read but yes indeed, you will get:

  • 2 beef Quesaritos
  • 2 regular fries
  • 2 regular drinks

A meal for 2 for essentially $10 is pretty awesome nowadays. I hardly ever get junk food for this reason but without any printable coupons, you can definitely expect to pay double that price for most meals, if not more!

Trying to find out what’s inside this quesarito proved slightly challenging. Judging by the picture above, I would have guessed that it’s filled with beer, cheese and fries but poking around online, I found a description at TacoBell.com that it’s filled with rice rather than the fries that I seem to see. The Canadian version of Taco Bell’s site hasn’t been updated yet with the new addition, but all it says in reference to it is: “a cheesy quesedilla, wrapped around a beefy burrito” with no mention of any fries or rice.

In any case, this is a minor detail that you can find out in-stores and anyways, do you really need anything other than beef and cheese? Taco Bell Printable Coupon: Quesarito Combo Meal For 2 Just $9.99

I’m particularly intrigued by the fact that it’s a beef burrito wrapped in a cheesy quesadilla. That sounds beyond delicious and I definitely can’t wait to give it a try!

As always, you can find this Taco Bell printable coupon on the Bargainmose forum. In case you didn’t know, you can also subscribe to get the latest coupons straight into your inbox.

(Printable Coupons) A&W Canada: Free Buddy Burger Or Coffee & Hashbrown (With Purchase)

Posted by on June 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM

(Printable Coupons) A&W Canada: Free Buddy Burger Or Coffee & Hashbrown (With Purchase)

Need an excuse to swing by A&W for a meal? Right now, you can grab a few new printable coupons and receive a free Buddy Burger or grab a free coffee and hashbrown for breakfast with purchase.

(You’ll have to sign up on the above site to get the free printable coupons)

I try not to hit the drive-thru very often. I took my daughter to A&W not long ago for her first rootbeer during their last promotion, which Brooke blogged about last month. My daughter liked the lollipop they gave her, but would barely touch the rootbeer. Every time we pass by any A&W now she says “Remember when we went there and had that drink and I had a lolly? Do you remember Mommy?” Even though she has never eaten a meal there, A&W is regularly promoted now from the backseat of my car.

If you are feeling a little hungry, you should keep these printable coupons in your car for your next quick meal. Included are the following discounts and freebies with purchase:

  • Free Buddy Burger with cheese with the purchase of any combo meal
  • Free 12oz. coffee and hashbrown with the purchase of any breakfast sandwich
  • Add an extra patty to a Teen Burger or a Mozza Burger free
  • Upgrade from fries to sweet potato fries on individual purchase or combo meal free

To print these coupons, you must login or signup for a free account. Once you sign in, there is also an option to send a free rootbeer coupon to a friend. My husband loves free rootbeer so I might send one his way. A&W will only let you use one coupon per transaction. You should be able to checkout separately if you go with another person.

The first coupon for the free Buddy Burger could easily feed both my daughter and me for around $9. Most combos cost about $8 to $10 depending on your location, and that free Buddy Burger should save you about $4. Your prices may vary, but I did find some pricing online for a location in Sudbury, Ontario. If you have not tried those sweet potato fries, they are more delicious then the normal fries. I usually make my own homemade orange fries, but I can never get them as crispy in my oven as A&W can crisp them in the fryer!

Free Doughnut Of Your Choice For National Doughnut Day (Friday June 5th) @ Krispy Kreme Canada (EXPIRED)

Posted by on June 4, 2015 at 6:00 PM

Free Doughnut Of Your Choice For National Doughnut Day (Friday June 5th) @ Krispy Kreme Canada (EXPIRED)

Yum! I like doughnuts for a treat, but they taste better when they are free. On Friday June 5th, head over to your local Krispy Kreme for a free doughnut, no purchase necessary.

Krispy Kreme doughnuts are light, fluffy and are beloved by many people. Where I live, the local Costco sometimes sells them in the feature sample spot. They always have warm and fresh free samples, which is the best way to eat a Krispy Kreme doughnut. I share grocery coupons with one of my neighbours, and she made a special trip over to my house to tell me several months ago that Costco was selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts that weekend. I did not prompt her or ask her to look out for doughnuts, she just loves them that much that she wanted to share the doughnut yumminess.

Now you can grab your own doughnut completely free. National Doughnut Day is in honour of the Salvation Army Volunteers. This event commemorates volunteers providing doughnuts to soldiers on the lines during WWI. Free doughnuts is a good way to remember these brave volunteers.

Your free doughnut is not limited to Krispy Kreme’s famous original glazed doughnut according to the Facebook event. You can choose a doughnut in any variety. If you like the glazed doughnuts, I would suggest trying the Maple Glazed Doughnut. My daughter without a doubt would pick the brightly coloured sprinkle doughnut. My husband would pick either the Cinnamon Apple filled doughnut or the Apple Fritter. Your choices may vary based on what is available at your location. You can see all the flavours on the menu at the Krispy Kreme website.

I looked at where the Krispy Kreme’s are located, as I too would enjoy a free doughnut tomorrow. According to the Krispy Kreme website, there are locations in the following places.

Ontario

  • Toronto Downtown (2 locations)
  • Mississauga

Quebec

  • Quebec City
  • Greenfield Park

British-Columbia

  • Delta

This promotion lasts all day. Like most bakeries, you will have the best selection if you head over earlier in the day. I think they bake some of the doughnuts throughout the day, but I would guess most are baked in the morning. Maybe if you are lucky your treat will be waiting there for you warm, just out of the oven. I need to stop blogging about delicious doughnuts now before I go buy one. The freebie is not until tomorrow!

Marble Slab Canada: Printable Coupons for Deals on Your Yummy Ice-Creams & More!

Marble Slab Canada: Printable Coupons for Deals on Your Yummy Ice Creams & More!

If any of you are partial to a treat from the Marble Slab Creamery, then you might want to save a few bucks when shopping there. There are a few printable coupons which are available from now until the end of June, and you should take them with you when you next visit!

With these printable coupons for Marble Slab, you can get discounts on many different things. Here’s a quick breakdown of the offers for you:

  • 2 regular cones for $8
  • 2 small & 2 regular cones for $14
  • 2 ice cream sandwiches for $8
  • 2 sundaes for $10
  • $5 banana split
  • $4 smoothie
  • Free $5 gift card with a $20 spend
  • 3 litres for $20
  • $3 off a 6 pack of ice-cream sandwiches
  • $6 off large or slab cake
  • $24 for a small ice-cream cake
  • $3 off a 6 pack of ice-cream cupcakes

I’m partial to Marble Slab ice-cream myself. Most people think they’re quite over-priced, but I think that their ice-cream is amazing and I sometimes treat myself to one when I am shopping in the mall. I’ve never had their ice-cream cupcakes though, they look good!! Just as an example of their pricing – a 6 pack of ice-cream cupcakes is $21.95 to order online (to go). The above printable coupon would get you a $3 discount on that. OK, that’s not a massive saving – but it’s still $3 in your pocket, rather than in Marble Slab’s!

One time, I was in the line-up at Marble Slab waiting to get served. The customer in front of me had ordered a waffle cone without checking the prices beforehand. She was asked for the amount for the cone which was something just over $5… and the customer was shocked. She actually refused to pay and walked away without her cone! The sales assistant just dumped the ice-cream back in the tub and came to serve me… quite nonplussed. I don’t think that was the first time it had happened to her! East Side Mario’s Coupon: Free Mini Mario Meal

Posted by on May 25, 2015 at 12:30 PM

East Side Marios Coupon: Free Mini Mario Meal

Head into East Side Mario’s this week with this printable coupon and you’ll be able to feed your little rugrats for free. For every meal you buy (with a minimum price of $13.95), you’ll get a free Mario Mini Meal, valued at $5, or $5 off a $10 meal.

This coupon is valid for dine-in only and is not valid on tables with more than 10 children. That means the Duggars are out of luck. For someone like me, with three children, I find that kid’s meals can still be too large for my younger kids, so they share one anyway. I could take my kids out this week and just pay for my husband and I to eat and the kids will eat free.

The kids also have to be 12 and under.

I like taking the kids to East Side Mario’s because I find it loud there, so my kids loud talking, fighting and whining about when the food will come is oblivious to the other diners. There is also quite a bit on the menu that they like, because all of my kids will actually eat pasta.

Mario meals are cool because they include quite a bit:

  • meal
  • drink
  • dessert
  • activity book with crayons
  • toy

While I wouldn’t say their menu is stellar cuisine, there are options on there you know kids will eat, like dino buddies, pogos, pizza, grilled cheese soldiers and more. The dessert is your choice of a brownie or three mini ice cream cones. What I like about the mini ice cream cones is that I can steal one! I’m usually too full for dessert but it gives me that little bit of sweetness after dinner.

The coupon expires on Sunday and usually these coupons will say Sunday to Thursday only, but this one doesn’t. That means you can actually go out on a Friday or Saturday night and get a kids eat free deal. Tuesday all kids meals are already $2, so you might not want to go that night, as that is a great deal in itself as well. They also have some very cool drinks that kids will love and I remember liking going there as a kid because of the drinks. Maybe I still go there for that reason East Side Marios Coupon: Free Mini Mario Meal

East Side Mario’s Promo Code: $10 off Your $40 Online Order

Posted by on May 11, 2015 at 1:30 PM

East Side Marios Promo Code: $10 off Your $40 Online Order

Getting hungry? Time for lunch? Order from East Side Mario’s, pickup or delivery, use the coupon code below and you’ll get $10 off your $40 order. You could order lunch for your co-workers and look like the good guy you are, and they don’t need to know you saved $10 (maybe on your own lunch).

Click here to order your food @ Eastsidemarios.com now

  • Coupon Code: MARIO10
  • Discount: $10 off $40
  • Expiry: Unknown

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve eaten at East Side Mario’s. When I was younger it was always the restaurant of choice because everyone loves their cheese tortellini. I like taking my kids there too, because it is a loud restaurant where my kids aren’t looked down upon. Picking up food from them is also easy, knowing its not McDonalds or something completely processed. Their salad and bread are also the winners for me.

Ordering food online is such a great tool that not enough restaurants use. This way you know that your order is correct and you don’t have the any mistakes. You also know exactly how much it is going to be without having that shock at the end of the phone call with the price. You can eliminate items realizing that your stomach is probably not as big as your eyes.

It doesn’t look like this coupon works in Quebec, but I tried it for both Ontario and B.C. and it gave me the $10 off each time. You could seriously order lunch for four people for less than $40 using this coupon and I tell you, those people will be full. Right now they have a lunch special of a small sized pizza with one topping for $8.99. Extra toppings are only $0.99 if you so choose. So, get two toppings on four pizzas and pay only $30. It also comes with your choice of side, like salad or french fries or soup or garlic homeloaf. That’s a meal in itself.

I even see that you can do half toppings with it just on half the pizza for $0.50. That’s pretty neat!

Bargainmoosers, what is your favourite thing to order from East Side Mario’s?

Get a Free Poutine When You Buy a $25 e-Gift Card @ New York Fries

Posted by on May 5, 2015 at 8:16 AM

Get a Free Poutine When You Buy a $25 e Gift Card @ New York Fries

Why not get Mom what she really wants – french fries! Ok, not all moms eat french fries, but I’m sure they all love them and New York Fries is one of the best. Last month Brooke told you how to sign up for the Fry Society, which is New York Fries free loyalty program. This month, if you sign up, you’ll get all the same great rewards, but if you load a $25 e-card on your Fry Society, you’ll be rewarded with a free poutine!

I’m not completely sure what this poutine is worth and if you can get any of the varying poutines, or just the regular fries, gravy, cheese, but either way, I think it will be all good. It does have to be your first time using the Fry Society for you to get this offer, which is why it makes a great gift. Mom or Dad would appreciate $25 pre-loaded on to a Fry Society account, plus their free poutine. Need a gift for a grad? This would definitely make a great gift for a teenager making his/her way to college because what teenager doesn’t eat fries? None that I know.

When I go to New York Fries, I always get The Works, usually the veggie because it has cheese, sour cream, chives and tomatoes and is so delicious. My kids just love the plain fries with some seasoned salt and malt vinegar on them. My husband likes getting just a fry smothered with cheese sauce. It is only 8am and now I’m craving fries!

Head over to our Facebook page today for your chance to win a $25 e-gift card for New York Fries. Besides that contest, liking us on Facebook will keep you up to date on all the hottest deals. Similarly, if you join the Fry Society, you’ll find out about the latest offers from them in real time too.

KFC Canada: $5 Fill-Ups!

Posted by on May 2, 2015 at 9:00 AM

KFC Canada: $5 Fill Ups!

There are some new meal deals available from KFC Canada just now – there are four options, each for only $5! Read on for all the details:

Click here for the meal deal info @ KFC Canada now

The meal deals to choose from in the fill-ups offer are as follows:

  • 2 pieces of chicken (drumstick & thigh), fries or mash, medium drink & cookie
  • Popcorn chicken, fries or mash, medium drink & cookie
  • 1 piece white meat (rib), fries or mash, medium drink & cookie
  • Chicken bowl, medium drink & cookie

As you can see, they’re pretty good offers for only $5 each… definitely an option for a quick lunch if you’re on the go. OK, they’re obviously not the healthiest options on the planet… but we all crave a little fried chicken sometime.

You can actually order online too, if you feel the need and their checkout process is quite smooth. The standard delivery charge appears to be $5 though, so this simply does not make sense if you are only ordering one of the fill-up meals. However if there are a few of you placing an order and you just need some chicken brought to your door, it could make sense to order online.

Sorry to the Quebecois, this offer does not apply to the KFCs in your province!

There’s a KFC very near to my home which I have to drive by very often, and it always calls out to me! As soon as I see the KFC sign, my brain demands chicken. I’m not a big fan of their popcorn chicken or drumsticks, but I much prefer their boneless items like crispy strips and chicken burgers. I also have memories of when I was a teenager, regarding KFC. My older brother and I would get a 15 piece bucket feast between us and scoff the lot. We didn’t share with anyone else in the house! Looking back now, I realise that was a heck of a lot of fast-food to be eating… but it was fun, eh!?

What’s your favourite chicken from KFC?

Starbucks Canada: Half Off Frappuccinos During Happy Hour (May 1 To May 10)

Posted by on April 30, 2015 at 7:46 AM

Starbucks Canada: Half Off Frappuccinos During Happy Hour (May 1 To May 10)

Head over to your local Starbucks location to participate in Frappuccino happy hour. You will receive half off your Frappuccino and have a delicious coffee treat to show for it.

Mmmm, spring is here in a delicious way. I have packed away my sweaters, and now Starbucks is encouraging me to switch over to creamy iced coffee treats from my regular cup. Head over to your local Starbucks chain between May 1st and May 10th to participate in Starbucks Frappuccino happy hour. Between the hours of 3pm to 5pm, you will receive half off your delicious frozen drink.

Perhaps you are running through the carpool lane until 5pm? No problem if you are a member of the Starbucks Rewards program. As an added bonus, all Starbucks Rewards members will be able to receive half off a Frappuccino for an extended hour from 3pm to 6pm. If that is not enough reason to join Starbucks Rewards, check out my previous post to learn a little more about the Starbucks Rewards program. It will be well worth your while to click on that post again. There is a dancing bird video included on that post.

It has been a while since I treated myself to a Starbucks Frappuccino. Winter was long and usually a Skinny Vanilla Latte or Skinny Carmel Machiatto found its way into my cup. The Frappuccinos are decadent, but you can order a lite version of several of them that will scale back the treat a little. The smallest light caramel Frappuccino and smallest light coffee Frapuccino are both listed on the under 200 calories menuIf you are having trouble deciding on your flavor, here is a sample of what you have to look forward to.

  • S’mores Frappuccino
  • Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino
  • Mocha Frappuccino
  • Java Chip Frappuccino
  • Strawberries & Cream Frappuccino (caffeine free!)
  • Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino- (caffeine free!)

There are many more available, so check your local location. If you are feeling extra decadent, try that new S’mores Frappuccino. It was reported recently in Time Magazine that this Frappuccino can be upgraded with a cookie straw that is lined with chocolate ganache. I think I just had a sugar crash right there in the middle of the sentence. According to The Telegraph, this decadent treat is only available in North America for Canadian and American locations. The ultimate question is can you drink the whole Frappuccino before you eat your cookie straw?

East Side Mario’s Canada: Get Kids Meals, Mario’s Chillers or Desserts For Just $2 on Tuesdays

East Side Marios Canada: Get Kids Meals, Marios Chillers or Desserts For Just $2 on Tuesdays

Tuesday always feels better than Monday. Mainly because we are one day closer to Friday, but East Side Mario’s just gave us another reason to appreciate Tuesday. Head into your local East Side Mario’s restaurant on a Tuesday (including today) and you can enjoy a variety of Kids meals, Mario’s Chillers, and desserts for just $2 each.

Could you imagine feeding your kids for just $2 each? Now that can be a reality. Every Tuesday, East Side Mario’s Canada offers their $2 Tuesdays promotion. Now you can enjoy kids meals, Mario’s Chillers and desserts for just $2 each. The second day of the week just got so much better! The catch is that these offers are valid for dine-in only. You can’t order these delicious items for take out and get the same deal unfortunately.

There is quite a selection of items available for just $2, you and your kiddo will not be disappointed. If you wanted to go just for dessert, you can do that too. Sometimes my best friend and I will go to East Side Mario’s or Kelsey’s just to get a drink and dessert, to catch up and enjoy a treat. At East Side Mario’s you can choose between the B&W Chocolate Mousse Cake, Buddha Binger Bites or Mario’s Super Sundae for just $2. Anyone can enjoy one of these three items I am sure. I know I wouldn’t mind trying all three. These desserts would have normally cost you $3 each.

The Buddha Binger Bites might confuse you with their name, but they are delicious. They are bits of pizza dough, deep fried and then put in cinnamon sugar. They are served with a delicious caramel dipping sauce and I would pick these over Timbits anyday. Get a dessert and a chiller and you have yourself a $12 girls’ night out. The Mario’s Chillers sound delicious too. Choose from flavours like Jolly Rancher, Root Beer Float, Sparkling Shirley Temple, Cookie Cream Dream, S’mores Shake and more. These drinks sound like a dessert on their own.

There is no exclusions to the kids meals included in this offer. Choose any kids meal you want for your little one, and pay just $2. There is a limit to 8 kids meals though. So hopefully you don’t have more than 8 children, haha. Kids, you can choose from delectable items like Chicken Fingers, Cheese Cappelletti, Kids Top Sirloin, Chicken Parmigiana and more. Where else could you get your kid a meal like that for just $2?

Bring Your Own Cup $1.49 Slurpee Day @ 7-Eleven Canada (EXPIRED)

Posted by on March 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM

Bring Your Own Cup $1.49 Slurpee Day @ 7 Eleven Canada (EXPIRED)

This event is becoming legendary. 7-Eleven Canada is offering Slurpees for only $1.49 on March 20th when you bring your own cup. You can fill almost any food safe container, which means this is enough Slurpee for an entire family.

7-Eleven has offered several different versions of this Slurpee event over the years. This year 7-Eleven is bringing back the very popular bring your own cup promotion. For only $1.49 you can fill any cup with a variety of delicious flavours in store between 11am and 7pm. This is the price of a small Slurpee, so you are getting a lot of frozen beverage for your money.

There are some rules on the container you put your Slurpee. Make sure your chosen container fits these rules so you can take your Slurpee home.

  • Your container can only be a maximum of 26 cm in diameter. They have a “magic measuring hole” in store and your container must fit inside.
  • Your container has to hold liquids and be leak proof. You cannot just hold your hands or hat under the Slurpee machine.
  • Only one container per person, per day is allowed. If your brain is not frozen from the first one, I suppose you could hit up multiple locations.
  • The container must be food safe. No gasoline cans or containers that previously held antifreeze.

The Huffington Post Canada featured some of the craziest containers from last year’s Slurpee Day. You have to check out those photos!

Is your mouth beginning to water for Slurpee? Check out this list of some of the available flavours. Flavours may vary based on location.

  • Sour Cherry
  • Manitoba Mosquito Bite (Orange Crush)
  • Crush Lite Grape
  • Mountain Dew Voltage
  • Brisk Lemonade
  • Mug Rootbeer
  • Schweppes Ginger Ale
  • 7up
  • Dr. Pepper Cherry

Head over to 7-Eleven for your Slurpee tomorrow. There will be a lot of brain freezes across Canada, and not because it is still winter. I think I will save some of mine in my freezer.

Bargainmoosers, what is your favourite Slurpee flavour or flavour combination?

5 Tips to Save Money on Fine Dining

A wonderfully aesthetic and tasty appetizer, a delicious entree, and delectable desert.  A view, a romantic occasion to treat yourselves… these are just some of the reasons people like to dine out.

Personally I’m not a foodie but I do like to go to a nice restaurant once in a while for a special occasion like an anniversary or a birthday.  Some people I know like to go to a nice restaurant on a more frequent or monthly basis and they enjoy the experience of dining out.  There are some amazing restaurants here on the West Coast and I am very lucky to be able to taste some of these culinary delights.  For those that love to go out to a nice restaurant and try out different restaurants in their city, here are a few tips on how to save money on your next fancy meal out.

Find Restaurant Deals and Sign Up For Them

You can check out great updates from Bargainmoose’s Dining Out page for some excellent deals at your favourite restaurants across Canada.

Another website that I quite like is the Travelzoo website, just click on restaurants and look for your city (or the city in Canada that you want to dine at).  Some of the deals have been at some great restaurants in Vancouver and include deals such as a shared appetizer, dessert, and two entrees for two people for $49 (which would normally cost at least $75 to $100 for two people) at some of the very popular finer dining establishments in Vancouver.   Usually the entrees go for $25 to $35 per plate.  For most of these coupons you can also buy them for four people at a table (if you want to split it with your friends).

Choose Lunch Rather Than Dinner

According to Moneysense, lunch is usually less than one-third to one-half of the price of dinner, especially at fine dining restaurants (including those highly coveted and ranked Michelin star restaurants).  Therefore, it makes sense to go for lunch instead of dinner if you are keen on saving money and trying some culinary expertise at these fine dining establishments.

Avoid Alcohol

Five Ten Twenty club blog (a blog that helps you reach your financial goals at $5, $10, or $20 a day) recommends that you avoid buying alcohol.  As tempting as buying that glass (or half bottle) of wine may be, the mark-up at fine dining restaurants is astronomical.  The wealthy Donald Trump is well known for avoiding alcohol when he goes out to a restaurant for meals because he wants to avoid the mark-up.

Sign up for Newsletter or Email Updates from your Favourite Restaurant

If you have a favourite restaurant (or even chain of restaurants) take a few minutes to take a look at their website and sign up for their newsletter or email updates.  Although it might be annoying to receive yet another piece of junk email in your inbox, sometimes when you are in the mood to go to that restaurant and are looking for a deal, that deal will be there in your inbox when you conveniently need it.

In addition, if the restaurant is participating in giving out freebies on your birthday, signing up for their email (and giving a little bit of your demographic information) will allow you to get a freebie notification for your birthday treat, even if it is just a free appetizer.

Sign up for Open Table

Although the bang for your buck isn’t very much, according to LifeHacker, if you sign up for Open Table (an online reservations service that is free to sign up for and often used by restaurants), you will get 100 points for every reservations you make.  When you get 2000 points you will receive a $26 credit to use at your next restaurant dining experience.  Unfortunately that is a lot of reservations and a lot of dining out so this tip might not be worth the added expense of dining out so frequently!

I try to avoid dining out often in order to save money, but when I do dine out, I look for a deal to avoid the sting in the wallet.  It makes my dining out experience much better to know that I am getting more bang for my hard earned buck.
