Mark’s Work Wearhouse Canada: up to 70% off

Posted by on August 4, 2012 at 3:00 PM

Marks Work Wearhouse Canada: up to 70% off

Mark’s Canada has a 70% deal running right now. Great deals on many items in store or online. Of course, they supply women’s work wear as well as men’s. Although Mark’s is known for work wear, I have found some pretty nice casual items there as well.

My husband needed work boots immediately, so we went to Mark’s Canada yesterday and found him 2 pairs of boots for the price of one. They are 2 different styles, although neither is listed online. The Leduc Alberta store still has much more items than the online store.

If you need workboots, the Dakota Tarantula antislip 8″ metal free work boots, were $199.99, now $149.99. They have great reviews, with no break in time, not heavy and warm even in temperatures of -40. If you are looking for hiking boots, the Hi-Tec Altitude Ultra Hikers, were $179, now $159.99. If you are looking for sandals the Denver Hayes Tarantula antislip leather sandal, with adjustable strap, was $79.99, now $59.99, looks pretty classy.

Although many times the best deal is online, in the case of Mark’s, we saw much better deals in the store than are presented online. Did anyone notice this with any other stores? Drop me a line and let me know.

Shipping is generally $6.50, with Mark’s letting the purchaser know if it is more before shipping.

Cabelas Canada: Up to 40% Off End Of Season Sales

Cabela’s Canada is giving an end of season sale with up to 40% off.

Even though Cabela’s Canada calls this an “end of season” sale, there are items which will prepare me for fall and winter. I created a complete set of toque, mitts and scarf, which comes in black or ruby. They are made with lambs wool, which is one of the warmest materials I have ever found. The Woolrich women’s lambswool toque, was $24.96, now $6.96. The Woolrich women’s lambswool mitts, was $29.96, now $8.96. The Woolrich women’s lambswool scarf was$29.96, now $8.96. I also chose to add Cabela’s women’s MTP polar weight zip, mock T neck shirt for extra warmth. The high performance fabric wicks the moisture away, which promises to keep me dry and warm this winter. Here is the deal! It was $44.96, now $13.96.

To keep my husband warm this winter, the Misty Mountain Zenith jacket is a great deal, providing both class and warm for our colder months. It come in Black/Graphite, Navy/Graphite and White/Black. This jacket was $146.96, now $44.96. The Thorlo Hunting extreme cold weather socks, have thick cushioning on ball/heel to reduce impact pain and blisters. They were $25.96, now $16.96.

Free shipping to Cabela stores.

Browns Canada Boot Sale: Up to 80% off

Posted by on July 25, 2012 at 6:00 PM

Browns Canada Boot Sale: Up to 80% off

Browns Canada is having a boot sale with up to 80% off chosen items.

Winter is around the corner and with Alberta weather being know for changing quick, its time for me to get prepared. After going through my boots and shoes, I discovered I need a few new pairs. At least one for formal, one for hiking, and one for casual. So many to choose from, it’s going to be hard to decide!

Here is a look at a few of my favorites for women:

  • Gianmarco Lorenzi boots, are knee high, all leather, dress boot, with a few metal highlights. The heel is 120 mm which is just about 5inches, which is about 2 inches higher than I would be comfortable in, but wow…I love them! They were $1898, now $611.98.
  • Sorel is a much more practical boot for Alberta winters, and it has a touch of femininety while portraying a workboot, including faux fur lining and waterproof.  It was $400, now $191.93.
  • Blondo is much more practical for me and it will double as a dress or casual boot. It was $298, now $130.03.

Here is a look at a few of my favorites for men:

  • Primbase was $498, now $134.98. This is a classy looking boot, made of leather with a rubber sole.
  • Browns ID was $180, now $53.53. This looks like a great workboot, also made of leather with rubber soles.
  • Kodiak was $180, now $68.63. It comes in dark brown or black leather and looks good for casual or dressy wear.
  • Cushe, is a waterproof hiker style which was $180, now $71.98

Free standard shipping using coupon code: BOOTS12. Standard shipping is free orders of $198+, or $5 for orders under $198.

Yves Rocher: Free Gifts With Purchase for July

Yves Rocher: Free Gifts With Purchase for July

Yves Rocher Canada has free gifts with purchases during the month of July.

You can choose the gift you want out of Rainbow 5 piece bowl set, thermo pac or trial sizes. When purchasing $15 worth of product you receive the Mexican Aloe Vera Shower gel free. When purchasing $45 worth of product you receive a free summer surprise, valued at $50, also free.

Yves Rocher provides really inexpensive cosmetics and bath products. If your attending a shower or wedding this summer you could make up a fairly inexpensive gift basket full of useful products for the bride. You can treat yourself with the free gifts or pass them forward.

I like the free Rainbow 5 piece bowl set, which could also be used as a shower gift if you are in a pinch, but will also be useful on excursions that require a picnic lunch.

Chapters Indigo Canada: Get 3 hardcover fiction books for $10

Chapters Indigo Canada: Get 3 hardcover fiction books for $10

Chapters Indigo Canada has a super deal on hardcover fiction books.

Reading fiction is one way to reduce stress as we leave our own lives, at least in our minds, and enter a vision of words. Stories pour forth from the pages created in someone else’s imagination, as we step into another time or place.  Chapters Indigo Canada is selling 3 hardcover books for $10. Just pick the book you want, click on it and it automatically sets it to hardcover.

The Last Secret of the Temple, is a murder mystery taking place on the west bank of the Nile. The Jewel of Medina:A Novel, is set during the 7th century, in exotic Arabia. Both these books will take me to exotic foreign lands. Horns, is dark fantasy and horror, which I will most likely never read. I couldn’t pass up the 3 for $10 deal though, so a friend who enjoys visiting the dark side will benefit too.
