Dickies Canada: Flannel Shirt On Sale $25 + EXTRA 70% Off – Now Just $10!

Posted by on January 26, 2015 at 1:30 PM

Dickies Canada: Flannel Shirt On Sale $25 + EXTRA 70% Off Now Just $10!

Browsing around Dickies’ sale section, I found the long sleeve button flannel shirt on sale for $24.49 from an original retail price of $34.99 and the best part is that right now, you can use the coupon code SALE70 to reduce the price by an additional 70% and get it for just $10.50!

Just $10 for a flannel shirt is absolutely fantastic. Recently, my hubby paid around $25 for a plaid shirt with a similar appearance and yet, it’s already falling apart because it isn’t made with a durable fabric.

This Dickies on, on the other hand, is made from 100% cotton with double topstitched seams that are reinforced for extra durability.

It has also already been pre-shrunk, which means that it is unlikely that it will shrink when you wash or dry it, although it’s always worth taking extra care just to prevent any unwanted shrinkage. Make sure to read the label extra carefully but in general, Dickies clothing can easily be both machine washed and dried without any problems.

What I like about Dickies clothing is that most of it is available in a tall size, albeit at a slightly higher price tag. My hubby is 6’5″ and most flannel shirts tend to fit horribly on him with the sleeves being too short and the shirt not being long enough, so it’s definitely great to be able to choose a tall size from the drop-down menu. For this button flannel shirt, the price difference is only of $0.90 compared to the regular size once the coupon code is applied. So at checkout, it will be reduced to just $11.40.

This flannel shirt can also be had in the following three colours: red, blue or black (also featured on the picture above). The small size, however, is only available in either red or black.

Keep in mind that the Dickies coupon code mentioned above expires on February 1st and may be applied to anything in the sale section to save an extra 70% off. On top of the flannel shirt, you can also save on:

Shipping is free when you spend over $75, other a shipping fee between $8 and $15 will apply, depending on where you live.

Evymama Canada Promo Code: 40% Off Winter Nursing & Maternity Clothes

Evymama Canada Promo Code: 40% Off Winter Nursing & Maternity Clothes

For a limited time, you can save 40% off winter maternity and nursing clothes at Evymama with the code below.

Click here to shop @ Evymama.ca now

  • Coupon Code: WINTER40
  • Discount: 40% off
  • Expiry: Unknown

When I was pregnant, I quickly realized a very depressing fact: maternity and nursing wear is not cheap. Perhaps it’s because the makers of these types of clothing know that their pregnant clientele basically has no other choice but to buy their clothes, especially when nothing begins to fit.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, I spotted the Seraphine Luella sequin maternity dress. It looks absolutely stunning and is already sold out in most sizes! If you’re a size 4 or 8, then you can get this dress on sale for just $94.80 instead of its original price of $158.

I also found the Seraphine Ingrid lace cocktail maternity dress in black. It’s only available in a size 8 and with due reason as it’s gorgeous and is sure to garner plenty of compliments. With the code, it comes down to $190 (reg. $315).

Maternity pants are absolutely essential when you’re pregnant, so be sure to check out the last page of Evymama’s winter selection. There are a couple of great choices like the 9Fashion Urano skinny leg underbelly or the straight leg overbelly, which are price at $118 and get reduced to $70.80.

Shipping costs $15 but if you spend over $300, then your order will qualify for free shipping. If you live in Toronto near Evymama’s Danforth Avenue or Jane street stores, then you can also save on the cost of shipping by picking up your order.

If you need filler items to get to the $300 free shipping threshold, then check out Evymama’s last chance maternity and last chance nursing sections, where reductions start at 50% off.

Although it’s only available in large, I found the Daisychain maternity metro designer support belt on sale for just $12.50. It was originally priced at $49.99, which puts it at a 75% discount!

I absolutely LOVE my Daisychain support belt! Not only is it comfortable to wear, I get complimented on it every where I go. As someone who is all belly, this product has been a lifesaver to my back

As always, you can also find this Evymama coupon code in our forum.

$20 Off Roku 1 Streaming Media Player @ Best Buy & Future Shop Canada – Now $40

Posted by on January 25, 2015 at 1:00 PM

$20 Off Roku 1 Streaming Media Player @ Best Buy & Future Shop Canada Now $40

Right now at either Best Buy or Future Shop, you can pick up the Roku 1 streaming media player for just $39.99. It usually retails for $59.99. Shipping is free as well.

Back in November, Walmart had the Roku 1 on sale for just $10 at Walmart. That was a phenomenal price drop and as it turns out, was a massive error that was quickly corrected as well. Nonetheless, if you have been eagerly waiting for another similar price drop, then this deal from Best Buy and Future Shop is perhaps the best one that we’re going to see for a while. Anything can happen, of course, but if you have been wanting to get this useful device, then now is as good a time as any.

So what exactly is the Roku 1? It’s a media streaming player that provides access to over 450 channels with over 150,000 movies and TV shows. Plus, you can even use your smart phone as a remote with their handy app — you know, for those times that the remote falls on the floor and you’re too lazy to pick it up? $20 Off Roku 1 Streaming Media Player @ Best Buy & Future Shop Canada Now $40

Wondering what hockey has to do with the Roku? With it, you can also stream tons of sports live like NHL GameCenter, MLS live, UFC and more.

If you’re not very techy and are worried about running into difficulties setting the Roku up, then you will be happy to know that it’s super easy to install, as evidenced by this review:

Surpasses my expectations….Easy to set up, great sound, good image quality…Good product for the price.

One the biggest negative comments with the Roku is with regards to the Canadian content. It’s a media streaming device that is US-based, which then expanded into the Canadian market and as such, they are still in the midst of adding content. This reminds me of the negative feedback that the Canadian Netflix has generated over the years and yet, even it has significantly improved. So the way I see it is that the Roku is definitely worth getting on sale, especially since it’s sure to only get better and better.

50% Off Mamas & Papas Globe Magic Rocker @ Shop.ca – Now $200 & Free Shipping

Posted by on January 24, 2015 at 6:00 PM

50% Off Mamas & Papas Globe Magic Rocker @ Shop.ca Now $200 & Free Shipping

Prepping for a baby? The Mamas & Papas globe magic rocker is half off at Shop.ca right now. Instead of an eyebrow-raising price of $399.99, you can get it for just $199.53. Shipping is free as well.

I know that even a $200 price tag on a rocker can seem insane but I decided to blog it anyways because the discount is awesome and there is also the fact that Mamas & Papas is an incredibly renown and well-liked brand of baby products.

The prices on Mamas & Papas merchandise is known for being high but so is the quality threshold.

I have to admit that I was gifted a very basic chair for my baby and it has certainly done the job but I would most definitely have preferred this Mamas & Papas one because it looks absolutely comfortable. My baby has never fallen asleep in the chair we have but I’m sure she would have fallen asleep in a heartbeat in the magic rocker, especially since it’s a rocker in the true sense of the word. With two modes, it can rock the baby back and forth or side to side.

Two words to describe these two modes: pure heaven! Well I can only assume so anyways!

Here are some more notable features:

  • Light show when MAGIC card is inserted
  • MP3 compatible
  • Safety harness is secure and padded
  • Removable cover & head hugger (machine washable)

This rocker also has a lock feature that allows it to be locked into a stationery position. I’m particularly curious about this aspect because now that my baby is crawling and on the verge of walking, it has been absolutely impossible to place her in the chair we have. Even though we clip her in, she finds a way to wiggle out of it and I’m always scared that the chair will tip over when I’m not looking but a stationery lock would certainly fix that problem!

The fact that it’s MP3 compatible is also a great feature. Ours plays the same three songs over and over and over again… and let’s just that after a couple of months of hearing the same melody, we stopped turning ours on altogether.

Keep in mind that the required three C batteries aren’t included.

This Weekend Only: No Minimum Free Shipping @ Teavana With Promo Code

This Weekend Only: No Minimum Free Shipping @ Teavana With Promo Code

Love Teavana’s tea? Then you will be delighted to know that this weekend, you can secure absolutely free shipping on any order, with no required minimum purchase!

Click here to shop @ Teavana.com

  • Coupon Code: WINTERWKND
  • Discount: free shipping on any order
  • Expires: 25th January 2015

Do you ever just not feel like leaving the house, especially to get something so trivial as tea? I love tea and I drink a lot of it but I’m not the biggest fan of wasting gas just to go grab myself some tea.

With this being said, I love no minimum free shipping offers for this exact reason. There aren’t very many items on sale right now at Teavana but if you have a favourite tea and don’t want to leave the house to go get it, then this promotion is for you.

Browsing around Teavana’s site, I was looking for a new tea to try and stumbled on the Wild Orange Blossom Herbal tea. Although it’s one of the cheaper teas that you can get as it’s $6.98 for 2oz, the description makes it sound absolutely delicious with its hibiscus flowers, rose hip peels and citrus slices. Here’s what one happy tea sipper had to say about it:

Wonderful way to start the day with loads of energy! Great to get the stomach working after meals!

When I mentioned Teavana’s coupon code for free shipping to a friend of mine who loves their teas, she recommended the Moroccan mint green tea. It’s $4.98 per 2oz and features a refreshing spearmint flavour. I have to admit that I would normally not even consider trying a green tea with a minty flavour but according to my friend, it’s not too overpowering and is a tea that her entire office has been obsessed with recently. A happy reviewer had this to say about it as well:

I was hesitant to order this tea because I’m not a big fan of green tea. I know it has huge health benefits though so I though I’d give it a try. I LOVE THIS TEA! I drink a cup every evening and it just sets the mood for a relaxing evening. It is quite smooth and the spearmint is just the right level – not too strong but still present. I’ve recommended this to everyone who will listen.

Moosers, what is your favourite tea at Teavana?

Stream Media With A Free Copy Of Mezzmo (DLNA Media Server) With Conceiva Promo Code – $40 Value

Posted by on January 22, 2015 at 6:00 PM

Stream Media With A Free Copy Of Mezzmo (DLNA Media Server) With Conceiva Promo Code $40 Value

Don’t ya just love freebies? Enter the code below to get a free copy of Mezzmo at Conceiva. This software’s retail price is of $39.72.

Click here to get a free copy of Mezzmo @ Conceiva.com now

  • Coupon Code: CPNMEZZMOSPTFY
  • Discount: free Mezzmo copy
  • Expiry: Unknown

So what exactly is Mezzmo? I have to admit that I had never heard of them before but as it turns out, it’s DLNA (Digital Library Network Alliance) that allows you to stream media from a computer or NAS drive onto just about any device like a TV, a gaming console, digital media players, smart phones etc.

To get this freebie, you need to:

  1. Click the link above
  2. Add “The Ultimate Home Entertainment Pack” to your cart by clicking “buy”
  3. Remove “DownloadStudio” from your cart
  4. Erase the code already entered at the top right
  5. Enter the code above

There may be 5 steps but it’s really easy and straightforward. If you don’t remove DownloadStudio from your cart, the $39.72 credit will still be applied, making Mezzmo free, but you will be charged $33.09.

I’m always skeptical about the promise of any kind of freebies, especially software ones but I tried this one myself and it did indeed work. Here’s a screenshot I took of the checkout:

Stream Media With A Free Copy Of Mezzmo (DLNA Media Server) With Conceiva Promo Code $40 Value

Since I had never heard of Mezzmo before, I checked out CNET‘s review and was surprised to find that it has garnered an average user rating of 4.5/5 stars along with a download editor’s rating of 4/5 stars. Here’s what one reviewer had to say about it:

Easy set up. Streams anything! Easy to interact with, no need to be a computer wizard. Even my girlfriend learn how to use it and she is not very bright with computers.

It’s definitely reassuring that it’s easy to use, even for the non-techiest of people. Here’s another review that offers a good to know tip:

Excellent software solution to stream media over a network. You need at least a DLNA capable client. This server software will allow you to stream most media across a network. You can even include folders from non-DLNA compatible NAS device.

Conceiva’s guide on how Mezzmo stands up against competitor is also worth checking out as according to their comparison table, Mezzmo is significantly better — slightly biased on their part, I’m sure, but it’s still interesting to see the kind of features that Mezzmo includes like the ability to create playlists, fast speeds, transcoding, gapless playback and much more.

Make Your Own Wine With The Argentia Ridge Peach Chardonnay Wine Kit @ Costco Canada – Just $1.63 Per Bottle

Posted by on January 21, 2015 at 5:00 PM

Make Your Own Wine With The Argentia Ridge Peach Chardonnay Wine Kit @ Costco Canada Just $1.63 Per Bottle

Want to try your hand at making your own wine? Costco has a fantastic deal on the Argentia Ridge Argentia Breeze peach Chardonnay wine kit. It’s currently on sale for just $48.99 (reg. $59.99) and makes 30 bottles of wine!

An $11 discount on the original price may not seem like much but even at its original price, this kit is a great deal. Depending on the wine you get, a bottle of wine typically retails for $10 or more and if we look at the discounted price in relation to the amount of bottles it makes (30), then each bottle ends up costing just $1.63 — wow!

Needless to say the bottles aren’t included but once you purchase these from elsewhere, then you will be able to reuse them the next time that you make wine. Either that or you could also upcycle the bottles after you have finished the wine.

However, you won’t have to worry about having to buy any corks or shrink caps as the kit comes with these. All in all, the kit includes:

  • grape juice concentrate
  • fruit flavour pack
  • additive pack (1 set)
  • 30 corks
  • 30 shrink caps
  • 30 wine labels

You won’t find reviews once you click on the link above but I did find a couple of reviews on an older page of Costco’s that you can view here. Here’s what one reviewer had to say about this wine kit:

I purchased this kit because I liked the peach chardonnay from another line and this one was a better deal as it includes the labels and corks. Once bottled we opened the last bottle of the other line and one of these ones and did a taste test. This one was preferred by 4 of the 5! I purchased the first kit the middle of May and my second the middle of June! I see many more in the future

… and here’s another review:

The wines from Argentia Ridge are very nice. This peach chardonnay was liked by all who tried it. But where this product really shines is the company behind it. Argentia Ridge offers amazing customer service. If you contact them with any questions or have an issue with your kit, they get back to you and address your questions and/or concerns.

That last review is particularly reassuring, especially if you have never made wine before. In any case, Argentia Ridge also offers wine making instructions on their site.

Canadian Freebie: 6 Free Window Coverings For Roll-Up Shades, Vertical Blinds, Draperies & More!

Posted by on January 21, 2015 at 7:00 AM

Canadian Freebie: 6 Free Window Coverings For Roll Up Shades, Vertical Blinds, Draperies & More!

Got a baby or are you expecting one? Then you’re going to want to make your blinds as safe as possible and luckily, Window Coverings is giving away as many as 6 different retrofit window coverings.

Once you click over to the Window Coverings site, all you need to do is click on “order free retrofit kits” from the menu at the top of the page. You will then be taken to FulltimeInnovations.com, which will allow you to order anywhere from one to six retrofit window coverings, depending on which ones you need.

Baby proofing is no joke. My little one is nearly nine months old and the time has definitely come for me to baby proof. Speaking of which, not too long ago, I wrote about a free safety latch starter kit from P&G and if you haven’t submitted your information yet, then make sure to do it now as well. It comes with 2 cupboard handle locks and 2 cupboard latches.

I have to admit that I didn’t fuss over the different styles of window coverings too much and just went ahead and ordered all of them because I figure that I could most likely either use them in the future or at least give them away to friends and family.

Essentially, you can choose between window coverings for:

  • bottom-up top-down styles (with a cord joiner device)
  • roman shade
  • roll-up type shades or roller blinds
  • miniblinds, pleated shaded or horizontal blinds purchases before 1995
  • miniblinds, pleated shaded or horizontal blinds purchases after 1995
  • vertical blinds & traverse-rod draperies

With the exception of the first one on the list, all of these may also be ordered up to five times each. This means that you could technically get as many as 26 freebies but let’s be honest, you most likely don’t even need that many!

Once you check out, you will be asked to enter your mailing information but don’t worry about the words “check out” as you won’t be asked to enter any form of payment. The Basic Window Cord Safety guide is always worth checking out on the Window Coverings site as they clearly outline what to look for with regard to blinds and draperies in order to keep children safe.

Disclaimer: these window coverings may not stop cats from ruining your blinds. However, they will keep babies and kids safe! Canadian Freebie: 6 Free Window Coverings For Roll Up Shades, Vertical Blinds, Draperies & More!

Dickies Canada Promo Code: 30% Off Everything

Posted by on January 20, 2015 at 3:00 PM

Dickies Canada Promo Code: 30% Off Everything

Here’s a promotion that you won’t want to miss: Dickies has brought back their 30% discount on everything site wide but you only have until the end of the weekend to take advantage of it.

Click here to shop @ Dickies.ca now

  • Coupon Code: SALE30
  • Discount: 30% off
  • Expiry: 25th January 2015

Dickies frequently releases discounts for specific categories of apparel on its site but a 30% site wide discount is somewhat of a rare occurrence. The last time that they offered such a discount was actually back in October and before that, it was in January of last year. See a trend? Dickies Canada Promo Code: 30% Off Everything

Speaking of which, you can keep track of all Dickies coupon codes and promotions on the Bargainmoose forum. You can also sign up to receive all of the latest discounts straight into your inbox.

The great part about this code is that it truly is “site wide” and you can also use it to save even more on sale items. My hubby has been on a huge plaid shirt kick and I know he would absolutely love the doe skin shirt. It’s already on sale for $31.79 (reg. $52.99) and further comes down to just $22.25 at checkout. That’s a really great price for a shirt that is 100% cotton with double topstitched reinforced seams. He recently bought a plaid shirt from a store at the mall for the same price and the seams are already coming apart! So at least with this Dickies one, it’s sure to last more than just one season, which is pretty awesome for the discounted price. Depending on the size, it’s available in either red, blue or green.

I was surprised to discover that this code also works on work boots like the 6″ hammer boots. The upper material consists of a full grain leather material and they’re full lined with a moisture wicking fabric. I’m tempted to get these for my hubby just for the last part because his feet tend to sweat a lot in his current boots, thus causing his feet to smell quite strongly at times. They’re also oil and slip resistant. Regularly priced at $129.99, they can be yours for just $90.99.

Dickies is known for its workwear but they also have 3 styles of hiker boots to choose from for men only. The cheapest are the solo hiker boots for $89.99, which get reduced to $62.99. They’re waterproof, shock absorbing and are made with a suede leather upper material.

Shipping is free if you spend over $75.

$5 Deal Is Back @ Pizza Hut Canada!

$5 Deal Is Back @ Pizza Hut Canada!

Pizza Hut’s “$5 bucks, $5 bucks, $5 bucks” deal is back and if you’re not sure what to have for dinner this evening, then a couple of pizzas could be a good idea.

The way it works is that with the purchase of any medium or large pizza, you can then get the second, third and even the fourth medium pizza for just $5 apiece. Each additional pizza must be of equal or lesser value to the first pizza.

I was expecting Quebec to be full excluded from this deal but luckily, it’s not! The only difference is that the first pizza must be a large. In the past, Quebec residents had no choice but to order their pizza from Red Berry Web but it would seem that it now works from the PizzaHut.ca site as well. I was successful in entering a Quebec address and in finding a store nearby to place the order.

Once I added a large hand-tossed meat lover’s pizza to my cart, I was convinced that an extra charge would be applied towards a second medium meat lover’s pan pizza but surprisingly, it wasn’t. While the first pizza was $15.99, the second pizza came up to $12.99 and a $7.99 discount was applied, making the second pizza just $5.

So if you’re not sure which crust to get, then I definitely recommend the pan one, especially since you won’t need to pay any additional fees on the additional pizzas.

As for the pizza itself, you have the choice between one of Pizza Hut’s famous crusts like Supreme Lover’s, Triple Crown, Hawaiian, Chicken Caesar or you can also choose to make your own. Just keep in mind that there is no discount on the first pizza, so you may want to keep the toppings to a minimum.

At checkout, Pizza Hut will attempt to tempt you with the Ultimate Hershey’s Chipits cookie. Although I have never tried it, it does look good, but I recommend instead the Hershey’s chocolate dunkers. Those are my absolute favourites and they’re even better if you manage to keep them warm during the time it takes you to finish the pizzas.

Don’t be surprised to see a $2 delivery charge be added to your subtotal as well. This is a standard charge and you can avoid it by picking up the order at your local Pizza Hut store instead but do you really want to in this cold weather? $5 Deal Is Back @ Pizza Hut Canada!

Best Buy Canada: $60 Off Cuisinart 15pc Knife Block Set – Now $90

Mmmmm general tao… why go to a restaurant when you can make your own? But you’re going to need a good knife and if you don’t already have one, then I found a great deal on the Cuisinart 15-pc knife block set at Best Buy. Originally priced at $149.99, you can now save $60 and get it for just $89.99.

Using a picture of delicious-looking General Tao when talking about a knife block set may seem like an odd choice but fact of the matter is that you need a good knife when handling meat. I’m not the one who handle the deboning and slicing chore or meat handling in my household, but every time my hubby does it, he makes sure to sharpen his knife beforehand!

The Cuisinart 15-pc knife block set comes with:

  • 8″ chef’s knife
  • 8″ bread knife
  • 5.5″ serrated utility knife
  • 5″ Santoku knife
  • 3.5″ pairing knife
  • Six 4.5″ steak knives
  • Sharpening steel
  • Shears (scissors)
  • Knife block

Just writing about this knife block set is making me want to get it for myself because the blade is made from high-carbon stainless steel and the handle is ergonomically designed. My hubby is a leftie, while I’m a rightie, so it would definitely make things easier for him.

Personally, I would ditch the knife block, however. I have heard it being mentioned numerous times on television daytime shows like The Doctors and Dr. Oz that these are the perfect habitat for bacteria. Perhaps it would be okay to use at first but it should definitely be discontinued after a couple of months.

Price comparing, I found this same knife block set retailing for its full price of $189.99 at Sears.

To get back to the topic of General Tao, if you have never made it yourself, it’s super easy and I definitely recommend General Tsao’s chicken recipe available on All Recipes. If you like cooking completely from scratch, then it’s the perfect recipe to follow or you could just do what I do and buy a bottle of General Tao sauce. Once your chicken is cooked, you simply douse it in the sauce and voila — restaurant quality General Tao! Best Buy Canada: $60 Off Cuisinart 15pc Knife Block Set – Now $90

Shipping Best ships orders over $25 for free, you’re sure to get this knife block set shipped to you at no extra cost.
