I was in charge of sending flowers from our BC families to a 50th Anniversary in Ontario. I usually call a local florist, but saw the 1-800-Flowers post and thought I’d try them for the first time. I actually checked the website several times before I made the final decision. I ordered a few days in advance and got a couple of confirmation emails. I was surprised when I never heard from Ontario family that they had arrived. Flowers were supposed to be delivered Friday and never got there. I spoke to my Aunt Saturday night and she said they were home all day Friday so that wasn’t the problem. Contacted the online customer service said they’d have someone call me as soon as possible. No response so I messaged back and they said it was too late someone would call Sunday. It’s so annoying that Customer Service people don’t check the time change when they call you on a Sunday morning. Seriously people, Ontario & Quebec are 3 hours ahead of BC, not nice. They said the courier had been delayed and the flowers would be delivered on Monday. I kept getting error messages checking the Purolator Tracking number, but eventually connected and found out the arrangement was made in Ottawa on Thursday, went to Montreal, then Toronto, where they still sit. The event was on Friday. It’s over and it’s too late for the flowers. My siblings & families are upset that our flowers never got there and I’m in the dog house. I don’t care about courier problems, I only care that the flowers didn’t make it to the party.
