Today Only: 73% Off Best Of Warner Bros. 100 Film Collection Now Just $164 (Was $600) @ Amazon Canada (+ FS) (EXPIRED)

Calling all movie buffs, here’s an offer from Amazon that you definitely won’t want to miss! Until the end of the day today, you can save a whopping 73% on the Best of Warner Bros. 100-film collection. Originally priced as high as $599.99, it’s now down to just $163.99 — wow! Plus, it comes with absolutely free shipping.

If we think about it this way, each movie was originally $6 but is now down to just $1.64 per movie — pretty amazing if you ask me.

This is the world’s largest film collection on DVD and also includes all 22 of Warner Bros.’ Library’s Best Picture winners. These are presented in a book via 55 discs, along with two documentaries:

  • Tales from the Warner Bros. Lot
  • The Warner Bros. Lot Tour

The selection of movies range in years, with the oldest one being from 1927, The Jazz Singer, and the most recent one being 2006’s The Departed. Luckily, once you click over to Amazon’s site, all of these are arranged from the oldest to the most recent.

Here are just some of the oldest movies:

  • The Jazz Singers (1927)
  • Broadway Melody of 1929 (1929)
  • The Public Enemy (1931)
  • Cimarron (1931)
  • Grand Hotel (1932)

And some of the most recent ones:

  • The Departed (2006)
  • Million Dollar Baby (2005)
  • The Notebook (2004)
  • Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2001)
  • The Matrix (1999)

The first Lord of the Rings movies are also all included: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Two Towers (2002) and The Return of the King (2003).

Other noteworthy movies that are sure to excite some of you include but are not limited to:

  • Superman, The Movie (1977)
  • The Shining (1980)
  • The Outsiders (1983)
  • Full Metal Jacket (1987)
  • Lethal Weapon (1987)
  • Driving Miss Daisy (1989)
  • Batman (1989)

I have to admit that I was definitely surprised to see “Interview with the Vampire” from 1994 on the list. It’s definitely an amazing movie that is worth watching but it’s still kind of surprising that it’s on the list of the best movies, isn’t it? Although then again, I guess it’s not that surprising considering that both Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise are in it! Trade Up To iPhone 6 From Just $80 With Telus @ Best Buy Friends & Family Sale (March 26th In-Stores Only) (EXPIRED)

Posted by on March 25, 2015 at 7:00 PM

Trade Up To iPhone 6 From Just $80 With Telus @ Best Buy Friends & Family Sale (March 26th In Stores Only) (EXPIRED)

I love iPhones a little too much to agree with the funny image above of the iPhone 6 bending down to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 but the fake ad is a genius one nonetheless! Speaking of iPhones, tomorrow on March 25th, Best Buy will be having a Friends & Family Sale with the possibility to trade up to an iPhone 6 for as low as $79.99. This offer is only with a Telus plan, but there are other offers clients of Bell, Rogers and Virgin Mobile.

The iPone 6 trade-in offer is the one that most caught my attention because not only I’m with Telus myself but I also have the iPhone 5s. When the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus first came out, I contemplated switching but ultimately opted not to shell out the big bucks to upgrade to the newest toy.

This trade-in offer has captured my attention though because I figure that once the new iPhone comes out in September (nothing is confirmed of course but there is quite the pattern of new iPhones being released every September), then I could potentially have an easier time selling the latest model online as opposed to the one before that. Plus, my hubby has the iPhone 6 and I must say, there is a noticeable difference in the picture quality between the 5s and the 6!

With Best Buy’s Friends & Family Sale, anyone with Telus could get the:

  • iPhone 6 16GB for just $129.99 (reg. $264.99) or $79.99 after trade-in
  • iPhone 6 Plus 16GB for $239.99 (reg. $374.99) or $189.99 after trade-in

The 64GB and 128GB iPhones are also available but prices aren’t listen online, which means that you would have to visit your local store to find out what these are.

The only fine print is that this discount is on “select 2-year new activation or renewal”. Now the only thing is that there is no specification as to the kind of phone that you can trade in. It’s unclear whether you need to have an iPhone to get an iPhone or if you can bring in a Samsung from another service provider. With regards to a renewal, it’s also unclear if your contract needs to be close to the end of its term or not either.

In either case, if you have been wanting the newest iPhone, then this deal is definitely worth checking out in-stores. I don’t suggest you wait until the end of the day either as iPhone deals tend to sell out like hot cakes.

If you would prefer to get a Samsung phone, then you could potentially also get one for free, along with up to a $150 gift card. For the Samsung Galaxy S5, you would have to go with Bell or Rogers or for the S4, you have the choice between Koodo, Virgin Mobile or Fido.

Other offers include but are now limited to:

  • 20% off Beats headphones & speaker with activation of Apple products
  • 20% off Case-Mate iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus cases
  • 10% off wearable tech products

In-Stores Only: $6 Off Huggies 1,160 Pack Huggies Natural Care Plus Wipes – Now Just $20.49 @ Costco (HOT!)

Posted by on March 24, 2015 at 5:02 PM

In Stores Only: $6 Off Huggies 1,160 Pack Huggies Natural Care Plus Wipes Now Just $20.49 @ Costco (HOT!)

No joke, I had been waiting for Huggies wipes to go on sale at Costco for a couple of months now and I’m so happy to see that they’re $6 off again that I’m probably going to buy 5 boxes! Usually priced at $26.49, you can get a box of 1,160 Huggies Natural Care Plus wipes on sale for just $20.49. This offer is only in-stores.

Apparently these wipes went on sale in February but I have to admit that I missed that sale. Last time I saw these wipes get reduced by $6 last summer, if I remember correctly, and at that time, hubby thought I was crazy for getting 6 boxes. Luckily, my hoarding paid off because not only did we not have to worry about getting more wipes for more than half a year but we also saved $36! Every penny counts when you have a baby, especially a newborn. In Stores Only: $6 Off Huggies 1,160 Pack Huggies Natural Care Plus Wipes Now Just $20.49 @ Costco (HOT!)

Do keep in mind that this offer in-stores only and you need to be a Costco member to take advantage of it. If you’re not a member, then you could always go with someone who is as any member is allowed to bring one non-member guest.

In a fit of desperation for more wipes, I bought that Kirkland Signature Tencel baby wipes that were discounted by $4.50, down to $23.49. Reading reviews online convinced me to get them but even discounted, it wasn’t as good of a deal as the reduced in priced Huggies ones.

Here’s a quick price comparison of the prices for each box:

  • 1,160 Huggies wipes @ $20.49 = $0.018
  • 900 Kirkland wipes @ $23.49 = $0.026 per wipe

So not only are the Huggies boxes a significantly better deal over the Kirkland ones but I also prefer them. The Huggies ones never dried out, while the Kirkland seem to quickly lose their wetness if the bag happens to be left open accidentally. I like that the Kirkland wipes are softer to the touch but since they’re slightly bigger than the Huggies ones, it made me wonder if maybe that was the reason for there being less wipes per box (900 instead of 1,160 or more).

Both brands are great but from a budget standpoint, there really isn’t any arguing with which brand is the most economical one. I believe that most Costco warehouses also currently has Frozen-themed boxes of Huggies wipes, which could be exciting if you have other kids who are currently obsessed with this Disney movie.

Costco Canada: 20% Off de Buyer Heavy Duty Black Steel Fry Pan (8″ or 9.5″) – Now From $29 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on March 23, 2015 at 9:55 PM

Costco Canada: 20% Off de Buyer Heavy Duty Black Steel Fry Pan (8 or 9.5) Now From $29 (EXPIRED)

Mmmm hungry yet? It’s still too cold for barbecuing but you could make hamburgers using a frying pan instead! Luckily, the de Buyer heavy duty black steel fry pan is 20% off at Costco and you can get either the 8″ one for $28.99 (reg. $35.99) or the 9.5″ one for $31.99 (reg. $39.99). Costco also offers free shipping.

All things considered, a 20% discount isn’t that dramatic, however, it’s the fact that this pan is significantly more expensive at other stores that is of important consideration.

At Amazon, the 8″ de Buyer fry pan is listed at $76 by de Buyer themselves. So if we compare to this price to Costco’s current price, then it actually comes up to nearly 62% in savings — can’t argue much with that price comparison!

I love Costco for this exact reason. Even items at seemingly full price are usually less than the prices you would see at other stores. Plus when there are price reductions, you can rest assured that you’re most likely paying significantly less. This isn’t always the case and it’s always price comparing but it does hold true most of the time.

To get back to the de Buyer fry pans, both of these sizes are made from extra thick black steel. de Buyer fry pans are also made in France and the cool part about them is that they feature a “Lyonnaise” profile, which enables the food to easily slide off onto the plate because of a high flared and curved skirt. This is an aspect that I’m particularly intrigued about because food I make tends to slide off onto the table instead of into the plate!

In case you need any more convincing, here’s another review:

I’ve been in the professional kitchen since the 80’s. These pans will not disappoint. They will season over time, and be as non stick as any coated pan, without the chemicals. My kids will have these one day, when I stop cooking….

Staples Canada: 88% Off Purell Hand Sanitizer Dispenser – Now Just $1 (HOT!)

Posted by on March 22, 2015 at 9:37 AM

Staples Canada: 88% Off Purell Hand Sanitizer Dispenser Now Just $1 (HOT!)

Can’t get enough of Purell? I can’t get enough of this amazing deal on the Purell FMX manual foam hand sanitizer dispenser. Originally priced at $8.31, it’s now down to just $0.99, which boils down to $7.32 in savings (88% off).

This hand sanitizer dispenser would be perfect for any office, especially since it’s super easy to install and you could get a couple of these to install in every room. Offices are known to be sickness cesspools, so this dispenser would definitely be a great way to try and mitigate that little problem. Here’s what one reviewer had to say about this handy dispenser:

Good product. Installs easily on the wall in a couple of minutes. Very sturdy, looks good. The foam canister slips in only one way making it even easier to install.

Since it’s so cheap, I could also see this dispenser being useful for home use. Wouldn’t it be kind of awesome to place one in the entrance to remind people to disinfect their hands before coming inside?

Perhaps one in the bathroom as well and heck, might as well put one in every room at home as well! I kid…

The only hitch with this amazing deal is the shipping. Staples only ships orders over $45 for free, which means that if you were to only get one of these Purell dispenser or even a couple, you would need to pay the $15 shipping fee. However, make sure to check out the other Purell products that are currently on sale.

This dispenser doesn’t come with soap, so you could pick up the Purell hand sanitizer refill 1L on sale for $10.34 right now. The 100-pack Purell hand sanitizing wipes are also currently on sale for just $4.99. This same pack of wipes is actually going for $38.29 on Amazon‘s marketplace. Lest you think that these aren’t sanitary, each wipe is actually individually wrapped.

You could pair this hand dispenser with another great offer from the Deals Center to avoid the shipping fee. The HP Officejet 6815e all in one printer, for instance, is currently $100 off and is listed at $79.94 (reg. $179.94).

B1G1 On Select Barbie Dolls @ Toys R Us Canada

Posted by on March 21, 2015 at 9:33 PM

B1G1 On Select Barbie Dolls @ Toys R Us Canada

Attention, Toys R Us currently has a pretty awesome deal on select Barbie dolls! While supplies last, you can take advantage of a “buy one, get one free” deal on select Barbie dolls priced at $29.99 or less.

Once you click over to the Toys R Us page, you will be able to click through 4 pages of Barbie dolls with a total of 47 dolls. Some of these, like the Ken groom doll, are already sold out but there are plenty more to choose from.

Technically, this Toys R Us promotion is labelled as “while supplies last” but there is every possibility that it will expire when most other promotions end and that’s at the end of the week. Every week, offers expire on Thursday and new ones are released on Friday. It’s possible that this Barbie one will truly keep going but if you want to take advantage of it, it’s best not to wait until the end of the week to find out.

Save Even More
To save even more, be sure to combine this BOGO offer with dolls that are already on sale. The cheapest one I could find is the Barbie sisters’ fun day skipper doll on sale for $7.47 (reg. $14.99). You could get it for free if you get the next cheapest doll, which is either the pink & purple magic mermaid or just the purple one. Both of these are on sale for $8.47 (reg. $16.99) each.

Another cheap Barbie doll is the beach Raquelle doll on sale for $10.99. The original price isn’t listed but it does has 16 reviews with a total of 4/5 stars! It looks like the perfect doll for some fun in the sun this summer!

Shipping

Shipping is free on orders over $25. I have found that the free shipping offer can be a little unpredictable with Toys R Us, so in the event that you add too many Barbie dolls and the free shipping offer ceases to apply, then just split it into two orders. Most of these dolls are also available for free in-store pickup if you want to get your order quicker.

PS4, PS3 & PS Vita Games Under $1 @ Sony PlayStation Network Flash Sale (EXPIRED)

Posted by on March 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM

PS4, PS3 & PS Vita Games Under $1 @ Sony PlayStation Network Flash Sale (EXPIRED)

Got nothing to do this weekend? Then bust out your PlayStation console and head on over to the PlayStation Network, where you can get plenty of games for under $1… or slightly over.

Okay so the image above isn’t exactly for the faint of heart and I’m kind of cheating in mentioning it but then again, the Sony PlayStation Network cheated as well.

Although, speaking of faint of heart, if you like Cards Against Humanity, did you know that you can now play it online with Cards Against Originality? Make sure to read the blog post I wrote on it a couple of days ago.

There are plenty of deals under $1 to take advantage of but the game in the image above, which is Dead Nation Apocalypse Edition is on sale for $1.65 (reg. $14.99). Forgive me for the $0.65 difference! PS4, PS3 & PS Vita Games Under $1 @ Sony PlayStation Network Flash Sale (EXPIRED)

I’m mentioning it because it’s actually a pretty amazing deal for a game that was originally priced at nearly $15 and is now a whopping 89% off. Plus, any game that is that cheap for the PS4 is definitely pretty awesome, especially considering the fact that Dead Nation has over 38,000 reviews with a total 4/5 stars.

It’s your typical zombie game with the main difference being that the two main characters are, for some unknown reason, immune to the zombie disease despite getting bit and scratched repeatedly. Since it’s a PS4 game, you can expect the gameplay to being stunning, especially as evidenced by this review from PS4 Experts:

Dead Nation: Apocalypse edition is the premier version of Housemarque’s solid arcade shooter. For some, the gameplay may be addictive and unforgettable, while others may find it repetitive and bland. I myself found it to be a mixture of the two and enjoyed my time with it. That being said, the upgraded graphics and included DLC do provide a lot of extra gameplay to delve into. I do also enjoy the support for local co-op.

Games that you can truly get for under $1 include but are not limited to:

  • PS3 – 94% off Tokyo Jungle: reg. $14.99/ now $0.90
  • PS4 – 93% off Surgeon Simulator: reg. $12.99/ now $0.91
  • PS4 – 81% off Home – A Unique Horror Adventure: reg. $4.99/ now $0.95
  • PS3 – 81% off Bejeweled 3: reg. $4.99/ now $0.95
  • PSP/ PS Vita – 81% off Beta Bloc: reg. $4.99/ now $0.95
  • PS3/PSP/PS Vita – 84% off Extreme Pinball: reg. $5.99/ now $0.96
  • PS3 – 63% off Who Wants To Be A Movie Millionaire: reg. $2.99/ now $0.99

Have fun!

L’Occitane Canada: Free Collector’s Hand Cream Tin + 2 Free Mini Shea Butter Hand Creams

Posted by on March 20, 2015 at 9:52 PM

LOccitane Canada: Free Collectors Hand Cream Tin + 2 Free Mini Shea Butter Hand Creams

Want some free hand creams? L’Occitane is currently offering 3 freebies: a free collector’s hand cream tin and two free mini shea butter hand creams. There are two ways to get these freebies: one includes a purchase and the other doesn’t. So keep reading to find out more!

Once you sign up for this freebie, you will be presented with two ways of redeeming it: either via a coupon code or in-stores.

First thing’s first though, once you click on the link above, you will be asked to be a little social with L’Occitane. You will need to either like them on Facebook, follow them on Twitter, follow them on Google + or follow them on Instagram. You can certainly do all four but just one will suffice as well. The second request, that of sharing the offer, is optional but you can do this as well if you wish.

After you enter your name and e-mail address, you will immediately receive an e-mail with the L’Occitane promo code: CASHCS that you will need to enter online on any order over $25. Keep in mind that L’Occitane only ships orders over $59 for free and that if your order doesn’t reach that threshold, then a $9.99 flat shipping rate will apply.

LOccitane Canada: Free Collectors Hand Cream Tin + 2 Free Mini Shea Butter Hand Creams

The other alternative is to print the e-mail (but not the image above!) you receive and bring it to a L’Occitane store near you to get these freebie with no purchase necessary. This is by far the best option as you won’t need to buy anything. The code in the e-mail is unique, so only one person can redeem it but if you go with your partner or friend, then both of you could claim the offer and then print it.

We have heard rumours of L’Occitane employees being in the dark about offers like these but just make sure to show them the e-mail as that’s all the proof you need!

These L’Occitane freebies are only available while supplies last and so, although it’s set to expire in April, it might expire within seconds of this post going live, just as it can expire in a couple of days or even week. One thing is for sure though: don’t wait to redeem it. The last time that Avigayil wrote about a L’Occitane freebie, it ended that same day! We were both lucky to have redeemed it in time but we know that many other Moosers weren’t. So again, don’t wait!

Oh my goodness, is your mouth watering already? Mine definitely is! Until nearly the end of April, you can print this Taco Bell coupon to get a loaded griller for absolutely free with purchase of any combo worth over $5.99

Taco Bell has both a good and bad rep… good because it’s so delicious in your mouth but then bad because of what happens after that for some people. The image above is a good example of what I mean.

Don’t let the meme above deter you from getting this Taco Bell freebie though as free food is never worth passing up, especially since you can choose between the following four varieties of loaded grillers:

  • 5 layer dip loaded griller
  • Beefy nacho loaded griller
  • Chili cheese fries loaded griller
  • Chipotle chicken loaded griller

I have to admit that I haven’t tried any of those but if I was faced with an inquiring cashier waiting for my answer on which one I want, I would most likely go with the 5 layer dip as I love all thing saucy or perhaps the chipotle chicken one as it sounds somewhat healthy… hehe.

The chili cheese fries is definitely an interesting combination as well as it has actual fries inside, along with chili and nacho cheese sauce… sounds perplexing and yet oh so good!

Do keep in mind that you need to buy a combo priced at $5.99 or more to get this freebie but since loaded grillers are considered to be appetizers, then you will basically be getting a complete meal for less than usual. A combo consists of either a taco, burrito or other specialty food item that is then pair with fries and a regular 20oz fountain drink.

Not sure that you could eat this entire meal or want to avoid the calories? Then you could always give the loaded griller to a friend and then share both the fries and the drink. You could perhaps get the chicken quesadilla as your mail meal as it has four slices that can easily be shared between two people.

34 FREE Apps In Celebration Of Appstores Birthday @ Amazon Canada (Android Only) (EXPIRED)

In celebration of the Appstore’s birthday, Amazon is currently offering 34 apps at no extra cost. These are all normally paid apps but until Saturday, you can get them all for free!

This is actually a pretty awesome freebie because if you were to download all of these apps, then you would be looking at up to $115 savings! Now, you can certainly go on a downloading frenzy, especially since there is nothing stopping you from just deleting all of these ones that you don’t actually want after, but perhaps it would be best to just download the ones you see yourself using! 34 FREE Apps In Celebration Of Appstores Birthday @ Amazon Canada (Android Only) (EXPIRED)

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, which is the very first one in the image above, is actually one of the Appstore’s most critically acclaimed app right now as it’s super fun and very addicting. As the nightly security guard, your job is to guard the premises and make sure that nothing goes haywire… but of course, things do go haywire and it’s your job to deal with them! The great part about this app is that it’s kid friendly. It’s usually priced at $3.39.

Cut The Rope looks like a worthy download as well and one that I would certainly go for if I had an Android phone. Originally selling for $1.02, it’s a puzzle game that features 16 boxes with a whopping 400 levels. Forget Candy Crush and it’s never ending levels, try this one instead as you might actually have a chance at beating it!

Servers Ultimate Pro is for the extremely tech savvy. It’s usually priced at $13.39 and is a server setup app that can run over 60 different servers from your device, it has over 70 available protocols and 16 network tools — wow! Usually, each server would cost either $0.99 or $1.99 but with this freebie, you get over 60 servers at no extra charge.

Element of Photography Pro looks like a great app for photography junkies. Usually listed for $2.50, this is actually an educational app that covers all aspects of photography from the basics to the more advanced topics. Even better is that it’s available in 14 languages from English to French, German, Russian, Japanese, etc. If you have been looking into learning more about photography, then this is definitely a must-download!

Moosers, which app(s) will you be getting for free?

Play Cards Against Humanity For FREE Online @ Cards Against Originality

Play Cards Against Humanity For FREE Online @ Cards Against Originality

Get ready to have some outrageous fun because you can now play Cards Against Humanity for free online!

So why is the online version of this popular and highly addicting game under a different name, that of Cards Against Originality? It’s because it wasn’t actually made by the founders of Cards Against Humanity.

However, because Cards Against Humanity is under a Creative Commons license, it gives anyone the right to take this game and do whatever they want with it, including putting it online.

If you have never played this game, then it’s definitely worth trying both with a bunch of friends and online, but I do suggest loading up on booze first. Some of the sentence combinations aren’t exactly PG-friendly, nor are they even friendly for the average audience! Here’s what our very own Anna had to say about Cards Against Humanity:

I LOVE Cards Against Humanity! It’s an excellent game to pull out at a party… but not if anyone is in any way prudish. It can get quite rude, so it’s not for the faint of heart. I’ve played it quite a few times with different people now. Even though the same cards sometimes crop up, you can use them in different combinations as you are being asked different questions each time. One of my best combos was this:
Question: What keeps Barack Obama awake at night? Answer: Michelle Obama’s arms.

As for how to play this outrageous game, it’s really quite simple. After a black card is drawn, each player must complete the sentence on the card with their funniest white card.

If you want to get the physical and actual version of this controversial game, then you can pick it up for $30 at Amazon and there are a total of five expansions. Having played the original version of this game without adding any expansion, I can tell you that you can play it several times without getting bored of seeing the same cards but that if you plan on playing a lot, then it’s definitely worth getting the expansion packs as you’re more likely to forget most cards.

What’s also cool is that if you check out the official Cards Against Humanity site, then you can also download a PDF version of the entire deck. Then, you just need to print, cut out the cards and invite a couple of friends over to play while sipping Margaritas.
